It’s time to mark your calendars, Kings fans. The NBA officially released the full schedule for the first round of the NBA playoffs today.
For the first round series between the Sacramento Kings and Golden State Warriors, the schedule is as follows:
Game 1: Saturday, April 15th at 5:30 pm on ABC in Sacramento
Game 2: Monday, April 17th at 7:00 pm on TNT in Sacramento
Game 3: Thursday, April 20th at 7:00 pm on TNT in San Francisco
Game 4: Sunday, April 23rd at 12:30 pm on ABC in San Francisco
Game 5: Wednesday, April 26th (TBD) in Sacramento
Game 6: Friday, April 28th (TBD) in San Francisco
Game 7: Sunday, April 30th (TBD) in Sacramento
Saturday’s Game 1 will mark not only the first time in 17 years that the Kings have been in the playoffs, but also the first time in 21 years that they have had a primetime game on ABC.
The Kings also announced several free fan playoff activities, including the opening of “the Kings Playoff Playground” at Ali Youssefi Square on April 14th. Fans can participate in several activities including making custom cheer cards and taking photos with the old 6th man statue that used to be out front of ARCO. Select playoff merchandise will also be available for sale.
Ticket prices for Sacramento’s home games are through the roof, but the Kings are also going to be hosting free watch parties at the arena for the away games as well.
I might miss a good chunk of this first round. I can watch games 1 & 2, but on the 18th I’m flying out for a solo trip to England and don’t return until 4/29. Here’s hoping I can watch a second round series when I come back!!!

There’s lots of ways to watch over in the UK. There are regular UK Kings fans who do so. They can tell you how to do so legally (and less so for that matter) I’m sure.
It’s more so I’m just probably gonna be too busy with other things while I’m there to watch the games. Don’t think the timezones work out unless it’s happening at like 12:30pm Pacific time. But we’ll see.
I didn’t type that part out, but yeah I’m assuming the games coming on when you’re sleeping is an issue!
It sounds like you should be able to watch Game 4.
This is all inconsequential, since the Dubs will surrender after three games.

Since I’m not getting my Beam Team jersey until at least after the first two games, if the Kings win games 1-2, should I not wear the jersey for subsequent games?
If the Kings lose games 1-2, and then I wear the Jersey and they start winning, is the jersey delay responsible for the early losses?
What if they split? Jersey/no jersey?
Will my Bogdan Bogdonovic jersey be sufficient to secure a win? Or should I go to a T-shirt from the 2000 era?
This whole thing has gotten so stressful.

Well, I’m a slightly overweight hairy middle-aged guy but also a Bills fan. Turn the air conditioning on full blast inside G1C and set up some folding tables in DOCO Plaza and sure, I’ll go shirtless.
Dang it, I have dinner plans on the 20th. Going to miss the first half or so of that one. I will be there for 1, 2, 5 & 7 though – not taking even the slightest chance of some Warriors fan buying my seats.
Will there be viewing parties? I’m so excited for these games and want to get wild with my peeps!
