30 fouls called on the Kings. Kings FT percentage was 87%. DeMar with the 3 Point conversion And 1 for huge four point play.

15 fouls called on the Heat. Butler missed two late foul shots.

Yeah, F the refs.

13/15!

Every point counted and last season’s 30th team in FT% is Numero Uno presently. From worst to first.

Kings got outscored by 15 from 3pt shots, and 8 from FTs, and they still won the game. That seems impressive to me.

Outscored by 8 from FTs even though Miami missed 9 FT attempts!

That is the shooting percent being high because the Kings offense was efficient in the paint.

Yup. Doesn’t happen a lot in the league lately. They just need to do more of that.

How we won…

Fox let other people have the ball at the end of the game.

Sabonis is a competitor.

For 28 minutes Keon was in the game so for 28 minutes there was one person trying to play defense.

Is that a compliment to Keon?

It is the truth. He is a solid bench player and the only one that plays defense. I always say that Keon is good. If he develops an offensive game he should start. Most players figure that out in the second or third year. Hopefully he does.

Your takes are so weak sometimes, Marvin. We also won because Fox put the team on his back with a stellar third quarter.

And do we always need to speak in such extremes? The entire team is “trying” to play defense. The guy you hate in Keon just does it better than everyone else, which is why it’s inexplicable when Brown doesn’t play him.

Who is Marvin?

When have I ever said that I hate Keon? I have said many times that I like how he plays and what he brings to this team. In fact you just replied to a comment in which I praised him.

Keep the hate to yourself. I am enjoying the basketball season so far.

Marvin Bagley, possibly your first pseudonym here for all I know. I did think that referencing fishing champion Sara Trampe was a clever reference to catfishing / trolling. Kudos to you, King4Ever / Sara Janelle / AnybodyButBagley / MMalone. You reincarnate more than someone seeking nirvana.

Interesting that you come to a basketball forum and worry about all kinds of imaginary people that I have nothing to do with. When you talk about basketball you have some interesting thoughts and opinions. That is fun here.

Interesting that you have the same take from persona to persona but think that nobody can figure out who you are. Honestly, when you’re first pretending that you’re not ABB, your comments aren’t that bad. It’s when you revert to the same old Keon and Fox bashing that you give yourself away.

I actually share some of the concerns that you have about Fox being below an All-NBA type player. I also want to see Keon get a little more assertive on offense, as opposed to being a wallflower. Similarly, I do think that Sabonis is the team’s MVP. But he’s not above reproach. His poor FT shooting last year played a big part in missing the playoffs.

I am open to hearing contrary views on both Fox and Keon. When it gets repetitive, I tune out. Fact is, the Kings don’t win last night without Fox’s nearly-transcendent third quarter but you fully glossed over that fact. And the Kings’ defense has been really good on the whole, even if the 3P defense is bad. Keon is not the only player contributing on that front.

This is an interesting level of personal drama mixed in with a little basketball.

Personal drama? Nope. I just value my time, the most precious commodity one has.

Did you feel like commenting on Fox’s third quarter vis-a-vis your bashing of him? I shifted my focus back to the team with the majority of my comments. Maybe you can do the same.

I have not been talking about basketball?

Fox was minus on the night?

How does his third quarter win this game if he was a minus?

Fox had a hell of a third quarter and smartly gave the ball to others in the final minutes. I don’t think Fox is the leader and distributor this team needs. He is not that guy.

That’s because Fox is not a distributor and never has been. He’s a shooter. Sabonis is the distributor.

Fox took an open shot at the very end of the game that he simply missed. It wasn’t a bad decision at all, it just didn’t go in.

I already said in the other thread that plus/minus is simply a stat to consider, but not definitive. You’re the one arguing that it’s “useless” and then turning around and trying to use it to get some zinger of a point in. Let’s go back to you pretending you’re not the 200th incarnation of AnybodyButBagley. Convince me you’re not that same idiot, why don’t you?

I am an idiot for thinking you might be interested in basketball instead of personal attacks. I have no idea who any of those people are but they clearly are important in your world.

My bad for thinking this could be a decent conversation.

Indeed.

I want to go look at the 2d half pictogram on Kings shots made in the paint. To your point, I think they won both half’s that way. I recall they were + 10 over the Heat in 1st half points in the paint.

As you noted, they won the game in the paint. No doubt about it.

Domas is the best. This man is so good and he never gets his number called and never complains about it.
Other takeaway is that our broadcast team is giant homers.

100% disagree with this comment. Kayte is a homer with purple blinders on. And she was on one tonight! Something set her off and she couldn’t think straight. Mark Jones is colorful, but professional.

Go Kings!

We agree to disagree. But we do agree that as a whole the Kings broadcast team from the pre-game, in game, half time, and post game is horrendous.

Keegan is letting down the franchise with his offensive development.

Fox was great in the third, though lack of clutch play continues. He always comes up when im about done

Keegan is soft. Finesse is fine for role players. He barely creates off dribble, rarely facilitates (1 assist tonight), doesn’t rebound…. I’ll never get the hype with this player.

To Eddie’s point take a gander at Domas’s winning put back and what happened immediately after the bucket in the vid posted by Tero.

Yes, I understand that the Heat were going to call a time out to advance the ball for their last shot at a win. However, look who is instinctively running back on D, not to Domas to congratulate his shot, which is great to see, but to hustle back on defense toward the Heat player running down the side line toward his goal for a potential shot.

As Eddie notes. “A 2-way player, plus defender, shooter, big wing, makes winning plays…”.
