Sacramento Kings Preseason Review and Vivek Ranadivé’s Roast | The Kings Herald Show

If the regular season is anything like the preseason, this could be a rough year for basketball in Sacramento.

The Kings Herald Show returns with Jerry Reynolds, Will Griffith, and Tony Xypteras to review the first week of Sacramento Kings preseason basketball, and share some thoughts on Vivek Ranadivé’s roast. This episode was recorded before the Trail Blazers game, and somehow more relevant now than it was at the time of recording due to how few rotation players we saw on Tuesday night. Yikes.

I’m with Jerry. College football conferences are totally jacked up, and Sac State never should’ve moved divisions. Build the arena and earn some success first.

It completely got by me that Monk hasn’t played a minute yet. Has there been an injury update because I can’t find anything on him. It seems everyone else how has missed time has had a defined injury, but Monk…crickets. Weird.

I heard an “ankle” injury. Which I don’t believe to be fully true. I think he and the organization have an issue, so they are not playing him.

I read a rumor that he came into camp completely out of shape and that they want him to get in decent shape first. Not sure if true.

First time caller here. Perhaps folks should relax. The Kings have a clear plan under Mr. Ranadivé. Now the Kings can finally play the four on five concept that is clearly a new innovation ahead of its time. Shoot, why stop
there? Three on Five is the new idea. Vivek will make it happen, you just need to have some faith Kings Nation. Vivek=innovation.

Agree on your views on Karaban, that he’s a good 5th man to have on a good team in that he does all the little things but is totally reliant on his teammates to shine.

He’s the exact opposite of what the Kings should have drafted. They need to go for a very young kid with high upside. preferably tall.

Karaban will wither away here.

Thanks, Perry.
