The Sacramento Kings announced that Mike Brown has entered the league’s health and safety protocols and will not coach tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets. Although current guidelines do allow for faster returns, Brown is likely to miss at least another game or two before being able to return to the Kings sideline.
Jordi Fernandez will service as head coach in Brown’s absence.
We hope Coach Brown has no significant symptoms and can recover quickly.
Be well, Coach.
If I may speak for and paraphrase Brown, I don’t like this at all.
Silver lining. Go get em Jordi!

Coach Jordi with Undefeated record. Let’s go
If memory serves, Coach Fernandez led the summer league team and saw great production from Murray. I’m going to be positive and hope some of that rubs off tonight. This will be a tough matchup with Gordon. Into the fryer, rook!
Has he tried drinking a little bleach?
That and get some UV rays in a tanning bed.
Light the Beam for Coach Brown!
It’ll go away, just like a miracle.
Sure feels like everything is about to come crashing down.
Sixteen years of historical shit franchise and still standing. This won’t be the downfall. Have faith.
Meningitis flashbacks.
This
Looking forward to seeing Jordi’s rotations. Was really impressed with how he used the bench when he took over after Brown’s ejection. Maybe he can find some miracle combination to get more from our bigs at the end of the bench.
*sigh*
Wishes for a speedy recovery.
The NBA still does testing? I think it’s time to move forward.
I would imagine anytime someone is feeling ill they test for COVID — that’s just good sense. COVID cases are still high and people are still dying, so due diligence is still required
Explain to me why the NBA wouldn’t want to test the people who generate billions in revenue for an extremely contagious virus that has killed a couple of million people in this country.
“I’m tired of the pandemic.”
Is that how it works? We should just tell those afflicted to announce that they are tired of cancer, and get on with their lives.
Because they actually don’t. No symptoms, no test. Just like everything else.
No, they don’t anymore. Starting this season only unvaccinated players and staff (roughly less than 3% off all league employees) are being tested once a week. Part of this is due to league insurance policies. Vaccinated players and staff are not tested unless they show symptoms. Once they test positive, it is league policy that they must isolate from the team.
Welp….

maybe they wanted him to sit one of these b2b’s and he”ll play tomm
This is the right decision. Be nimble Alex and make good passes. This is your time.
Hey – with both Coach Brown out too, there’s a chance the Kings will LTB
Maybe it’s a weird lisp thing but I heard that Domas is staying home and watching Thumb and Thumber
