The Kings schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season is finally here. You can view the full schedule here but here are the highlights:
- The Kings open up the season on October 21st on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers. They also end the season on the road against the Clippers on April 11th.
- The Kings home opener is on Friday, October 23rd against the Portland Trail Blazers.
- 5 of the Kings first 7 games come on the road, but November is by far the most home heavy month of the season with the Kings playing 11 of their 14 games at home.
- The Kings have just two nationally televised games all season: January 12th against the Warriors on NBC and January 25th against the Nuggets on Peacock, both on the road.
- Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox come to Sacramento on Friday, November 6th and Monday, November 23rd.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo and the new look Miami Heat come to Sacramento on Sunday, November 8th.
- LeBron James comes to Sacramento for potentially the last time on Tuesday, December 29th.
- The defending champion New York Knicks come to Sacramento on Friday, January 8th.
- The Kings have 14 back to backs, but only 3 of them through the end of 2026. The month of January alone has 5.
- The Warriors don’t come to Sacramento until later on in the season, March 10th and April 4th.
- The Kings home finale is April 9th against Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks.
As we previously covered, the Kings also have five pre-season games, starting October 5th against the Los Angeles Lakers.

I found this interesting. The most 3 games in 4 nights sets. Kings have 3rd most in the league at 25. Philly has the least at just 16. Hmmmm.
Remember the league has eliminated the 4 games in 5 night sets, but I do find the difference in 3 games in 4 nights from Pels at the top with 27 and Philly at the bottom with 16 quite remarkable. That’s a significant gap and advantage to the teams at the bottom of the list. Especially when you consider the most back to backs is 16 and the fewest is 13.

It’s good to be the King James
So you’re saying the league is trying to screw the Lakers? Good.
I count 57 losses.
yeah, same ballpark for me…I was thinking 54
just have to avoid relegation.
Why do people call it relegation? It’s nothing like relegation.
Maybe because there is a perceived punishment for finishing bottom 3? I get what relegation is, in terms of European football leagues, but since it doesn’t exists in the traditional sense here in the States, is there a better term to use?
Bottom 3?
Or, because Americans can’t be bothered with full names anymore and are also too lazy to invent nick names, so they just use initials and numbers; “B3”?
We need a Jerryism for the bottom 3.
The Terrible Trifecta
The Triple Dipple
The Strikeouts
The Loathsome Threesome
The Frio Trio
The Bad Triad
We 3 Kangz
The Kangzton Trio.
Three Doug Night
The Three Fuck-me-gos
Golden 1 Cellar.
The 3 Musk of Tears.
yes it is not true “relegation” as in the Premier league but that is the name being used.
Bottom 2 is fine with me- we all get the point. Don’t finish bottom 3.
Losers
Why would the Clippers do this? Two deal with PO for the second?

Gives them time to find their next Aspiration?
It just seems like a strange signing when they have Garland, Dunn, drafted Wagler, still have Mathurin in RFA, and are still trying to finalize the trade for Ingram and DIck. Are they still planning to roll with Brook Lopez as their staring center? Just seems so unbalanced.
Clips seem to have a fascination with stars who are no longer what they used to be and are oft injured.
Schroder’s label of being a journeyman continues.

LOL, Schroder’s quest to play for all 30 teams continues. By my count, this will be his 12 team.
Ish Smith’s record of 13 is there for the taking!
BBRef
Remember when DS turned down $84 mill from the lakers lmao.
This will be my first season in 13 years not having season tickets. I’ll follow them at home. At least the write up didn’t mention any tough streaks of games. They will all be tough.
FIFY…
Vivek is shooting for 83, he loves himself a good play-in loss.
