A landscape-shifting NBA trade happened overnight, with the Los Angeles Clippers trading Tobias Harris to the Philadelphia 76ers. The trade includes other players and a multitude of draft picks as well.
Sources: Clippers and Sixers have agreed to trade Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, Mike Scott for Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, 2020 first-rounder, 2021 unprotected 1st via Miami and two second rounders.

This move has major ramifications for the Sacramento Kings. It signals that the Clippers are dropping out of the playoff race to focus on free agency this summer. The Clippers currently sit in the 8th seed in the West, one game ahead of the Kings in the standings.
The Clippers will likely trade additional pieces before the deadline as well. The Kings could target a player like Danilo Gallinari. When healthy, Gallo is a tremendous wing player who could fill a major need for the Kings. He’d be a big risk given his injury history and the fact that he’s missed the last 10 games with back spasms. He’s owed 22.6 million next season.
This move sets up the playoff race to basically be between the Kings and the Los Angeles Lakers (who lost to the Pacers last night by 42 points). Of course, more trades could still happen. The Timberwolves reportedly still want to chase the playoffs, and the Lakers still could pull of an Anthony Davis trade before the deadline.
For the moment though, this is good news. Thank you, Clippers.
