It’s crazy to think that fans just don’t show up for the Grizzlies.
Not sure how real it is but the “buy tickets” blurb next to the schedule says “starting at $4.00”
Insane.
I hear the arena is in a not so safe neighborhood, so that might be part of the reason.
Only took two years for MB to put Monk as a starter. Better late than never.
Domas is dominating the way he needs to be. They don’t have an answer for him on the inside. Idek if Edey would have slowed him down.
Not a great couple minutes at the end of the 1st.
JMac, Huerter, Keegan, Crowder, I. Jones isn’t too effective.
No creators, undersized, minimal shooting, not really sure what Brown was thinking.
Keegan and Jones as the 4-5 was really working last game. I’d swap out Crowder for Ellis. Don’t know what happened for him to get on MB’s shitlist.
Ball movement leading to corner 3s. When did the coaching staff figure out how to run a modern NBA offense?
Ja may be the bounciest athlete I’ve ever seen. Every movement he makes looks like he’s resisting involuntarily and suddenly lurching in a direction that even he doesn’t expect.
Turned it on late to see nothing but jacking of threes and turnovers.
That 12 point lead went away pretty quickly before the half.
Fox needs to play better
Yeah, he really turned off there towards the half. He needs to find a way to make himself mad and focused.
He looks bad. Disengaged.
after missing the three at the end of the half, Fox got burnt for a fast break bucket
I don’t even care what the result of this game is at this point. How is it that we’re 20+ games in and every single three opposing teams take continue to be wide open. This has been the team’s biggest flaw all season and somehow some way players find a way to be 10 feet away from every three point shot
Aggravating to see each game.
What’s wild, too, is you don’t see anything like this when you watch a lot of other NBA teams. Totally bizzare.
Fox passes up two mid-range shots in one possession to start the third. What the heck?
Very uninspiring basketball in this 3rd quarter. No energy.
at a time when we all need to go streaking
Monk on that bad 3pt crap again tonight. 0-7
after the timeout, the Kings came out worse
Kings are scared to shoot
And of the blocked shot threat of…Jay Huff?
Fox is 4-14 from the field and 0-7 from three. That’s absolutely terrible. And his answer is more threes.
Someone needs to start talking shit to him. Maybe his own teammates can call him out.
That actually might not be a bad idea!
3 not falling you are in the penalty…do you attack the rim. No keep chucking
they need DeRozan out there
Fox not showing up tonight….yet
let’s go Kings – the fan base NEEDS to go streaking!
62 3PTA after 3Q, what a world we’re living in.
Only lost the third quarter by one point. That is an epic improvement.
Crowder is a shell of his old self athletically but he has the competitive toughness and refuses to lose.
Kings in a good position to win this game. D-Roz, Sabonis, and Monk getting a long huff while Fox singlehandedly terrorizes Memphis.
I guess Fox just doesn’t get paid to pass out of one-on-threes.
Huerter having his second consecutive good game. Hopefully he has it back.
You gotta be trolling, right?
Why are you trolling me for saying something positive about a player having a good game?
Get over it.
I guess we have a different idea of what a good game is.
Have a nice night.
It is a good night when we win.
feed the bucket-getter
Holy crap, just looked at the box score and Fox, Huerter, and Murray are a combined 1/20 (5%!) from 3. How in the world are they still in this game?
Yep. Not any good but still hanging in.
IJ mugged by Jackson then stands there with hand in the air and called for a foul. Unbelievable
A very simple level of defense would be pretty cool right now.
Oh damn, Ja Morant is gone.
Ja going to the locker room for his piece.
Drink spit laughing on this one
You paying one of his crew to pirate the game?
This is a good development
This game has grounded to a halt.
Grizzlies throw back night.
good challenge
Freaking blind zebras
Clutch time. Let’s see what Fox and DeRozan can do tonight.
Floaters and turnaround middies, most miss.
Hopefully Derozan is the one with the ball.
I know Mark and Kayte are annoying, but damn Memphis has the most emotionless commentators I’ve ever heard
Kings need to send Kayte to the Mark Jones School of Colloqiualisms
Do the Kings have grit?
That is hard.
No.
Jay Huff runs by both Monk AND Fox for the fast break bucket . wooowwww
Soft
Oh no return of the Kangz
This game is such a stark contrast to the Rockets game. This team is fool’s gold.
Feed Derozan
He’s also missed a lot of his usual midrange shots
Fox is about to hero us out of a win.
This is when we need a point guard not circus shots.
Mark Jones is calling every shot a “tear drop”.
Grizz with 57-15 advantage in bench points.
Everyone was so slow to that rebound wtf
Man, I love DeRozan but i’m getting pretty tired of how much he bogs down the offense
Don’t know if they’ll win this game but, man, they don’t deserve to.
Need this win to split the back to back. Spurs are going to embarrass us if we play defense like this again.
Kings can’t follow an emotional win with another win
They can’t follow a win with a win. Period.
that’s the biggest problem with this Fox-led team. They get too content after a win, not hungry, then they play sloppy, then act surprised when behind in the 4th and then get desperate.
Occasionally commentary pops up about how meaningless the regular season is and tonight seems to support that.
The regular season is always meaningless for the Kings.
Sabonis gets pushed into Smart by JJJ, loose ball foul on Sabonis.
Hello last 2 minute report
Terrible play by DDR
Yeah he should have taken the shot at that point.
or back it out. He also shot the Kings out of that game
Like he does in the postseason.
Hmmm, I wonder why Domas flew over Smart.
Oh boy, now you gotta make a three for OT.
Kings get f’ed by the refs so often it depressing.
The ghost of DeMarcus passed
Demar just refuses to pass to wide open 3 point shooters
His ISO’s have been driving me crazy.
That trade should be Monte’s final nail.
Down by 3 with the worst 3 pt shooting team in the nba lol
Such a garbage decision by DeRozan
I love it when they call carrying.
Monk for 3?
Jesus, not even close.
That was the best ATO play MB had?
He was going for the Eric Mussleman three man weave.
Makes me wonder if Jordi was basically coaching this team the past 2 years. This is basically the same team and the scheme is terrible
This team is unserious.
Should have had Fox shoot the three so he could be perfect and go 0-8.
I thought this team was average and I was wrong.
Nope, this is a mid-lottery team. You can’t win in the NBA when you only have 4 players who are above average.
What a waste of time.
As usual. Just like tomorrow.
McNair could have improved the team in either of these last two offseasons, instead he opted not to.
Once I saw the Kings were down by 3 with 14 seconds left I knew it was hopeless.
23% 3 pt shooting
Sluggish all night. Maybe too much Memphis style BBQ before the game.
This team only shows effort once every 3 games or so. They just did it on Tuesday, so we won’t see it again until Sunday.
Because he’s not.
The game after Fox talked after the game about meeting the Rockets’ intensity and toughness he lays an egg. Typical Fox.
It seemed like the entire team had no energy.
talk talk talk
Mike Brown called him out publicly to challenge himself finally too
60 bench points for the Grizzlies? Good god
Our bench rotation consists mainly of two guys who weren’t even drafted and Kevin Huerter. It’s no surprise that they get worked.
Memphis is good. The Kings are not.
They need to sell, but the catch-22 is that Monte has shown he isn’t a GM that can maximize a trade.
At least Mike Brown finally publicly challenged him to challenge himself
That 6 minute stretch with kevin heurter in the 3rd lost us the lead.
The guy kept chucking 3’s, most of them wide open and the guy cant hit anything.
He and keegan are the reason opponents can load down in the paint. They dont open things up because well, our shooters cant make no damn shots.
Our wins come with keegan atleast making 1-2 3’s and huerter making atleast 1. Thats 9 points lost in games we lose by 3-5 points.
I really wonder how training staff works with players in serious funks from distance.
Do they even make kevin and keegan do any shooting drills? At this point, im seriously questioning the training staffs ability to keep keegan and kev motivated to get out of their shooting slump.
Mark Jones said Keegan made 108 threes during pregame shootaround
As soon as kev was subbed in, they immediately went at him and he gave up a layup just by being lost on defense.
That one other play and he just bumps the guy with the ball because he cant keep up laterally on that drive.
The guy is so bad. He has no outside shot, and he cant play no damn defense.
no assists no win
