DeRozan is 3-13, Huerter is 1-6, and the Kings down 2 at half. Need both of them in the 2nd half to produce.
Seemed like a bit too much of DeRozan going iso on Horford in the second quarter
Seeing a kid drain a 3 at the halftime show, while watching Huerter clank 5 of them in this game…
Games against the top competition is when the Kings need Huerter the most. He fails to show up every time. His minutes need replaced through a trade. Whether a backup C or wing player, the Kings could be in business with an upgrade or two.
He seems to fall deeper into the depths each week, to the point where he’s less than useless now – he’s a real detriment.
Exasperated when Fox is out because the rotation is shorter.
34 points in the first Q, only 19 in the second. Heurter and DDR seem to be trying to shoot us out of this.
Hopefully KH sits out 4th if he’s not doing anything in 3rd

3pt shooting abandoned us after the first quarter. We started off hot and have cooled down drastically. At least the C’s aren’t shooting well from 3 either. Interestingly the center on each team has their team’s highest 3pt percentage.
Keep valuing the ball, pushing the pace, rotating well on defense.

He’s been slumping ever since 2023 all star 3 point contest. We all want him to be successful because the Kings would be successful. If the Kings end up using a 1st and Huerter to get some kind of back up wing player. They would essentially use 2 first for that player lol

They looked very smooth as a team all four quarters even when the Celtics made their runs and the Kings theirs. Really a great all around complimentary basketball game on both Offense and Defense.
One tipping point was the Rook hitting two triples and a drive to the basket around Tatum at the buzzer for a two.
DC rewarded him by leaving him in the game for a lot of 4th quarter crunch time.
Great thinking by Doug, help build the confidence and see how he handled a high pressure situation against a damn good team.

How long has it been since seeing this smooth of a game in terms of playing with confidence. DC. Jeebus.
They looked like they had the game in control from the start. Rare moments of being flustered. It was nice to see.

One last note. With about 3:50 or so left in the game Carter goes down low on the shot, boxes out the Celtics wing and snags a big rebound. If the C rebound there and score the momentum may have shifted. However, on the other hand the Kings had this game in control the whole way as you noted.

TBH I was just hoping for a hard fought game regardless of outcome. Didn’t see a 17 point win. Boston was sleepwalking in the 4th.Domas beast on the boards DDR controlled the end game, Carter and Murray hitting big 3s.
Boston looked flat, and then discouraged as the Kings kept pushing the pace and showed to be relentless.
The quest back to .500 was much shorter than expected. Light the Beam!!!!
Now let’s get over .500 next!!!!
