I just wanted to say that I’m absolutely disgusted with Mike Brown starting Crowder. Not only is it an act of desperation but it’s a total slap in the face to everyone in that locker room. Your opinion of the bench being whatever it may be, but Brown just told his players that the guy off the street is better than them.
Despicable.
It’s not like any of the bench guys have stood out so far this season.
Naw, it’s a total “It’s not me, it’s you” moment.

It’s possible the intended recipient of the message was the general manager for not giving the coach enough guys in the first place to consider as the starting 5.

I hope Brown is given what he wants. A coach crippled by a roster chosen by others is stupid.
A lot of stupid decisions were made this off-season. I still speculate whether it was the GM or the corporate cost cutters – who may have also weighed the “political correctness” – in packaging off Vezenkov and Mitchell in the off season possibly without Malone’s consent. Not to mention considerations have been running amuck here for a while.

Did not have much expectations for Jae Crowder, but I think his attitude was needed for this team.
Looked gloomy there mid 4th but Monk and Fox blew up with late 3s. Kinda liking Crowder on the roster. Gives us a vet dog who won’t back down to anyone.
Crowder got inside Julius Randle’s head at the free throw line and gave him relentless heat talk for the rest of the game. Randle made a “tiny” sign to Jae after he sunk a mid level shot and Jae would have none of it and put a heavy body on him the rest of the game. Good on him

I’ve been riding these guys for being bad, so I’m going to celebrate them for beating what’s probably a better team.
I’m also happy the Wolves had to play yesterday and went to OT. I bet they were tired.

He had the freedom to play because Fox and Sabonis were drawing the defense off of him.
Mike Brown is an embarrassment as a coach to this team. McDermot should not be in the NBA, not playing Isaac Jones in the 4th was a sin, and Brown shouldn’t get credit for FoX and Monk going bonkers. He lost that game for them and didn’t even have their back with the refs. He has to go NOW
Start Monk for energy. Sub him out early and then bring him back when Fox sits. Figure it out, MB. Monk needs to start.
I think this is the way. I could be wrong but Monk opens up a lot for this team. It’s a calculated risk, but they need a lift right now, not later.
I still like him off the bench. He brings an energy that keeps defenses on their heels that I’m not sure would be the same if he were starting. The Kings often need his spark. I don’t they have that kind of guy who can come in off the bench the way he can. It’s not like he’s not getting his minutes coming off of the bench.

I think they need to shake things up a little but particularly with Deebo out. It’s almost crazy talk. Let Deebo work back a little slower this time and bring him off the bench.

The delicate issue is Keon is growing more confident in his shot, that has to be fertilized and not drowned by recognizing he is an important element on both ends of the floor.
It’s a long season. The Kings will need him to play well and confidently to steer around the iceberg off the port bough.
Keon can come or go. If he is the difference maker for this team we are a play in team at best. They can and should get guys much better than Keon. I love how he has turned out but he needs to start shooting the ball.
I want the Kings to win. Keon or Huerter are not the catalysts for a playoff team. Huerter was at one time.
Time to make that change. I think Brown was all in on finding guys that would score tonight. Monk can do it. Starting spark or bench spark. We need more spark!
Monk also unlocks Sabonis at the rim. Otherwise Sabonis has to try on his own and turns it over.

One last comment….
The dunk by Keegan after the Wolves had put the Kings down by what seemed like a peck of points (12) mid way in the 4th seemed to give the Kings on the floor a little juice. That combined with Jae Crowder relentlessly challenging Julius on each trip up and down the court were two factors in the play down the stretch.
Devincenzo’s role has been diminished on the Wolves compared to his role with the Knicks. Be nice to have him on the Kings for his D and 3 point shooting. Dreaming.
Devincenzo replaces Keon or Huerter. Not a bad idea.
Huh, so the Nets might beat the Suns after beating the Warriors a couple nights ago. Now I feel slightly less bad.
