Take that, Texas.
That one felt good.
And the beam turns the Rockets red glare purple!
Ride’em Rocket Cowboy
Dreaded this game beforehand but loved the effort after the technicals. If they had even 80% of that intensity all the time, they’d be so much better.
Facts.
Well, wasn’t expecting that.
Isaac Jones for Rookie of the Year!
Really fun game. The team showed a lot of resilience after things got heated in the 2nd quarter. The Rockets looked like the young inexperienced team they are. We won this game with ball movement and by not getting blown away at the three point line. Malik’s playmaking in the starting lineup really opened things up for Domas and kept the offense flowing. I guess I can put my pitchfork back in the closet for a night.
Unexpected and fun night!
great win! we only need one thing to get this season in full gear
What is the one thing?
It was great seeing this team play physically and with effort.
go streaking
I like the plan.
The word “physical” actually came out of Fox’s mouth. I never knew he understood that part of the game existed. Major breakthrough.
Huerter found a shot and Keegan hit double digits. Everyone else held to their averages. Magical math for a win.
I don’t know what team you’ve been watching but Fox’s defense has been quite physical for more than a year now. He didn’t suddenly become physical overnight.
I watch the Kings. Who do you watch?
The guy who averages less than three fouls a game while playing 38 minutes a game is physical?
Some surprises:
Keegan 3/5, Ke’von 3-7 for 6/12 from the 2 who arencounted on to 3ball.
Malik Monk starter – 12 assists, 4/8 from 3
Domas with 27 points – 7 rebounds. No double double! Was 1/4 from FT line and you could see him practicing free throws during the Udoka meltdown.
Rebounding: Houston 53 Sac 34 (21 diff!)
Assists: Sac 33 Hou: 14 (21 diff!)
Isaac Jones. he’s a rookie.
Alex Len, Doug McDermott, Jordan McLaughlin, Colby Jones play two minutes and couldn’t score one frikkin’ point in 1:52 minutes. Not one. (Gave up 6).
Keon Ellis, DNP-CD. (Injured?)
42 point 3rd Q – not 1st Q. I know that makes someone in this community happy.
Tari Eason 16 points, 12 boards. I know that makes someone else in this community happy.
Monk, Huerter, Ellis.
Same depth chart but now Monk starts. Huerter was hot so he stayed on the floor.
But took 15 shots.
And then tried to go into the stands after getting heckled by a fan after the game.
Nice win.
Maybe Fox can go into Jimmy Connors mode and play hard every game?
Let’s see if Mr. Pena from the Ringer has prophetic powers.
Hopefully this is the turnaround game and they play up to their potential the rest of the season. I have a lot of bad memories from last year when I hoped that one of their nice wins was going to the the turnaround game, but they very soon reverted to their old ways. Let’s make it for real this time!
Every win this year so far has been the turnaround game! Maybe 10th time’s the charm?
I really need for the team to play with a chip on their shoulders every night. Teams think we’re soft. We showed no back down tonight and it resulted in a win. Somebody from the other team does some dumb shit, you turn around and let them know about it.
Good feisty win by the Kings. Very impressed.
Hopefully beating a good physical team at home will lead to something . Love Monk as a starter and his ability to playmake
Nice and surprising win tonight. The king’s definitely benefited from a friendly and favorable whistle. It’s nice to see that once in a while.
Isaac Jones continues to impress. He just always seems to be doing stuff whenever he’s out on the court. You can feel his physicality and athleticism on a team missing both. Hopefully they continue to play and develop him.
Houston still shot more FTs than the Kings did. Not sure it was so much a favorable whistle as it was that we just didn’t let the fouls get under our skin like the Rockets did.
Kayte commented that when Crowder hit that dude in the face when dude was driving into the paint, Crowder was sending a “don’t come in here” message. More of that.
And Green did not do too much after that.
Isaac will struggle to get minutes once Lyles comes back because MB has his preferred rotations.
Assists!!
I been preaching monk makes sabonis better and fox better. Looking forward to this starting line up.
