With 33.3% of the vote, Killian Hayes is off the board. He joins Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman and Deni Avdija.
When a choice comes up, pick who you’d want the Kings to pick given all the players remaining. Note: THIS IS NOT A MOCK DRAFT. This is a draft board, a ranked list of prospects you’d like to see the Kings pick. In other words, if we were the Kings front office, when our pick came up, we’d take the top name left on our board. So pick your choice, not who you think Monte McNair or anyone else would choose in a slot.
Explain your choice in the comments, and lobby for who should be added to the next pick’s choices.
To answer a question I saw in yesterday’s comments: yes, if you refresh after you submit you will see the poll again. However that’s why I ask for a username, to potentially weed out double dippers. Sure that’s not going to stop someone from typing a bunch of random usernames to try to swing the vote, but it helps. I can also see when people voted on my side too.
In regard to about how many votes we’ve been getting, the first poll (which was open through the weekend) had about 150, while these last few have been in the 80s. Obviously this is a lot smaller than when we had them back at StR in recent years, but everything starts somewhere!
The slightly older version of Hayes!
Halliburton. Going with another playmaker who can work on/off ball and seems to have a knack for making good basketball plays.
Haliburton for the nth time!
Haliburton; has the logistical knowledge and experience to start a war, as well as the resources and political clout.
Haliburton, again.
“Haliburton? Go on…”

Are people voting for best player in general, or best for the Kings? Do I keep voting other, till I see one that makes a difference for the Kings? None so far will make the team improve in the short season schedule. Trading might?
I’m voting for players with zero consideration to roster fit, as I have my doubts that anyone on this roster will be a part of the next Kings playoff team (maybe Fox?).
I have zero interest in trading the pick for some sort of incremental improvement this season – I think that the team is currently a bottom three team in the West this season, and no trade for the 12 will vault them into playoff contention.
Toppin the mornin’ to ya’!
McNair: Keep using the telephone to unload Buddy the albatross.
Obi Toppin – voted for him all the way from 2. Has arguably (alongside Edwards) has the most complete offensive game in the draft. Has a good 3 point shot, slashing and post skills. Across 2 years he shot 41.7% from the 3. This is everything we need in a PF to complement Bagley. Naismith Player of the Year, First Team All-American.
…Or we could just draft a skinny 1-way guard in Haliburton who shoots the 3 a couple % better than Toppin.
Well that seems like a level-headed, fair-minded comparison of Toppin and Haliburton. I’m sold.
Vassell – Seems like the perfect 3&D wing that regardless of fit will be an asset to every team in the NBA.
