The Kings extended the win streak to 7 by defeating the Chicago Bulls. Full recap to follow but for now let’s see those gifs!

At least there’s one good thing in 2025!
LIGHT IT.
Today is awesome. Also, I may be very drunk.
Sorry about your table
LOL. Congrats, you Bills mafioso.
Thanks! Next week is the real test – the Bills vs. Derrick Henry has never been a favorable matchup but I have hope
I was cringing when Huerter marked LaVine and the Bulls just cleared to the other side of the floor for Zach to work.
Bills were bullish
Bulls were bearish
I like how much this helps me feel better about myself, lol.
SEVEN IN A ROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BACK OVER .500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can we make this Seven of (at least) Nine?

Feeling Bullish AF Dance! Kings win!
Bulls held scoreless in the last 2:28.
This is becoming a theme, and might be becoming a major part of the difference with DC at the helm.
If you can keep yourself close night in and night out, you’re going to win a lot of games if you can get 3-4 critical stops when it matters most.
Yeah, I don’t believe much in flipping the switch but somehow Doug has them digging in defensively when it matters. Impressive.
They’re playing like Doug played. We’re not the biggest, fastest, or most athletic team but he has them playing scrappy and all balls
There is something to them playing harder but A LOT of it is doug just playing better defensive players more. Brown was an idiot with playing time
McDermott, Crowder and C. Jones weren’t the answer?
And having Devin Carter available helps!
That 5 seconds violation was awesome. Loved it.
Josh Giddey trying to inbound the ball:

You win bro!!!
It was Malik’s defensive positioning and orientation, facing away from the sideline. Too far from the inbounder to successfully throw the ball of Malik’s back, and Malik’s very subtle step to the left to clog the passing lane to the cutter, that froze the inbounder from passing the ball, causing the violation. Beautifully timed by Malik.
That is a great win vs a Bulls team that was trying to win their 5th straight home game.
Agreed, and particularly after this morning listening to SA from the Athletic shred the Kings top to bottom on CD’s 1140 show last week after they had won 5 games in a row.
So many lead changes, Lavine playing out of his mind until Keon locked him up. Never had more than a 5 point lead. I think he missed his last 3 shots. Good stuff Kings. Keep this up and we give up our pick to ATL and I’m OK with that.
Keon to Lavine down the stretch:

Kings fans 1/12/25:
Another potential coulda, shoulda lost game – listless play, down double digits. Then they put the Christie clamps and close it out. Amazing. LTB.
Now if my second favorite NFL the Reds….errr…Commanders can get a win in TB, the day is complete.
Same but number one team in my book for all sports
We moved to Maryland in ‘72 and stayed for 3 years before moving to Maine. Became Redskins fans then. I was 9 when the Dolphins beat them in SB VII 14-7. Still remember that game. My parents had SKINS and SKINS1 license plates. I still have them on my garage wall.
Who is this team and what is happening? I know I shouldn’t get too excited because we can’t have nice things but if Doug ends up being our Kerr that would be great.
Keep It Simple Stupid seems to be a huge factor in the turnaround.
Call me crazy…very crazy…imagine this version of LaVine with the Kings…Monk and Ellis off the bench. Would be loaded. No more Huerter getting minutes. I know it might be a stretch to go that route. A role player or two would probably be more ideal. But….I wouldn’t be furious. For the right cost.
I don’t think there is any way for the Kins to acquire LaVine and his $43M dollar contract without selling the farm. The Kings would then have 3 very expensive contracts in Fox, Sabonis, and LaVine and would be a poor man’s PHX Suns in terms of flexibility going forward.
I don’t think LaVine would help this team. It’s quadrupling down on the same type of guard.
Totally agree. I just didn’t want to get into the fit issue because the math issue takes precedent.
Today was exhibit A for why I want nothing to do with Lavine. Huge stats but doesn’t contribute to wins. Tunnel vision, coming up empty down the stretch.
LaVine looks good. I agree. No way Monk is going back to the bench though. He is in full starter mode.
will get updated to .875 win percentage for DC – greatest of all time!
It wasn’t the prettiest win, but hell, 7 in a row is damn impressive.
I think most of us could agree that for most of the game, the defense wasn’t as good as it has been for the past few games. Maybe it was the early start, the Bulls offense, or just lack of focus, but I truly feel it’s because Keon didn’t get the minutes he needs for this team to really excel. I’m gonna keep screaming it from the rafters that he needs 30 minutes a night. Tonight he got 20.
Put me in the camp that feels when this team needs stops, you don’t have Fox, DDR, and Monk on the floor together. Keon needs to be in for one of those 3.
If you want defense those three above could be subbed in by Ellis Murray and Carter. Now try to score. Just kidding but fun to speculate.
At the very least let’s not sub in Huerter to “put a bigger player” on the likes of Lavine!
My only rotation nit to pick is that I would have given Ellis 5 of Monk’s 37 minutes.
That’s fair. I feel down the stretch is when you need those stops. Keon was slowing down LaVine through the mid-late 4th, but then Christie went back to his starters for the final few minutes, which I thought could have been a mistake. Thankfully, it worked out well.
Every game/matchup is different, but the Kings weren’t having trouble scoring, but they were having trouble getting stops.
It was raining 3’s all night except the last 3 minutes. It’s like they didn’t listen to Kayte’s keys to the game.
Domantas Sabonis is a treat. 8th in shots taken between the two teams, 3rd in scoring, while being the game’s leading rebounder and assist man. Special player.
A very special player.
The consistency is something we’ve been spoiled with. Truly happy he’s on the team.
yes, but I want Hali ! (lol)
For those who wanted at least a 2-1 road trip, you got it. The next game is gettable too, but will require a better than 1-13 three-pt scoring effort from Monk and Lyles.
This game had a lot of head shakin’, oh no-ing, grab that – oh you lost it, don’t drive down the lane, they missed a kick ball, they missed a foul call –
but dammit (we deserve it) they won that sucker.
And hats off to the Bulls, especially the formerly walking dead Lonzo, and out again LaVine who shot lights out!. Until they didn’t (thank goodness)
As JaVale has said -LTMFB
Can’t wait for 8!
Seven?
7 Deadly Wins!
From the Pitt of despair to feeling like a Freeman.
G Winneth for a 7th straight time- by heading off another one in the (s) loth column
We keep playing like this, I think we win the title.
And by “like this” I mean being winning all the games.
Good win
Still undefeated in 2025!
Good stuff Kangz, if we can get up to the 4 or 5 seed I will be truly excited. Otherwise chances are pretty low we’ll get out of 1st round. I want us to win a playoff series, anything less is just not that impressive to me.
Lol! Post game showed a Bulls team reunion photo with Brad Miller in the back row rocking a Sacramento sweatshirt!
That’s what I’m talking about

Sacramento Kings. Kick’n ass and taking names. Light that thing.
We don’t win that game without Fox. Welcome back.
7 in a row is crazy. For the first time in a long time, I actually expect them to win. The opponent doesn’t even matter. Special shout out to DC. He’s doing a great job bringing this team together. We look tough. There is nothing soft about this team. Still waiting on a move from Monte, but man I am enjoying the ride.
Go Kings.
I still expect them to lose. Call it PTSD of the last 2 decades. I am so much happier when they exceed my expectations. But LFG!!!
Proof that the only ones that can beat us are ourselves
This is a lot more fun than the first 31 games
