Kings win! Light the Beam and send those gifs!
Full recap to follow.
Can we create a site poll to figure out who is currently hated more? Maloofs or Ranadive? At this point, it’s improper to cheer for a win with the state of this franchise. I am almost wanting them to move so I can actually find a franchise worth rooting for. Lifelong fan since 87.
They don’t need to move for you to find a different team to root for. There is no contractual obligation for anyone to be a fan of the Kings.
I oblige by the rules of a sports fan that I cannot pick another team unless my team moves. I have bled these Kings colors for years.
This.
Yeah i was born in OK so i would be a happy camper right now if they kings would of relocated…i was ready to jump on the okc wagon…alas
I was actually a year or two away from eventually moving up to seattle when the here we stay stuff was going on. I was heart broken then but so happy they stayed in the end but now with hindsight being what it is all these years later…
The sonics have genuine fans from what I’ve encountered who got screwed out of a team. I think it was Balmer at the time? Lots of 420 so forgive the memories but that Sonics franchise with him up there would have been something good in my opinion. Hope they still get their team back soon.
But at least we get to enjoy the purple flames of this dumpster fire franchise
It was hard to believe/take that the Magoofs tried to move the team ….but they did have years of success. Ran franchise well until money issues.
With Vivek, we’ve gotten completely fucked with zero success. The worst run franchise, arguably, during his tenure. . He’s the worst.
The maloofs at least seemed to try early on. Money issues were their true downfall in Sac in my opinion. We should also all not forget if we weren’t screwed theres a very good chance the they bring a chip to the city which may have done well for them financially.
Vivek on the other hand kind of got a huge steal on the team shortly before the valuations of professional sports exploded. Whether the team is good or bad, it’s a money printing machine for all involved now. With that, vivek has been as cheap as possible for an owner, while hiring tons of unqualified people to roles most of the fans would probably be better at.
I think the maloofs liked being a big fish in a small pond in Sac and actually made competent moves until they faltered financially. They of course tried to sell/move the team so there’s always that but overall, in the modern era, give me the magoofs 10/10 times
“McNair earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Princeton University in 2006. While attending college, McNair was a wide receiver on the football team.”
Well, I hate to break the news to ya, but I might be the General Manager of the Sacramento Kings one day. All you need is a computer science degree and a football background, but hey at least I won’t draft combo guards and point guards every draft.
The Land mine sweeper dance ! Kangz Win!!
What a game! Playoffs here we come. Bring on OKC!
This team is so bipolar
This. How can you go from shitting the bed against Washington to beating Cleveland (not once but twice).
It makes no sense. I’m as confused as anyone, but I’ll never understand rooting for my team to lose. Hopefully this is the version of our team that shows up when the postseason arrives.
If they were completely hapless I could get on board with tanking but this team isn’t that – there’s enough talent here for making the playoffs, though definitely not enough to truly contend for a chip.
I’m totally on board with the Sharks tank job, for instance, but hopefully this is the last year of that.
At least the game was entertaining.
This was the Kings team we thought we would have all season long.
hopefully this is the last win of the year for us
I’m not sure if I’m more mad at the Kings for being dumb enough to win this game or the Cavs for losing to the Kings twice and costing this team a lottery pick. I suppose it’s still the Kings because my hatred for this aimless franchise is eternal and the my hatred for the Cavs is only temporary.
⚡️????⚡️????
darn, poop emojis failed me
I guess lightning struck your poop emojis!
&ct=g
That shit is gone!
Thank you for trying to have my back.
Why be a 60 win team when you can beat one twice instead but otherwise suck? Kangzy!
Fools gold win.
Stockton Kings > Sac Kangs
Here’s my take. I love hoops, played from age 10 to age 60. Watch the game religiously. No other sport does it for me, either to play or watch. Regarding the Kings/Kangz, if they lose out and keep the draft pick, that’ll be fine. If they win and make the play in, I’ll watch and root for them. I’ll practice non attachment to the drama. I am a Pgh, PA native, and since the ABA won a championship and then moved 50 years ago, it is just plain not a hoops town. Hence I get to root for who I want. I lived in WA in the 90’s and rooted for the Sonics, with the Glove and the Rain Man. I moved to NorCal in 1999 and got to experience the best Kings years. I was pissed when the Sonics moved to OKC. I also objected to relocating the Kings to Seattle. I am glad they are here. I wish ownership and management were better. At least the players they have had in the past few years are of high character. They are what they are, firmly mediocre. Oh well. I’ll keep watching them and keep attending TKH, as the best online sports community in the universe!
My position and thoughts exactly . Big fan of TKH and fan of Kings .
Nice win
If by nice you mean- unwanted, unneeded, counterproductive and anti team building or development for the future -then yes, nice win
The Suns are such a mess right now that there’s basically no way the Kings miss the play-in regardless of tonight’s result. They’re making the play-in and will be playing the Mavs either in Sac or in Dallas. Any other option was just wishcasting.
Western Teams 5-8 with the exact same records, 78 games into the 82!
That is amazing!
Like watching the playoffs early!
Playoff positioning made better by the Play-in. Then you add the 9-11 cluster fark and at least the games still have meaning.
I would have preferred we had lost these last two in the hope that we’ll blow it up, but now we may as well try to get that first play-in game at home.
Good win! I don’t understand rooting for a loss. I hope we win out, win 2 play-in games and meet OKC. Then I’ll be cheering like hell and hoping we get lucky as hell and pull off the upset. Go Kings!
