Well, all that hand-wringing over keeping either Justin Williams or Louis Amundson was for naught: both players were cut today, according to the team's webpage.
I think cutting Williams is a mistake – he could be a solid contributor in a few years, and young bigs with good attitudes and lots of potential aren't cheap. And he can block the hell out of some shots.
Amundson is a somewhat different story – he doesn't seem to have the tools to be an NBA regular, unless he finds a halfway decent shooting stroke in a dumpster somewhere. If you keep Amundson, you keep him for the present. Williams would've been kept for the future.
Now the roster stands at 14. The Kings could add a player at some point in the next six months if need be.
