The Stockton Kings, G-League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, defeated the Canton Charge 115-110 on the road to earn a playoff berth.

The Kings, 28-18 overall, are fourth in the Western Conference and second in the Pacific Division.

Led by point guard Cody Demps scoring 23 points and two-way player Troy Williams adding 22, the Kings used strong second and third quarters to prevail over Canton. Stockton has four games remaining on their schedule.

Wenyen Gabriel, the second two-way player on the roster, was inactive for this game.

This is the first season where the Kings’ G-League team has been in Stockton as they qualify for a playoff spot for the second straight season. When they were the Reno Bighorns last season, they made it to the Conference Finals but lost to the South Bay Lakers.

The earliest possible start to the G-League playoffs is March 26, 2019 so for anyone interested in watching a form of the Kings in the playoffs, click here.
