This is a new squad, but I have often felt better about a game when they go into halftime down instead of up. If they’re down, maybe they’ll come out with some energy in the 2nd half. If they’re up, I just know they’ll come out and casually let off the gas.
Carter is a difference maker defensively

Offense has devolved to one of Monk, DeRozan or Lavine dribbling around the perimeter and jacking up shots. No plays, no ball movement.
When your best looks of a half are step back 3 pointers, prob not a good offensive half.
The offense hasn’t been good, but the defense even worse.

Last play of the 1/2 Kings gave up a dunk that was, luckily, a bit late, letting NY outrun them up the floor, because they were trying to guard the ball instead of the guy with the ball.
they aren’t showing very many replays. Is that because of the cheap production in Sac?
Usually they show too many replays and it cuts in to the love action.
Maybe they want this shit show to be over quicker

If I thought Kings would do the right thing in off season and try to actually build a contender, I’d have hope.
They are playing trashketball with mismatched parts refusing to utilize the skills they have (run O through Sabs), all while the problem (their incompetent owner) sits courtside admiring the shit he’s failed to build with one of the worst GMs the nba has seen.

In multiple transactions, Monte just traded Fox and spare parts for three quality players, Jake, JV, and Zach. How is that bad?
If doug can’t save himself by doing the right thing with the starters then monte needs to force his hand and trade either monk or demar.
monk NEEDS to come off the bench
Monk could be traded in the offseason. But that would make the bench even weaker.
Best trade chips are to move Sabonis and whatever you can get for Murray.
Kings aren’t getting a quality starter for Demar at 36 yrs old. League knows he’s a ball stopper. A rotation player or 2, ok.
A Pg like Simons makes sense. He’s still young enough where there is a possibility he can improve a little more.
A complete tear down won’t happen. League is laughing at the Lavine contract.

I have a feeling that if the Kings get bounced in the play-in, Monte probably won’t be the GM any longer.
