In resting vs the Warriors, the Kings are basically handing the #6 spot to the Warriors. Warriors are tied with the Clippers but Clippers own the tiebreaker. Lakers own the tiebreaker vs Warriors, while Lakers are a game behind the Warriors. The Suns are resting as they are locked into the #4.
Clippers schedule:
Portland – win
Phoenix – win
Warriors schedule:
Sacramento – win
Portland-win
Lakers schedule:
Phoenix – win
Utah – win
If Warriors lose to Sacramento tonight, they get the tie with the Lakers for #6 if everything is according to the above predictions.
So, a win by the Kings would create a matchup against the Lakers. Opting to rest and give the Warriors a win creates a first round match vs the Warriors.
I suspect the Kings would prefer to face the Lakers in rd 2 than rd 1.
Also it doesn’t matter at this point since Memphis already won.
Good. Good.
This is a weird feeling where the Kings have nothing to play for but the Dubs do. A very weird feeling.
(Listening to Bob Fitzgerald and Kelenna Azubuike trying to talk the Dubs up like this is a big deal is funny as hell, too.)
LOL @ the Hawks losing to the Sixers without any of their starters.
This has got to be a season low for points in a qtr if this score holds up…..
If you want to make an MVP case for Domas, that quarter was it
I’m not sure. I may be missing something but I don’t like this move by Brown at all. I’d have preferred to play this game and try to win.
Yikes, no. I am worried enough about Barnes and Murray playing
Nuggets are the 1 seed. Memphis won tonight which clinched the 2 seed for them. Kings are locked into the 3 seed. Suns clinched the 4 seed last night.
Clippers have to win both of their remaining games (tomorrow vs PDX & Sun @Phx) to finish at 5. Dubs have to win tonight and Sunday in PDX to finish 6. If the Dubs win tonight the Lakers are locked into a playin spot and have the edge of New Orleans for the 7th spot. Minnesota is locked into the 9th spot at this point. Oklahoma City will clinch if they beat Memphis Sun (which might not matter) or if Dallas loses in the next couple minutes.
There’s nothing left to play for. Unless you wanted the Lakers as a 6th seed instead of the Warriors.
Looks like Draymond and Poole are already smashing….. their knees and things into Kings players
I guess so. I just hate the Warriors and hate any player to try and lose. That said, the Kings are playing now so it feels more reasonable
Lyles with a block at the rim!
Hmm 29 to 34…. Warriors better start running/playing harder
I love these guys making the Dubs sweat!!!!!!!!!!!
I’m hoping that Harrison Barnes told Mike Brown he wants to play because otherwise I just don’t get why he’s in the game….
Harrison Barnes is the kid who really, really wants that perfect attendance award
Yeah I was curious and just looked it up he’s at 80 games before this game.
He’s already got the award. LOL
Not as a King
Cuz the Black Falcon does what the Black Falcon does what the Black Falcon does what he wants to do
I don’t know if I have ever seen a team pass the ball into the stands as much as the Warriors are doing tonight
They turn the ball over a lot. A whole lot.
Kings get 1 FT all half. LOL
Payton literally ran into Davion with his knee to undercut him on that pick. Warriors playing hard and dirty. Glad starters are out.
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who noticed that – it was a blatant trip and you could probably make an argument for a flagrant 1
No doubt… Not a basketball move to field tackle somebody from behind. Maybe a yellow card?
I fully expect to not see Barnes or Murray in the 2nd half.
Just watched 5 minutes in the second qtr. What are you seeing?
Just that they played almost 18 minutes in a game they don’t need to play.
I saw Barnes get whacked in the face and Mitchell get tripped on an extremely dirty screen. The most important thing tonight is no injuries and definitely no injuries to main rotation players
That point about Davion concerns me as well.
Dray with 2 Rebs, 2 assists and 2 points and a block with 3 turnovers in 20 minutes…
Hold up… did Mark Jones just call Coach’s timeout a smoke break?
They also have 3 TO’s to use this half before the use or lose it mark of 3 mins to go in the 4th qtr.
But this might have been a teaching moment.
No doubt… Mike Brown Smoke Break! lol
Love seeing Keegan start to get baskets in the paint. That’s an area I expect to see major progress next season
Davion Mitchell with the virtual Jordan dunk!
Air Mitchell!
I tuned in to watch Queta and Ellis and have been sadly disappointed. I guess they really do want to push the Lakers into the play in.
I’m here
Yes, but you should be on the court!
agreed… and of course we mean by proxy
Poor Draymon hope he’s got his Screen actors guild card paid up
I didn’t realize how big a piece of shit Payton is.
I didn’t realize that Barnes wanted to play tonight. LOL Makes no sense he’s played 26 minutes tonight.
why not? Brown doesn’t stop, its his personality
Monk hasn’t played a minute. He’s being rested.
This is way closer than it should be
It’s oddly fun. Listening to Bob Fitzgerald act like the Dubs are killing the Kings defensively is just amusing as all hell. LOL
I don’t mind if the kings lose tonight, but all these golden state fans around me make this a miserable experience. Only one of them was cool. They offered to buy me a beer.
Refs love some Warriors…. fun friend time.
How come when Poole shoots from three he looks like the Jordan logo? Ironic?
Did Draymond just foul out?
I didn’t hear the song
I’m slower than ESPN box score apparently
Not yet. Give it a few more minutes.
That was 5
BTW, the L*kers are currently in a battle with the Suns who are playing an even more G-League roster than the Kings
So funny to watch professional basketball players roll their eyes when Curry flops.
That Payton block was a foul to the head…. in more than one way.
lol what just happened…. what we knew would happen… What a great game.
Ellis time
