The 11-9 Sacramento Kings are roughly a quarter of the way through the 2022-23 NBA season, and Jerry Reynolds, Will Griffith, and Tony Xypteras returned to The Kings Herald Show to discuss how the Beam Team is doing.
Topics include Tyrese Haliburton’s return to Sacramento, Mike Brown and his rotation, Keegan Murray’s rookie struggles, De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, the emergence of Malik Monk, defensive woes, offensive wins, and a whole lot more. Thanks for listening!

ABOUT. GODDAMN. TIME.
I read your comment in Lizzo’s voice.
♫ It’s about damn time! ♫

I thought it was a nice observation by Jerry about your outstanding posts . Thought you and Hessing make great points that are well thought thru .
What an awesome shoutout! Makes me feel better about spending so much time reading your comments… even Jerry does it! Thanks for sharing your insights
Pretty crazy that we’re already 1/4 of the season complete. Let’s hope this team can continue to hover at or a little above .500 as we get further into the schedule.
When it comes to Jerry I’m with him 99% of the time. He knows basketball.
Why does it sound like someone is crumpling up an empty bag of chips every time Jerry talks? Is it the bag of chips we got in return for Haliburton?
Other than that, great pod.
Those are Jerry’s knees as he shifts in his chair.
Or they are the chains of the ghost of Grant Napear.
What are his pants made of, tissue paper?
Maybe you could introduce him to the art of going pants-less.
So Grant made a cameo?

Tony likes to eat during pods.
Chipotle offers chips along with your meal.
Please don’t chew
Let me fix that for you –
Tide pods?
Dems da ones..
So you’re saying that the tide is turning for the Kings?
If Sabonis is a bag of chips does that make Hali a bag of ruffles ?
At this point Hali is a stale Cheeto.
Hmm, just a little suggestion, but maybe in the future if there are eating sounds during the recording, is there a way to mute mics if it’s being recorded via Zoom?
It’s not actually eating sounds
Ya know, the past week or so I was wondering if Fox was mildly ill or getting over something and it looks like my instincts were right:
Is it related to Lyles’s illness?
I’m surprised a whole team can’t get wiped out from an illness since they are so close to each other so often, and hi-fiving after free-throws and whatnot.
Would not shock me.
I’m far from a professional athlete but I track my fitness basically 24-7 with my Garmin and when I’m sick, no matter how mild, it’s a huge performance impact. Seeing Fox being about 75% of his normal self definitely tracks with a guy who is getting over a virus.
1/4 of the way through the season and the Kings are in the 6 seed trending to 45 wins. Their schedule has been about average strength so far and they are trending positively since their 0-4 start and two games stolen by the refs. This is exciting.
