Forbes has released it’s annual rankings of NBA team values, and lists the valuation of the Sacramento Kings at $1.575 billion. This valuation makes the Kings the 15th most valuable franchise in the NBA. The valuation marks another increase for the Kings, up from $1.375 billion last year.
Vivek Ranadive’s ownership group purchased the Kings for $534 million in May of 2013. Since that time Kings ownership has followed through on their promise to build a state-of-the-art arena and the on court product is the best it’s been in over a decade. Kings ownership has been rewarded by seeing the value of their investment increase by over $1 billion in just under 6 years.
In related news, Zing Vodka hasn’t been active on social media since 2016 and appears to only be sold in select locations in Las Vegas. OMG phone cases appears to have gone inactive in 2013. Never Hungover rebranded as Never Too Hungover and then rebranded again as DrinkAde and appears to be still in business but mostly only available on Amazon. The Palms hotel was sold in 2016 for $313 million. Prior to sale the Maloofs ownership stake had been reduced to 2% as part of a debt agreement after missing loan payments in 2010.
