The great Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports reports that the Sacramento Kings will not entertain trades involving the No. 5 pick until the first four picks are made. Why? Oh, just because …
That's right: Thomas Robinson is the player the Kings think they can land at No. 5. I also happen to believe that they'll keep it if Michael Kidd-Gilchrist remains on the board, and will consider trades if both are gone. If a good trade can't be found, I think the Kings will be content to take Damian Lillard.
What are the paths to ThRob being available at No. 5? Either the Bobcats take Michael Kidd-Gilchrist outright, or they trade with the Cavaliers (who are after Bradley Beal) and take MKG or Harrison Barnes at No. 4. I do think that it is less likely that Robinson will be available than it is that MKG will be available, but we'll see soon enough.
