Seeing a lot of coaches lower the mask, including a Kings fan favorite who now coaches in Denver. Also seeing coaches remove the mask completely in the huddle. Give it a break.
They’re all doing it wrong, and dangerously. They have a public responsibility, as public figures, to wear a mask the way it needs to be worn to be effective. Another brilliant player evaluation by Vlade. God I can’t wait for McNair to completely purge this roster of nearly every Vlade contribution and just start fresh. Expecting to see guys like Bjelica and CoJo shipped out for whatever they can get….and then perhaps one of Buddy or Barnes.
But they cant get anything for those guys. They aren’t worth their contracts, not even close. With the exception of Bjelica.
Who cares? Trade them for scrap metal. Addition by subtraction. More fuel for the tank and more playing time for the young players who need it and will value it.

Poor ball movement leading to poor shot selections and resulting in poor efficiency. Kings have fallen back into iso basketball. Everyone’s trying to be a superstar and none of them have IT.
Bagley is going to need to play if he's going to get better. Kings need to figure out what they have in him and have been frank that this season isn't about the playoffs, but evaluation and planning for the next 1-3 years. Barnes looks like he'll fetch a pick and finally escape basketball hell, as he plainly doesn't belong here. Who knows what Buddy will be worth by they time the Kings have accepted his bargain basement value and decided to trade him. CoJo and Bjelly will be gone next year too, one way or the other. This is the team I signed up for this year, though the first four games were nice. But on the bright side - the rookie looks real, real good. And Fox looks like he may not yet be a All NBA guard, but certainly All-Star level. That's a good sign for this mini rebuild.The fact we get to enjoy a couple sweet wins that we have no business winning is just a fun part of the journey. Hell - Kyle Guy and Chimezie Metu are fun! And we're still yet to get a real taste of Jeffries, Woodard, and Ramsey who may come into play down the line. The Kings are who we thought they were. It will be up to Monte to put the right pieces in place down the line. So watching them get blown out this year is gonna suck, but remember it's what you signed up for. We're Kings fans, and passionately watching eternal mediocrity and celebrating every slightly-better-than-expected moment is what keeps that dim, flicker of hope alive in this abysmal franchise. Agreed, but Gerald Wallace was the same, and he developed enough skill to be a productive player, though it did take him until season four. I think Wallace had a much higher BBIQ than Bagley does though.

It is miserable being a Kings fan. Basketball gods finally smiled on them for once having them jump to 2 and they botched it and set the franchise back another handful of years at least.

Bagley hasn’t come close to playing as well as Bowie. Bowie wasn’t a bust, but he wasn’t Jordan and his career was cut short by injuries.

Lost in the Bagley horror is the fact that Fox remains an erratic shooter from the perimeter, too erratic for PG with his contract.
He absolutely needs to learn the angles and use the backboard more. So many times he breaks down the defense, only to clang it off the back of the rim. Use that backboard when you’re moving at the rim that fast!
He’s been Fox or Famine his whole career.

I know it is still early in the season but from what I saw during the first 7 games, Kings are really worse with Bagley on the floor. He kills the momentum (Rockets games and 1st qtr dubs game), yeah he’s athletic and jumps high but his bball IQ is low compared to other players. Hope we can take a look with other guys (Metu, Parker, etc.) or have Bjelica start again and Bagley come of the bench. Maybe playing with Hali in the 2nd unit will benefit him. Or worst case we trade him.

Bagley is just painful to watch, he’s a step slow on every play and it leaves him constantly out of position. Every play. His ceiling is end-of-the-bench backup big, more likely he will be out of the league in 2-3 years.
The Bagley pick at #2 will go down as one of the worst picks in league history, right there with Greg Oden and LaRue Martin.

We need a bucket getter. Lou Will type. I’m actually really happy with Fox’s stats. Every team is locking in on him and he’s still putting up 20. If we had another scorer that defense had to respect, and fox got some easier buckets, he’d be in 25-27 ppg range.
