Update: 10 p.m.
The Sacramento Kings returned home from the road trip and beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in overtime 117-112. This is the team’s second win in a row against top Western Conference teams. Makes tons of sense doesn’t it?
The Kings won the game down the stretch with effort. Defense that was stopping the ball. Diving for loose balls. A steal in the final moments by Precious Achiuwa. The crowd going crazy in true Sacramento fashion. It was a fun game.
The Kings forced the Wolves into 17 turnovers and scored 20 points off those turnovers. On the other side of the ball, the Kings finished with 27 assists and11 turnovers. They won again without shooting well from three (27%). They won fast break points and points in the paint.
Most importantly, Keegan Murray looked really good in his third game back from his thumb injury. He finished with 26 points and 14 rebounds in 44 minutes. In one of the final possessions of the game, Murray took the task of guarding Anthony Edwards one-on-one in space and forced Edwards to give the ball up. The possession resulted in a foul by the Kings but being reminded of the fact Murray is capable of that in crunch time is very reassuring. Zach LaVine sat for much of crunch time, finishing with just 7 points in 32 minutes. Most of the offense went through DeMar DeRozan, who finished with 33 points. Malik Monk played really well off the bench, scoring 22 points and providing a spark that helped the Kings get the victory. Dennis Schroder had 9 assists off the bench.
Amazing Kangz moment though as talk of a rebuild finally begins to take shape and the team starts showing signs of life on the court. (Getting Keegan back also helps.)

Hear we’re shopping all of the vets.
As to takers, don’t make any bets.
The Wolves coming in
Should easily win.
And for Vivek, as bad as it gets!
+1 Could the Kings win two in a row?
I stand corrected!
I have a lot to be thankful for this year…definitely not as a Kings fan but in general. Happy Thanksgiving week everyone!
LOL “Light the Beam” Victory Laser System ???? – electronics – by owner – sale – craigslist
Knowing them, they’d attach an unprotected pick to facilitate the deal.
…along with Mr. Cash Considerations
Translation: the Kings are losers
The End
Someone needs to make a listing for the franchise itself. $4B should do it.
Vivek sucks.
LOL…He is so broke that he needs to sell the
TeamBeam.Dear fanbase,
We know Minnesota has been a tough team the past couple of seasons. Please continue your support at we focus on defensive-minded strategies and a toughness approach. Leading this charge will be Zach “bulldog” LaVine – who brings a wealth of defensive ability and know-how to the forefront. Be sure to spot the occasional “94 feet” of pure defensive acumen. Once again, you know you can trust we are playing the players who will play, and the haters will be silenced.
Sincerely,
Management
Kings need to speed it up. Golbert is beating them down the floor on missed Wolves shots.
Dennis repeatedly moves down the floor too slow with the ball.
This is the Keegan I’ve been hoping for. Hopefully he rises from the ashes of this “rebuild.”
This is the only hope I have left. That Keegan steps up and the Kings make him a focal point. I’ve written off the season. This would at least make me tune in again
He’s got a long way to go, but I’m enjoying Maxime. Couldn’t ask more from a 2nd round pick.
We need some Drew Eubanks.
OMG!!! DEPEND ADS ARE NOW ON FOR KINGS GAMES!!
Zach is obviously struggling this year, can’t create a “good” shot on his own. At least when Demar works for a shot he is working in the midrange. Can the staff please remind Lavine that he was a dunk contest champ and not a three point contest champ? Bro is not Steph Curry, stop it already.
F$#$_ing DeRozan hero ball….how stupid. Move the ball, make a basket and win.
WTF is DeRozan the point guard now?
LaVine is back in?
Kings players terrific Defense and Keegan /Monk were difference makers . Presious is a keeper and 26 yrs old . Rookies show promise but that is about it .
LOL, the prospect of getting traded out of basketball hell has revitalized these players.
You just have to push the right buttons to motivate them.
Vivek just cancelled the rebuild.
Yeah, the players, coach and GM just needed a little time to gel.
The furious pursuit of the play-in begins now!
Can’t howl, but this deserves a victory shimmy. Kings Win! Dance!
