Walk back from the light: Kevin Johnson's big announcement is apparently not about any arena news.

The Kings have won two straight games on the road. The trip has one more game, and a victory would be pure gravy.

One week from today, the Kings will host the Miami Heat. Mayor Kevin Johnson tweeted on Friday about a special announcement. HMMMM.

Cousins has been playing like a different player since coming back from suspension and its bringing more success to both himself and to the team. Tonight was another example as he dominated the Raptors en route to a 31 point, 20 rebound performance.

The Kings won their second straight road game, thanks in part to a huge third quarter run. DeMarcus Cousins had a monster performance with 31 points and 20 rebounds.

Sam Amick reports that the Kings have affirmed their stance that Cousins is untouchable, but are willing to listen to offers for anyone else on the roster.

The Kings face the Raptors on Friday, hoping to make it two straight on the road.

The Bee reports that Will Sessoms has set a deadline of Monday for Comcast-Spectacor to sign a lease with an anchor tenant, widely believed to be the Sacramento Kings.

Comcast-Spectacor and the Maloofs are reportedly negotiating a term sheet for a lease agreement in Virginia Beach. If that deal is done this week, Virginia Beach will move ahead with asking very nicely for some money from the state of Virginia.

Sacramento used its advantage inside to edge a shorthanded Cavaliers team for their second road win. DeMarcus Cousins had another good game with 18 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists and the Kings outscored the Cavs in the paint 52 to 36.

Both teams had trouble shooting from outside but the Kings were able to take advantage inside on their way to 52 points in the paint. With Anderson Varejao out, the Cavaliers struggled to find answers for DeMarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson. Francisco Garcia also shined in the victory with some key defensive plays late.

Word is Geoff Petrie will not lead the Kings' front office beyond this season. I understand you are skeptical of the Maloofs' ability to hire well, but let's try to replace Petrie anyway.

The Pistons' Charlie Villanueva was fined $25,000 for his elbow on the Kings' Isaiah Thomas Tuesday night. Two Kings have been suspended this season for reckless swings.

The second opinion on Tyreke Evans' knee confirmed the Kings diagnosis and rehabilition plan, per a team announcement. Tyreke will rejoin the team, and is expected to play next week.

The Kings lost a close one in Detroit on Tuesday, but have an easier opponent on Wednesday.

Sacramento's road struggles continue on into 2013 as Detroit played much more consistently throughout. Austin Daye hit a dagger three pointer with 11 seconds left to seal the deal.

The Kings comeback in the fourth quarter comes up short due to some poor decisions and a big Austin Daye three pointer down the stretch. DeMarcus Cousins had another good game in the loss.
