Not a fan of grey as a base color for any uniform but they aren’t terrible. Really wish they’d use that Sacramento wordmark on their purple uniforms instead of “SAC” though
I normally HATE grey as a uniform base with the passion of a thousand burning suns. But this base is a much darker grey, and I’m not sure there’s a better color to combine it with than Kings purple.
Of course, I could also be massively over analyzing this…
We have to remember that NBA athletes are also human. Keegan’s grandmother had a stroke. He’s 22 years old and just starting to find his way in life, let alone the NBA.
Long-term he’ll be fine. There are just things he has to go through – as an NBA player, and as a man.
Fox real sloppy with his handle and his midrange been off to start this game. Gotta find his groove and quick with the team down double digits early. Can’t let the Warriors extend this to 20 or so
Is there something we don’t know about Holmes? Yeah it was a bad start to the season, but Bad Richaun Holmes is still about as good as average Chimezie Metu.
Does Brown think he’s so unplayable that it’s not worth giving him some minutes to figure it out rather than Metu?
Combination of just how bad the minutes have been + the team is winning games now with him out of the rotation. I get it, even though it sucks that Holmes has been such a non-factor for them
I’ve just seen too much good basketball from Holmes to believe he suddenly has no value anymore. There has to be more to this than what we know. Maybe he just wants out?
Defensively, he looked lost. Maybe it’s the new system or maybe he’s still hurt about giving up his spot to Sabonis. Offensively, he is only effective in the PnR and once Hali left, so did his points. Although, I’m not a fan of Metu, he at least gives a slight threat as a 3 point shooter. It’s a bummer cause Holmes could always be counted on to bring energy.
I didn’t watch him much in LA and was worried he was a Buddy Hield character. He’s so much more skilled and intelligent with the ball than Buddy ever was.
It’s the ratio of “No, no, no YES!” plays to “no, no, NO” plays. Monk’s ratio of those is far higher than both Buddy’s and TD’s, although TD’s ratio has improved somewhat this season.
Something I’m seeing over and over again….this Kings team playing poorly for stretches, but having enough talent to consistently haul themselves back into games. Like many others lately, I’m watching this game and wondering how the Kings are even in it, let alone had a couple of leads.
Another sign of an improving team. Now to keep cleaning things up and not playing down to the level of competition.
Subconscious bias is a real thing. The Kings have been so bad for so long, it may have been a case of a sort of “muscle memory” for the officials.
Mike Brown calling it out multiple times helped, but oddly, I think Huerter going public with his “the refs do seem to call Kings games differently” – as a guy coming in from another organization, carried a sruprising amount of weight in getting the league and the refs to reflect and revisit how they call Kings games.
Or it’s just wishful thinking on my part…one or the other.
Just when I thought Barnes was starting to figure things out…he’s back to being invisible tonight. Might need to see less of him in the 2nd half again like last time they played the Warriors if this continues for the first half of the 3rd quarter
Keegan Murray has been excellent scoring the ball at least. It’s really a killer when both Murray and Barnes aren’t doing much. At least Keegan has 13 so far in the game.
GS is such a veteran team. Incredible all of the little things they do….I want to say right, but really it’s just using the rules to their advantage. Still impressive.
This whole roster is composed of highly intelligent and unselfish basketball players. They continue making good decisions with and without the ball and it leads to good looks.
Love how disciplined that set was. De’Aaron had the ball, waived at Keegan to come out, drove, and kicked it out to Keegan. Keegan doesn’t hesitate, nails the 3.
Keep Curry below his season average.
These matchups are always fun to watch.
Hope the refs don’t get another clay rim job
THANK GOD my affordable stream is going with the GSW broadcast team, that was a close one.
I’d rather be listening to Mark Jones tonight, personally.
It’s like choosing between two pieces of rotten fruit.
My listening to Kayte days have come to an end.
I like Jones fwiw. Draper is such a cornball I struggle to listen to him.
The early Kayte hate I felt was tinged with misogyny, but I must admit I don’t feel she’s improved nuch as time has gone on.
I like Jones and I like Draper. And I think Fitz is nearly unbearable. And yet, I can’t listen to the Kings. That should tell you.
She’s pretty bad, sadly. I wish she weren’t is the nicest way I can say it.
Really?
GSWs broadcast team is trash
Like the uniforms
Same. Normally the alternate jerseys are an automatic cringe for me, but these are actually pretty nice.
Better than old red uniforms. We’ll all like this new uni if the Kings pull out a win.
I’m probably the only person who liked the red.
Nope, I liked them too.
Not a fan of grey as a base color for any uniform but they aren’t terrible. Really wish they’d use that Sacramento wordmark on their purple uniforms instead of “SAC” though

Hopefully Keegan bounces back.
Off to a nice start!
We have to remember that NBA athletes are also human. Keegan’s grandmother had a stroke. He’s 22 years old and just starting to find his way in life, let alone the NBA.
Long-term he’ll be fine. There are just things he has to go through – as an NBA player, and as a man.
Well said.
Enough jumpers for now Fox. Come on…
He’s taken 2 jumpers so far….jeez.
They were having success in the paint.
Really happy to see that the Kings are looking for Keegan early. They are clearly trying to get him off.
I wonder what it’ll feel like if the Kings ever jump out to a big lead?
It’ll feel like you’ll still have something to complain about.
Ouch
Gorgeous screen by Domas for a Keegan 3!!!
What a beautiful 3 by Keegan!! Love the action to get that shot!
Barnes with an air ball?
After all that great passing to set him up with a wide open corner 3 smh
Barnes shot that last three as if someone had just told him that Jeff freaking Saturday and the Colts actually beat the Raiders today…
Missing a ton of shots at the basket.
At least the new uniforms spell out the entire name of the city.
This team fails to relax when they play the Warriors.
Kings can’t buy a bucket
Kings 3PT shooting been rough these last 2 games. Not gonna pull too many wins out if they aren’t hitting them with the kind of defense they have
Now is the time to make up ground without Steph in the game.
Barely beat a terrible Lakers team. What do we expect here? But the Kings are trending upward right?
Correct.
Fox real sloppy with his handle and his midrange been off to start this game. Gotta find his groove and quick with the team down double digits early. Can’t let the Warriors extend this to 20 or so
Monk for the And1!!!!
Welcome back, Keegan.
Murray with three steals already
Keegan has become Gary Payton
Love the fact that Murray has 6 FGA attempted already. Plus the 2 steals back to back was awesome, too.
Metu’s defense is so bad
I like this Mitchell/TD combo lately.
Great to see Davion getting that layup!! Excellent recognition!!!
Is there something we don’t know about Holmes? Yeah it was a bad start to the season, but Bad Richaun Holmes is still about as good as average Chimezie Metu.

26% 3 point shooter is a huge liability.
He is getting playing time because he has started to play within the flow of the offense and not launch up 12 3 pointers just because.
We need Monk’s aggressiveness tonight!
Monk quickly becoming one of my favorite Kings
Just instant energy and playmaking off the bench
I didn’t watch him much in LA and was worried he was a Buddy Hield character. He’s so much more skilled and intelligent with the ball than Buddy ever was.
Yeah I honestly had no idea he was this good of a playmaker.
It’s the ratio of “No, no, no YES!” plays to “no, no, NO” plays. Monk’s ratio of those is far higher than both Buddy’s and TD’s, although TD’s ratio has improved somewhat this season.
Lol he looks like pure chaos with the ball in his hands but the results continue to be good
Something I’m seeing over and over again….this Kings team playing poorly for stretches, but having enough talent to consistently haul themselves back into games. Like many others lately, I’m watching this game and wondering how the Kings are even in it, let alone had a couple of leads.

Monk is my favorite!
Monk got too cute with it. Drats. Kings had all the momentum.
And, yet, Monk’s out of control aggression gets him to the line again. Malik Monk has been absolutely incredible tonight. Very fun overall.
Somebody is talking to themselves.
As opposed to other times when I talk to you?
And Fox only has five points
Monk is the 6th man of the year!
Westbrook probably.
Not if his team finishes 2-79.
DOMAS FOR TREE!!!!!
Kings can win if they keep playing this hard.
Yeah, I see a big second half for the Kings if they can sustain this.
With 11/8/6, Domas headed toward a triple-double with 2 minutes left in the 2nd.
(Domas is running the numbers up faster than I can type this…lol.)
Vintage Fox mid range game.
Seems like we are getting a few make up calls. Which is to say we are getting calls.
Subconscious bias is a real thing. The Kings have been so bad for so long, it may have been a case of a sort of “muscle memory” for the officials.

Or it’s just wishful thinking on my part…one or the other.
What is it with Kevin Huerter and FT’s this year? Ay ay ay.
BS bailout.
Man, if Wiggins wasn’t such a long term piece for GSW, he’d be perfect on this team.
Did Barnes just shoot a….curveball? That was one of the weirdest looking shots off the hand that I’ve ever seen.
I really hope we find the Monstars who took his talent.
Or someone to take his place.
Fox gotta tighten that handle up. Still, big response in the 2nd to regain the lead after that brutal 1st quarter.
Wiggins put back looked like goaltending.
Ok….Okay! This looks pretty good, and with room for improvement!
Kings are playing great basketball. Looks like they’re gonna sacrifice defense and rebounding but it’s working
Nobody does halftime karaoke like G1C does halftime karaoke.
The untenable overly loquacious verbose game call by Mark Jones is unbearably annoying and distracting.
He’s got his own language.
Jones is telling more stories about the Dubs than the Kings ????????????. Jesus Christ stfu.
Fox and Barnes have nine points between them
Just when I thought Barnes was starting to figure things out…he’s back to being invisible tonight. Might need to see less of him in the 2nd half again like last time they played the Warriors if this continues for the first half of the 3rd quarter
Barnes game is down to drawing fouls and hitting the occasional three.
Keegan Murray has been excellent scoring the ball at least. It’s really a killer when both Murray and Barnes aren’t doing much. At least Keegan has 13 so far in the game.
God, a passive start just like 1st quarter.
Attack the rim!
Metu at least will go at the rim like he belongs there.
too much relying on jump shots – although when They are falling it is fun
Lol at not calling an offensive foul on Looney
Was KM moving? Didn’t look like it.
Oh come on refs.
GS is such a veteran team. Incredible all of the little things they do….I want to say right, but really it’s just using the rules to their advantage. Still impressive.
One thing you can say about the 2022 Kings for sure, they get back on D.
If I hear Jones tell one more story about the Dubs I’m gonna barf.
16 points allowed in fewer than 4 minutes to open the 3rd. Ooph
Nice run by the Kings!
This whole roster is composed of highly intelligent and unselfish basketball players. They continue making good decisions with and without the ball and it leads to good looks.
Well put.
Goooooo Kings!!!!
Modern day NBA game of runs. What will the zebras do last 2 mins?
That Domas/Huerter 2 man game is beautiful
Smart play by Draymond there. Tip of the cap.
Box score with 5 min left in 3rd Q looks nice! Don’t cave in! You’re just as deserving of this win as the other team!
Domas really might end up with a 20/20/10+ game
I laugh when national media talks about how bad the trade was.
DOMAS with another 3!
I. Love. Davion.
Davion is being an absolute menace defensively. Giving the Warriors all kinds of fits
D????MANTAS SAB????NIS
Sloppy slop slop. Dammit.
Well if I had to guess, it is going to come down to 8v5.
Ugh…getting sloppy after going up 8 with a chance to extend. Multiple turnovers. Now back to only a 4 point game
That TO to Poole was something that would’ve derailed the Luke Walton Kings. Mike Brown, however, calls a timeout and talks it out immediately.
And part of the reason for that is that Brown had an extra TO to use there. Because the Dubs have had to take time several times in the 3rd.
That turnover he just committed not withstanding, Domas is having an absolute brilliant game. This is why the Kings got him, in case you’re wondering.
It seems the refs are getting to work in the 3rd
Donte lost control of the ball and they give Monk a foul for it. Lol
K33GAN!
Love how disciplined that set was. De’Aaron had the ball, waived at Keegan to come out, drove, and kicked it out to Keegan. Keegan doesn’t hesitate, nails the 3.
This team is different.
Domas has 7 assists, but so does De’Aaron. That’s huge to have your 2 best players making plays for their teammates like that.
So you think this team is for real?
Yep. I do.
Can Curry have a poor shooting 4th now please
Doubt it, he probably won’t miss
Watching these games lately has been excruciating. Can’t the Kings have a comfortable win?
Dammit. Keeg smokes the layup and the Warriors get a 3 to respond. They just can’t seem to grow that lead beyond 8 points
Dubs are trying to get their first W on the road tonight. They really are getting after it. The Kings are going to have to earn it tonight.
OK, end of 3rd Q box score looks GREAT. Just keep it up. Don’t cave in. Git ‘er done!
Domas to the bench. This is where Fox gotta take over. Hasn’t been his best game tonight, but need him to carry the team right here
METU WHOA!
