good point that Davion’s play style is not fitting the Kings’ pace on offense. can he play with more pace on offense and still be a beast on defense? or does he have to slow the game down in order to do that? Not sure. I wouldn’t use the a-hole metaphor however – he said last offseason that he believed it was his destiny to help the Kings reach the playoffs and he delivered on that 100%, impacting countless games with his defense and taking over two Spurs games. He might be needed again this year.

HB as the 5th option is not bad for now. Gives Keegan a bigger opportunity, spaces the floor, and can still exploit a mismatch.

We need a younger good defensive PF to either replace Barnes or let him come off the bench.

yeah, I think everyone agrees with that. the question is who and can they get him and when can they get him and for what price.

If and I think when the Bulls are going to blow things up, but I don’t know when but sometime before the trade deadline, then I would go for Patrick Williams. He’s young and hasn’t even reached his potential. He can really defend in all aspects of the game and can shoot the 3. He is only 22 years old but at times has been the Bulls starting 4. Really mature for his age.

I’m def down for picking up a young PF in a team’s fire sale later this year. HB can mentor until he is replaced.

#1 how do we know there will be a fire sale later this year? #2 If we just stick with Barnes then he will start. With the record he has now we might not get into the playoffs. IMO we need to get a PF before the so called fire sale.

yeah, they mentioned him in the podcast. I have not followed him much at Chicago but I remember his draft profile. I thought he entered a year too early. right about now would be a good time to take a closer look. just glancing at his stats, rebounding numbers are low for a PF.

If you get a chance look at his highlights especially for this year.

Here’s my wish list ancillary pieces that could make the current core a whole lot better:

For the above listed my top three in order would be Patrick Williams, Saddiq Bey( if he has improved his defense) and Josh Hart. IMO of those 3 Hart has the highest contract and probably would cost us the most. I don’t know much about Eason.

I studied Eason a bit and he looks like a fit.

Yeah, I would definitely go after Patrick Williams. Excellent buy-low target who can come in as another 3-D SF/PF. Considering the current state of the Bulls, it looks like they’re about to blow everything up/look for young players, draft picks, expiring contracts. Maybe Davion + a protected first rounder?

Barnes will euro-step around opponents for 28 pts every 10-12 games; and it usually carries the team on those nights. I am fine with that – knowing the Kings are not dependent on it. I am good with Barnes starting.

Interesting thoughts on Mitchell and Barnes . Harrison has been a good low post player but not used there at all this season .Does seem Davion might be a better fit in Miami or Utah .
