All aboard the Devin Carter bandwagon!
That’s how long my Dad’s hair was in the 70s.
Sacramullet.
This game went from the Kosta Koufos GIF to this one
Great team effort!! Just enjoy this while we can!
Amazing what can happen when you practice what you preach and play players who bring it defensively!
Just shows that defense not only wins games but it is also exciting.
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Wag Dance! Kings Win!
The Cavaliers got Kangz’d.
Sacramento without Domas, Lavine and LaRavia beating the team with the best record in the League, Cleveland and during a waning gibbous (not quite full) moon is kinda Erie.

This just made my day. lol.
Couldn’t handle the Kangziness!
That third quarter lineup featuring Keegan, Keon, and Devin was flying around defensively. Alot of fun to watch. More of that please.
Devin Carter might be a guy. His effort is absurd, his defense is good and tonight he showed that maybe he can play offense.
Monk and DDR stole the show at the end but really this game belonged to Devin, Keon and Trey.
I can see him being a Jose Alvarado guy off the bench at this point. Hopefully he can become more.
I’ve been on the Devin Carter train since the start. If you looked at his numbers in college, he started somewhat slowly and made very steady progress in every facet of his game for three years. Clearly, he needed a training camp.
He absolutely stuffed the stat line in his handful of games in Stockton. At this point, if Christie plays at least three of Carter, LaRavia, Keon, and Murray together, teams are getting shut down on the perimeter. He’s out of control at times because the game hasn’t slowed down for him yet. But I believe that guy is going to be a beast.
It doesn’t really matter the combo of which two plus keon are on the floor between monk/ddr/lavine, it just can’t be those three
Agreed, and just about every stat backs that up.
Let’s Wally Pip LaVine to the bench for Keon!
100% that has been my mantra lately. I never want to see that trio on the court together. I will now add another one; if they are all available, between Keegan, Keon, Carter and Laravia I think any 2 of those 4 should always be on the floor.
Be fun to play those 4 and Domas. Work together to get the ball up the court. Run the offense thru Domas. Cuts, screens, hand-offs, kickouts!
Force TOs and run
Whatever their youth and errors, they are fun to watch!
If there is effort and intensity I can live with some mistakes. Seeing supposed ‘stars’ ball watch and quit on plays is a no go for me.
Oof, -6.0 NetRtg. It’s fine if Doug wants to start them for a few minutes and ride it if it’s good, be my guest. But he needs to break that trio up quickly if it goes south. That’s a proven losing combo already.
Interestingly, LaVine seems to be the problem. If you look at other 3 man lineups with DeRozan, you’ll see a whole bunch of positive net ratings. But Lavine seems to have very few. My eye test says that now that the bench has some legit defense, LaVine works better with them and helps boost the offense.
The most fun I have had at a Kings game all season long!!! Despite the refs trying their hardest to give the game to the Cavs.
It was crazy for a minute. Monk getting dogpiled and no whistle.
I thought the game was pretty well called overall. They did let ’em play a bit, but I think that may have worked to our advantage.
The Carter foul on Mitchell with 2 min left really pissed me off.
Light the Beam!
Watching the highlight recaps… that top view actually made me nauseous. Like my brain was buzzing and feeling light headed. That was gross
Yeah, I hate that stuff. Nauseous for me too. I also hate when they cut to the player that scored the bucket every time so we miss the live game on the off chance we might see some hand gestures.
Just use the standard camera for all live shots. Do whatever you want with additional cameras, but only use them during clock stoppages.
I did like putting the shot clock on the floor at the FT line. Should do that all the time.
I will say the Kings’ broadcast score/time info box is the best I’ve seen. Has all the info I want. I find it really annoying watching the national broadcasts that don’t show the number of fouls for each team.
All the discussion about the TV feed made me glad to be there in person. Admittedly I gave up when down 20-7 with about 2 minutes left in the 1st.
This team….
Props to Devin Carter.
That was an entertaining 3 quarters of basketball to watch while sitting on my couch.
I didn’t really get to watch that other quarter due to Fantage Point.
Kings played hard, got some steals, and even out rebounded the Cavs. Hell, they beat them in almost every main statistical category except FG% (3pt made, free throws, assists, rebounds, Offensive rebounds, steals, turnovers).
Maybe it was the Fantage Point view in the 2nd qtr that got the Cavs discombobulated, and they never fully recoveredx—home court adFantage!
Hobby and JMan,
To both of your points – Kings scored 76 points in the second half again the Cavs. Who knew?
The rebounding edge by the Kings was impressive considering the size of the lineup the Kings put on the floor for most of that half, and late, late in the 4th when they won the game.
Mobely is one impressive talent.
Their defense kept the 1st quarter close. Normally the poor defense would have created a huge deficit, especially when the offense was bad.
Mobley is finally growing into his body. He’s going to be a serious problem for a long time
From the end of the 3rd through more than several minutes in the 4th he scored 15 straight points for the Cavs and was a beast on D. Anthony Edwards or no, Mobley is one impressive player. What are his weaknesses?
The NBA has spent decades perfecting the side camera angle and zooms, then the Kings had the notion that they could do it new and better.
Hmmm, I wonder who had the camera angle 3.0 idea?
OT: Damn, $6.1 billion. Remember when the Kings were sold for a record $534 million back in the day?
Quick, send this to Vivek!
Best win of the season ! Somewhat tarnished by goofy camera angles and broadcast teams constant babbling over action .
I’ve really had doubts about Devin C, but maybe I was wrong. They energy was always there, but last night I saw some skills to go with it. And even a couple of made threes.
yes – the moon ball 3 pointer is something. I can’t recall, is that Louie Dampier? George McGinnis (one handed jumper as well)?
That’s why they had that camera angle! It was the only way to watch Carter shoot threes.
Moon-ball 3-pointer lol! High-archer Carter, his game is hilarious to me. He’s unique for sure. Still not sure about size but he has some skills and intangibles and can be fun to watch, sneaky hops too.
George Mcginnis! Fantastic pull.
Devin is also an excellent rebounder, not unimportant.
As we all expected!
Maybe they are finally getting what it takes to win in this league? No letdown tonight please.
This. Beating the Cavs then losing to the Bulls would be the Kangzy back to back in some time.
We’ll see what happens. Both the Kings and the Bulls are playing a B2B and their 3rd game in 4 nights. Except the Bulls are the traveling team this time around. If we get LaVine and LaRavia back tonight, at least they won’t be tired.
Hopefully we don’t allow Kevin Huerter to drop 30 points on record breaking shooting percentage.
