I’m worried about this one. Too many key players out, Fox coming off a career night and likely to regress to the mean and playing against a team that is struggling. Multiple players other than Fox need to step up in a big way if we’re going to pull this one off.
Fox remains white hot. Defense is booty cheeks by the Kings right now giving up too many buckets at the rim. Lack of depth has been a massive issue for this team all year and they can’t hide it tonight with all the injuries. Need Huerter and Keegan to especially step up offensively to give them a shot at winning this one
Brown sending a message to Keon by going to Mason Jones over him this quarter? Keon keeps refusing to pull the trigger when he gets open shot opportunities which hurts the offense
Keegan STILL being passive in a game without Domas/Derozan/Monk. Just cannot happen if this team is gonna win tonight. That was a terrible possession by him to pass up that middy after dropping his guy
All in all this has been a highly impressive showing by the Kings offense incorporating a ton of guys that just don’t get many, if any minutes together. Fox hitting damn near everything helps a ton too lol
At least he’s not hesitating and realizes that they need him taking more shots tonight to have any hope of pulling this off. Keegan just standing in the corner and passing the ball off after one or 2 dribbles for much of the game has been disappointing to watch
Just an absolutely bad look for Keegan tonight. Missing so much of their offense and he still spending the entire game being passive and a non factor offensively. Not looking for his shot, playing hot potato with the ball the moment he touches it.
Hilariously, McDermott has never shot less than 40% from three in a season across his career, and he’s in the low 30s this season. FWIW, McDermott is one guy I don’t worry about for the one job he has to do. He’ll get there. The rest of the team beyond the top four guys has some combination of a lack of talent and/or consistency and/or mental toughness. This roster needed changes two seasons ago that just haven’t been accomplished.
Good that they got that win. You can’t have a guy scoring 50 points per game and be dropping games because your (unchanged) supporting cast is so awful.
I was wrong in the game thread. Nate Archibald had 91 points in two games and he did that twice. Demarcus had the Kings record at 104 points and DeAaron owns the record now with 109.

I highly expect the Kings to lose this game. I don’t want them too, I just worry the Kings ain’t gonna have it.
“If I had that speed, I’d be pitching a tent in the paint. It’s the money shot.”

Maybe not the best line she has ever said, lol.
Mason Jones and JMac in before Keon.
Robinson, Mason Jones, j-mac, Keegan, huerter lineup…interesting
Orlando Robinson sighting! Excited to see him play!
Filling up the stat sheet already

Fox on pace for 60 in regulation
I’ve seen enough. Robinson>Len
He’s active, which is nice. Has some offense too.
Might have found something with O-Rob!
Fox has scored 78 points the last 5.5 quarters. Sheesh. Dude is really dialed in right now and just hitting a ton of high level shots
Imprinting.
Nice hard foul by Len.
I thought got ball first, but apparently not.
Keegan with 12 minutes and almost nothing on the stat sheet, passing up a free throw line jumper. Yeesh.
Keegan STILL being passive in a game without Domas/Derozan/Monk. Just cannot happen if this team is gonna win tonight. That was a terrible possession by him to pass up that middy after dropping his guy
Wow, I didn’t previously know I. Jones’s story about his journey to the NBA.
Yeah, that’s an awesome story.
It’s special.
All in all this has been a highly impressive showing by the Kings offense incorporating a ton of guys that just don’t get many, if any minutes together. Fox hitting damn near everything helps a ton too lol
Gifting the Jazz some late ass calls tonight.
Sigh, ending the quarter poorly. 12 point lead evaporated
It’s only halfway over!
Fox is cookin, but he needs some help offensively. It feels like when he’s in, everyone is too scared to shoot or make a play.
I want Keegan to attempt no less than 10 FGA in the second half.
2nd half needs are of course better defense and Keegan has to contribute more on offense. If those don’t happen I don’t know if they’ll hold on
Keegans offensive development pushes him to a non significant player, and that hurts the team
Too many fouls and allowing Utah to get into the paint far too easily too often
get physical with Flip
the small ball lineup ain’t gonna cut it
Two more points and I think Fox ties Nate The Skate’s two game scoring record.
Keon is not there tonight. just handing the ball over to the Jazz.
Get ORob in game shape, and it looks like he could really contribute something.
Keon’s not looking so hot tonight.
Jordan McLaughlin does not look like an NBA player 50% of the time he’s on the floor.
Kevin Huerter’s failure to shoot jump shots with consistent form is so freaking frustrating.
At least he’s not hesitating and realizes that they need him taking more shots tonight to have any hope of pulling this off. Keegan just standing in the corner and passing the ball off after one or 2 dribbles for much of the game has been disappointing to watch
Agreed.

I’ve said for a long time Keegan’s ceiling is Harrison Barnes, and that may have been overestimating him.
Not a bad comp. I know the scouting report on him was he wasn’t a high ceiling guy but could be a high-end role player.
Fox just got those fingers re-injured.
mcdermott is a piece of garbage when we needed solidity

Kayte just said the Jazz “are in a rebuild.” What is that?
defense remains bad
Mason Jones sucks, Ellis sucks, maybe we should try Cobly Jones
Wow, another really late call. Collins was already getting up off the floor when the whistle was called.
Why is Huerter coming to help vs Clarkson when Keegan already had good positioning on him. Left Sexton wide open for the 3
Damn I thought that last Huerter 3 was going in
I didn’t, based on the way he cocked his hands before he let go. The shot before that, yes.
MB is an idiot! Play Keon he can shoot! Keeg and Kevin can’t hit crap. And Keon is a better defender
Huerter’s shooting numbers are good.
gunning 2 threes in a row and missing both nah, Keon a better defender too. So sick of Huerter he’s more trash than good
But he can rebound.
Keegan with as many points as he has fouls this game.
He just looks lost, after he fouled Lauri , and sent him to the line.
He lacks of confidence
Kayte letting Keegan off for playing bad because he had to defend Lauri. Alrighty then.
Yeah, that’s a ridiculous take,
Big shot by J-Mac !!!!!!
Clearly a foul. Grabbing Fox entire forearm
Glad we still had the challenge to call
How did the refs my miss that? Lol. Omfg Kayte is so annoying. “I love the fans but what they need to understand is that Fox is so fast.”
I been saying all year J-Mac can play, MB finally giving him some run. Way too many minutes for Huerter as usual, play Keon
She says she’s speechless but..
2/2 on absolutely massive challenges.
This second challenge is going to fail. Clearly off of JMac’s foot.
Nope. I was wrong!
I also thought it’s off J-Mac, as the replay shown
Would have brought Keon in for this defensive possession
OMG man….Fox missing 3 FT’s in this final minute. Never easy for this team
Brick. Kayte coming up for excuses for a missed free throw. Come on dude.
Advance the ball Kings. Use the TO
Lol Clarkson. That was an awful attempt at forcing a brick. Now get the ball inbounds and for gods sake MAKE YOUR FT’s
The Fox Free Throw Rule enforced.
Why does Kayte go into this tunnel vision mode where she thinks she needs to educate viewers about every single freaking thing that happens.
All-time stuff from Fox these past 2 nights.
Finally….
Thanks J-Mac for that big shot
Sexton just got a short talk to by the ref. He got in all of their faces and was yelling at them with 7 secs left on the clock.
Keegan did not have anything even close to a decent game.
5 games in 7 nights for the Kings. This is a good win though ugly in that 3rd quarter.
Good that they got that win. You can’t have a guy scoring 50 points per game and be dropping games because your (unchanged) supporting cast is so awful.
Take your medicine.
