The shadow of the bridge on the court is very distracting.
It’s not as bad as Stan Van Gundy.
The Kings are absolutely garbage. We’re getting blown out tonight.
3 pt barraged
Gs has made 6 more 3s than Sac, and their up by 18
I’m not getting the game on hulu
Anyone else assed-out?
I’m getting it vis TNT on Hulu+.
I don’t remember ever needing to do that before, but I went to TNT live, and it worked. My hero, Rob. Thanks!
You may curse me by the time it’s done.
I literally laughed out loud. Thanks.
TNT.
Fun spelled backward is nuf, and I’ve seen just about nuf of this backward team.
I was told in our threads the Kings don’t have a talent problem.
The defensive scheme all season has been, seemingly, to leave opponents open from 3, above all else. It’s so bad, and no adjustments have been made.
The problem is the talent mix, not-so-much the talent pool.
“What fans don’t understand is…”
“The team’s record under Doug Christie is…”
“They haven’t had a full training camp together…”
“They haven’t played a full season together…”
“They haven’t played a full season together when everyone is healthy…”
“They haven’t played a full season together when everyone is healthy after Monte bought his lucky purple parka vest…”
Open 3s for the opponent, imagine that.
Sac doesn’t seem to have anyone to guard Post. Strange match-up.
Instead of Net Rating, Kings have Nut Rating. As in, how many times can we make our fans feel like they’ve been kicked in the nuts?
LOL. About 37 times.
Does it hurt more without pants?
ASS%
Net Rotting perfect 100
As badly as they started, they’re not out of this game.
Y’all are crazy. Van Gundy is great.
Is Viwreck and VD at the game?
GS is shooting 65% from 3
“I don’t like their defense. They’re just daring open guys to shoot.” -SVG on Kings’ defense. That pretty much sums up the Kings’ defense.
A week ago they were playing so hard, It feels like something broke psychologically. Did something happen? Did the players see S Amick’s article, and wonder why bother?
Or was it Kawhi?
I’m pretty sure, Jake isn’t going to three point shoot us back into this game.
This looks like the type of game that gets someone fired if they don’t turn it around.
Drive, kick to the right corner for an open 3. Rinse and repeat.
Midway through the 2nd, and GS already has 36 from behind the arc.
Dubs constantly have some new random player that is contributing and running their systems to perfection. Kings keep same mid players forever and have zero execution. Two completely opposite franchises.
I really hate how Van Gundy wraps up the point he’s making before the next shot. So frustrating.
He can learn a thing or two from Kayte.
She would be glad share her thoughts.
Whelp, off to bed!
Somebody go wake up Hamlet!
kangz basketball is back!
This is downright fugly
Didn’t ever bother to check the score on nba.com (stopped actually watching the games a while back). Just came here to see the posts to get a sense of how things were going and I guess they’re going as expected.
I am crazy to think they could get back into this?
Yes.
We got a ball game
I can’t believe the Kings are within 10.
It helped that the warriors were trying to force the ball to Curry and started turning it over
Dubs have 4x as many free throws than Kings. At game and should at most have twice as many but come on.
Chuckster cmon say it!!!
Barkley didn’t guarantee it so we may have a chance
Lmao the commentary is so excited when the Warriors hit shots and so muted when the Kings start rallying
Do the Kings give up the most open threes in the league or what?
Based on what I have seen, I would think so. Pretty sure the stat is out there to be found.
Monk has been terrible. What’s going on
Injury, adjusting to new role and new teammates and new coaches all on the fly. Is perhaps actively beefing with a close friend who left him in Sacramento and is questioning his entire future. Maybe something like that.
He is showing that he is replaceable. Always been a streaky shooter, poor defender, and has some stretches of solid playmaking.
Lavine absolutely quits on plays all the time and I hate that about him
Like watching DMC, but at least DMC was viscerally pouting or arguing with the ref! LaVine does the same thing but with zero showmanship.
This Jake of Laravia kid is not bad
He’ll be gone soon.
Levine has been useless tonight too
5 shots isn’t enough for him. 4-5, made 3-3 three point shots. He has to be more assertive.
Wow made all 3s. Didn’t even notice since GS made so many lol
I really hate his game. But he’s the dream of Vivek. He loves low IQ super athletic no defensive effort players. Literally watching him stand in the low block on defense and just point at a teammate every time they score on him is exhausting.
loved seeing Jake get frustrated on him making no effort to help defend that cut by Draymond.
Gaudy counting stats helps.
Kings had a cute few minutes of run there and got it to a 6 point deficit. But the Warriors have been keeping the game to about a 9-13 pt lead for a while. Too many turnovers from the Kings, and too many wide freaking open 3s for the Warriors.
Sad that the Kings haven’t really been fun to watch for even small stretches for the last two seasons. They’re leaving guy open on every possession.
Butler hardly breaking a sweat
No ball movement, no player movement on offense, dribble, dribble dribble, iso…slow offense. Boring losing basketball.
Monk’s guy just casually left the corner and went all the way to the other side of the court, and Monk had no clue. He was guarding empty space while Butler made an entry pass to Green for an easy bucket.
So frustrating… that’s been the Kings’ defense all night.
No franchise movement, drivel, drivel, drivel. Boring losing owner.
Empty the bench Doug.
Nik Stauskas….Stauskas…Stauskas.
Lol
Washington Generals vs. the Warriors.
God I wish they would just burn this shit down. Watching them play against a team with high IQ and just maximum effort on all levels from all 5 guys on the court is galling.
Vivek would likely still sell a lot of tickets too.
Santos is better than Murray.
If Murray had been on the Warriors, he would be so much better. Kings have not done a good job developing him, imo.
Totally agree, he was and still has a lot of scoring potential but hey he wants to play d so we took the ball out of his hands to make him a no 3 and d player and got some 3 and no d guys for 10x what he makes
The Vivek anchor brings everyone down.
JFC Doug, you waited long enough to wave the flag.
Dunks, after dunks, after dunks…
Let’s go Stockton Kings
I’ve never been a huge fan of Zach LaVine, but it doesn’t seem like a great idea to have 6 other guys take more shots when LaVine has 14 points on 6 field goal attempts.
And he wasnt even really involved in the offense. I forgot he was on the court most of the game.
This is the catch 22 with him I had flagged from day 1. He’s a very talented scorer, but we also have a lot of talented scorers.
He also doesn’t play defense or create for others well. So he’s sort of a rich man’s version of Buddy Hield.
When he is the centerpiece and he has one of his scotching hot nights, he can carry you and his elite level scoring can outweigh his negatives. But if he’s off or if you run offense through other players and he’s sitting on the perimeter, then his negatives quickly outweigh the more limited offensive value he is giving to you.
Obviously he shot efficiently tonight, but his defense was atrocious and he had 4 assists and 4 turnovers. Single game +/- is wonky, but there are few worlds where being a -34 is a good night, especially when playing on a team with talent.
Right now we are sort of the island of misfit toys. We really need a more cohesive strategy and much better fit (on top of overall talent).
Playoff Jimmy and Curry combine for 17. Kings get obliterated.
Comically bad.
The best part. Kings get 2 more years of Curry and Jimmy.
Monte, How is that Chicago reunion feeling? Better yet. That 50 million albatross called Lavine. lol!!!!
