When was the last time we beat the Pellies?

The team played down to the level of the competition tonight unfortunately. Three of the Pelicans scored more than 20 against us. Fortunately the Pelicans bench was just as bad as our bench. Nobody on the bench stepped in and changed the game in any way for either team.
As a team we had more rebounds, assists, steals, and points off of turnovers. We had fewer turnovers. All of these stats can and did offset the horrible shooting. Team basketball and taking care of the ball by valuing each possession will win these trash games.
Glad we came out with a win against a team that we definitely should beat. Frustrated that this organization sets the standard based on whoever is standing front of them at the moment.
We just barely closed out the Pelicans
There it is. My favorite take of a .500 team.
They tried really hard to lose after controlling the entire second half but they didn’t so that’s good!
I mentioned in the game thread that they went 27-29 from the line tonight and won by two points. So finally missing free throws didn’t come back to bite them.
DeRozan went 5 for 5 to start the 3rd quarter and a couple free throws for a quick 13 points. that’s pretty good, right?
He kept us in it to give us the opportunity to win. He is a special player.
and what was Domas’ final stat line? I can’t seem to find the box score.
32 pt/20 reb for Double Double Domas
Just my opinion: despite another poor shooting night (10/33 or 30.3% 3FG)
it was the free throws that won the game.
Kings 27/29 for 93.1%. Kings miss only two and that was in te first half. Sac made all of their FT in the second half
.Back at .500.
Kings Win! Pelican Perch Dance!

Keegan is now shooting 37.9% from 3 in December.
He did well tonight.
Fox, DeRozan, Sabonis, and Keegan accounted for a little over 87% of all Kings points tonight. I’ll cut Monk a break because he’s been awesome. KH, Keon, Colby, ORob, and even Isaac are simply not cutting it as reliable bench depth.
Monk had that game winning deflection in the closing seconds too.
Keon made winning plays. Huerter just needs to hit his shots. Colby played decent defense, and was actually playing tight D on McCollum when he drained those two threes in the 2nd quarter.
I can acknowledge the positive moments while also believing that it’s still not good enough.
Fox, Monk and Huerter were off tonight.
Colby Jones is not an NBA player.
Technically, he is.
Happy they won but this team is so erratic I just can’t believe in them.
This game definitely didn’t inspire any confidence. They still look disjoint, look like poor shooters, and not really like a playoff contender.
A win is a win, I will take it.
Does not look great considering the NOP record, missing players and the Kings coming off 3 days rest. All I can hope is NOP is just a bad matchup and the Kings actually are getting better.
I’m going to look on the bright side and be happy with the win. Back to .500. Let’s get a little run going.
Kings played 1 possession better than the Pelicans. Baby steps! Go Kings!
If there are moral victories, are there such things things as moral losses?
I just hope that Monte and the crew does not believe that this recent stretch against mostly bad / injured teams is a decent sample size of the “real” Kings, because this Kings team is still not even firmly in almost-sure playoff territory.
Content with the win, but can’t believe how close they got to losing this one. Abysmal shot selection in the final minute.
Last two shot attempts:
Double Clutch!
P.S. How do you make these gifs?
Thanks.
Yeah these were horrific shots, egads.
The Pacific Division is wild!
In every other division, the team at the bottom is at LEAST 11.5 games behind. The Kings are at the bottom of the Pacific, and only TWO games back of being the leader.
I suspect this parity will continue for a good portion of the season. Expecting a roller-coaster next couple of months!
And the Pacific Division leader is 0-3 so far. Here’s to the Warriors remaining winless!
The schedule gods have certainly helped us overcome our recent difficulties. Well, that and finally starting Malik Monk.
On the short list of things I can count on with this team is playing to level of competition, we pretty much play close games with whoever we play. 3 games coming against Fake Show, hopefully we can get at least 2. #SacVsEveryReferee
Poor coaching the last five minutes of the game as the Kings executed horrible clock management and shooting threes when they only needed two to stay ahead. Would like to see the coaches go ballistic once in a while and not be so passive at the end of the game when the lead is on the line like it was last night. stoked for the Kings win, but we would have been talking about how this was a complete shit show how they lost.
