Kings rookie forward Keegan Murray could miss the team’s season opener on Wednesday as he continues to recover in the league’s health and safety protocols. Murray, who first entered the protocols on Friday, did not practice with the team on Monday. Speaking with media after practice, Kings coach Mike Brown said that he likely would not play Murray unless he’d had a chance to practice first with the team.

It’s frustrating that Kings may not get to see the team as full strength to open the season, but it’s hard to argue with Brown’s logic of not being in a rush and risking bringing Keegan back too quickly.
In the clip above, Brown also provided an update on Kevin Huerter, who has been dealing with a sore ankle. Huerter did non-contact drills on Monday, but did not go full contact. His status for the opener is also unknown.
The Kings open their season against the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday.
Get well soon Keegan.

This could Huerter the Kings chances and leave fans wanting Murray from this team to start the season.
Not Kevin Huerter and Huerter!
This is a bummer if they don’t play. I had the Kings starting the first 10 games of this season going 4-6, with a hope of 5-5 with some luck. The beginning of this season is a brutal run. With the potential of losing 2 starting level players on opening night, I fear they may go 3-7 over the first 10. Not good.
Good thing there are 72 more games after those first 10.
The Kings would be in trouble if Domas or Fox were missing the opening games. As of now, missing Huerter and Murray sucks, but is not a death knell — not with so many other quality guys who are looking like they’re already in mid season form.
The most important thing will be beating fellow play-in hopefuls (Portland, LAL). This team absolutely can do that even while missing starters
That’s why there’s such a thing as a ‘next man up’ mentality. Keegan’ll be okay. It’s just a matter of when he clears protocol, not if. Huerter’s ankle is what concerns me more, I hope this isn’t a nagging thing for him.
Hopefully he won’t be a hurter for too long.
Open your eyes!
This is Vegas’ doing. They are afraid of losing money so they sent someone to whack Huerter and sneeze on Keegan.
Kings curse!

I love that movie.
Doh! I already picked them to beat the Blazers on opening night. This team never fails to disappoint.
I’m still taking them over the Blazers as long as Fox and Domas are healthy. The Kings have the better coach and much more depth, and Lillard has not looked like the guy he used to
OT: The Hornets are having a rough go of things this offseason, and this guy should have his license revoked.
Been a rough summer for the bees – Bridges DV, Bouknight DWI, LaMelo hurt, and Hayward’s haircut accident –

(Hayward sits in barber’s chair)
“What’ll it be, Gordon?”
“Something that says….’Egregious’.”
What did he say to the barber to get that haircut? “I f*cked your daughter?!”
At least he won’t be one of those players that loses all his money. You can save a lot of money when you cut your own hair haha
Too bad they didn’t bring in Davion, who has been extremely effective at keeping Bouknight from driving.
That’s gold Jerry, gold!
The blue print to ruin a career. Glad the Kings passed on him.
I’m glad they passed on him, simply because he doesn’t appear to be very good.
They are seriously still doing health and safety protocol?
Honestly! Just because several hundred people are dying from Covid each day?
Total nanny state behavior.
The hope and expectation for 82 and 0 are quickly diminishing…
