The Sacramento Kings will be playing five games this preseason according to today’s schedule announcement.
Kings preseason starts on Sunday, October 8th as Sacramento is set to take on the Toronto Raptors in Vancouver, Canada as part of the NBA Canada Series. The Kings will then head back to California for the remainder of the preseason, starting with a trip to Anaheim to play the Lakers on October 11th. The Kings then head home for their first home game on October 15th, taking on the Warriors, before they then head to San Francisco for a rematch on the 18th. Finally, they finish up the preseason the next night (a back to back in Preseason? Really?) against Utah.
The October 15th game against the Warriors will be the only game broadcast on NBC Sports California, but all preseason games will be streamed on Kings.com. The full preseason schedule is as follows:
- Oct. 8th at the Toronto Raptors in Vancouver (5 p.m. Pacific)
- Oct. 11th at the L.A. Lakers in Anaheim (7 p.m. Pacific)
- Oct. 15th vs. the Golden State Warriors in Sacramento (6 p.m. Pacific)
- Oct. 18th at the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco (7 p.m. Pacific)
- Oct. 19th vs. the Utah Jazz in Sacramento (7 p.m. Pacific)
The Kings are also currently holding a contest for fans to win a pair of tickets to Opening Night by guessing the opening night opponent.
If they don’t go 5-0, it’s time to blow it up.
Better yet, try a Reverse Humpty. Blow it up before the first game, and then if they go 5-0, try to put it back together.
Your way is better.
The NBA is playing a preseason game in Vancouver, huh? Are the also scheduling one in Seattle, too?
Shit. I have to wait 2 months before the Next Kings game?!?! It was better not knowing
I guessed the Clippers for my submission in the “guess the opening night opponent” contest.
If tradition holds, the Kings will be in Texas.
I could’ve swore the kings start with the Blazers a good chunk of the time
That also sounds right.
90% of the time, the Kings play an opponent they played in the preseason for their first game.
If the NBA were smart, it would be the Warriors.
If the Warriors are smart, they should sign Harry Giles!
I believe 2-3 yrs from now, Giles’ NBA journey will be one of the greatest comeback stories ever.
Why wouldn’t the Kings want to give Giles a look. He might be better than any three we have now.
That picture at the top looks like it’s ripe for a caption contest.
Foxey looks like he’s considering an arm bar
