The Bee says Sergei Monia is leaving the team to play in Europe.

That's surprising – he was a first-round pick two years ago and has never gotten a real chance in Portland or here in Sacramento. I figured he'd get a shot during the summer league to lobby for some minutes.

It also retroactively makes the Brian Skinner-Vitaly Potapenko a straight money move instead of a money move with a side of young Russian project.

But Monia is off to play in Europe. Прощание мой друг. (And no, I don't speak Russian.)
