March Madness NBA Prospect Watch: First Round

By | 0 Comments | Feb 19, 2019

March Madness is upon us and it is likely that at least one of the guys playing currently will be a Sacramento King come June. Nobody can watch every game of the tourney, but I thought it'd be fun to track how each NBA prospect (according to DraftExpress's 2012 Mock Draft) was doing in the tourney, and update it after each round as a handy reference point.

Keep in mind that tourney success doesn't make or break a prospect, and in some cases over-inflates a player's draft stock (see Cleaves, Matteen). Some prospects don't even make the tourney due to bad teams. Still, it is a competition that is supposed to bring the best out of these athletes.

After the jump, the round-up of prospects from the first round of play. Clicking on a prospect's name will take you to their DraftExpress Profile Page in a new window.
