If this game is one-tenth as fun to watch as the 2OT Mav win over the Lakers, the Kings will win by 20 again with a Sabonis triple-double.
It’s really hard for me to find a greater joy in sports than to see the Lakers play their heart out and get robbed by the refs twice so that they end up getting their souls crushed in a second overtime. I almost teared up.
I was graced to boo Kobe at a championship parade on Main St., Disneyland USA by happenstance. I immediately went the other side of the park where the rides had no lines.
Man, I’m hoping the Kings have an easy game tonight. The Spurs are going to come out on Sunday hard……they got crushed tonight by the Dubs and lost by 31. They were down by 39 at one point.
I get the feeling that Davion is pissed off after that last play. Not that he ever needs motivation, but I wonder if Davion is going to have a good game.

Countdown to Davion forcing another offensive foul.
Rockets must’ve realized after last game that the Kings cant contain anybody from getting to the rim. They are attacking relentlessly rather than settling for 3’s
Considering their roster construction, that’s how it looked like it would be going into the season. Playing out exactly that way. THeir offense is truly elite at least
well, we’re still left the mystery of why they think it’s a good marketing strategy. I mean, ketchup is a non-Newtonian fluid. It has a high viscosity. That’s why it gets stuck to the bottle, and modern design changes to the bottle allow gravity to slowly pull the ketchup near the dispenser and a squeeze-bottle allows extra force to get it out. But dish soap has a low viscosity. There’s no difficulty with it.
I’ve got the Rockets feed so I really not seen the commercial. That was more explanation than I needed but I see your frustration. That doesn’t make much sense at all. LOL
If the Rockets can ever get a proper point guard to play next to Jalen Green, watch out. They might be the one tanking team that would be better off with Scoot Henderson than Wemby
TD has 3 steals… He is really a good basketball player…. he is just so slow to rotate and respond as a defender. I know that’s kind of a contradiction but……
He has an absurd athletic profile and is a pretty good shooter but doesn’t really have the best instincts on either end (though he’s better offensively than defensively)
He has a fair number of minutes on the second team as he plays longer into the 1st and 3rd quarters.
The Rockets are like other young NBA teams. They lack playmaking depth on the second team and that hurts Jalen on occasion. He is a hybrid guard, when they get a true point guard they can grow with they will show a lot of improvement.
He reminds me a lot of Bradley Beal or (young) Devin Booker – he can score a zillion points and is theoretically capable of being the primary ballhandler but ideally you want him at the 2 with a proper PG initiating the offense.
I see his 40% FG and 32% from three, and I see Sengun, who can clearly facilitate, and I just don’t understand why he’s so inefficient. I guess the dropoff in talent among the other three starters is putting too much pressure on him.
Many teams do exactly what the Kings did to him in the second half. They trap and double team him and he tends towards TO’s in that circumstance, which affects, I think, his shooting. He is still raw, but so athletic…they are asking him to do an awful lot. To your point. He had 25 points in the first half and 2 in the second. So, you have a point.
That’s an excellent description of his game. He has athleticism coming out of every pore, and he can flat shoot. He needs work on his D. I have watched him a dozen times this year. He is going to be some kind of player. Beal is an excellent comparison. He isn’t as physical as an early years Beal. But he will be some day.
Fox is as good a backcourt player as any guard in the Western Conference and, his clutch statistics put him in a strong position to make the team. He has played, so far, all but a few games in the first half of the season. That tips the scale in my mind in his favor over others who are equally impactful players for their teams.
I agree with you guys but we already know the All-Star is always just about popularity and the Kings have gotten no respect league wide forever(their history the past 16 years not helping them) and are never on national tv to showcase themselves. I hope I’m wrong but I can’t see them giving the Kings 2 All-Stars. I do think Fox finds a way to make it though in the end.
I agree with you. They will find a way to pass over his great half season, hard to not vote for Doncic, Shai is having a season for the ages, Curry, even with the missed time, will be a starter. Booker also.
If this game is one-tenth as fun to watch as the 2OT Mav win over the Lakers, the Kings will win by 20 again with a Sabonis triple-double.
One time I pulled for the Lakers. Never again!!!
^your power of prophecy is uncanny, Kings win by 25 with a Sabonis triple double. You should join the Nostradumbass contest!
You are almost psychic
Martin start is well deserved.
Man, I’m hoping the Kings have an easy game tonight. The Spurs are going to come out on Sunday hard……they got crushed tonight by the Dubs and lost by 31. They were down by 39 at one point.
Sabonis and Fox both hit long shots to start.
TD letting a washed Eric Gordon just go right by him to the rim. Gotta be better than that on the defensive end
That put back dunk by Fox!
Back-to-back cookie games!
I want a Sengun bobble head.
Refs are counting that shot?
Great. Just fantastic. The Kings are in the penalty for the rest of the 1st qtr.
Kings doing a better job closing out against the 3 this time around but still fouling too much
Sabonis. More double doubles this season than anybody.
Lyles lights up his flamethrower again.
Impressive flop by Sengun
He went backwards like he got shot out of a cannon. That’s incredibly funny. LOL
Sengun has flopped twice.
And the Oscar for first-quarter flop goes to . . .
Is Sabonis bleeding yet? You have to bleed to win!
How about you have to swell and bruise to win
I get the feeling that Davion is pissed off after that last play. Not that he ever needs motivation, but I wonder if Davion is going to have a good game.
Countdown to Davion forcing another offensive foul.
Those of us hoping for a continuation of last game’s 4th quarter are disappointed…
Don’t get ahead of yourself
Malik Monk has suddenly stopped sucking from 3
Rockets must’ve realized after last game that the Kings cant contain anybody from getting to the rim. They are attacking relentlessly rather than settling for 3’s
Getting to the FT line 13 times has really helped, too.
Monk hits three threes in about 50 seconds.
Good to see Monk hitting his threes
Pretty happy after that first quarter.
Since we have little to no defense, we’ll just have to outscore everyone.
Considering their roster construction, that’s how it looked like it would be going into the season. Playing out exactly that way. THeir offense is truly elite at least
Lucky for the Kings, they can basically do that.
Just keep finding Monk
I just saw an ad for dish soap that differentiates itself by the type of squeeze tube – like a ketchup bottle. but it makes no sense.
It’s hard to believe how easy it is for the Rockets to get into the paint.
slop, sloppy Joe. slop, sloppy Joe, meatloaf sandwich
Keegan Murray is not great at creating plays and he shouldn’t try.
I didn’t realize he was playing
sounds like a “van by the river” skit
He got them in the penalty now take advantage of it
15-3 Rockets run so far. Kings turnovers and the usual zero defense thus far to blame.
dishing up sloppy joes at half-time. get ’em while they’re hot
26 to 16 paint points advantage Rockets.
Discuss.
Also 14 points off 8 Kings TOV’s for Houston now. Lovely.
Time to get some points in the paint or get fouled trying.
Barnes can get fouled whenever he wants… he’s a foul bandit.
Thumbs up for the ‘foul bandit’ line.
Finally
And Keegan hits the snooze alarm for the fifth time, wakes up, and tosses up and and-one.
Fox forces the offensive foul.
Another bad turnover. Kings gotta clean it up
Domas is amazing
Ditto
Let Domas Cook
Keegan with that rebound and Sabonis feed… this is fun to watch.
Kings forgot it isn’t late in the third quarter. Turning it on early tonight.
26 paint points now for Houston & Sac. How quickly things change.
Points in the paint26-26. Keep it up Kings on
Good defense leading to transition offense
Jalen Green–19 points and a +/- of -11. He’s the ultimate in empty calories.
KEEGAN!
Wait what? A Keegan Dunk?
The more Jalen Green scores with those low-percentage shots, the more likely the Rockets lose.
Can we let the young guy play without hating on him while he’s balling out and keeping his team in the game?
I didn’t realize this was the Rockets game thread.
If you don’t know, now you know…..Yakshi.
Kings–11 offensive rebounds in the first half.
Rockets–13 rebounds total in the first half.
Still don’t get that dish soap ad.
Dawn Ez-Squeeze?
I forget the brand.
Thank goodness.

dish soap is nothing like ketchup.
I predict the Kings will have 7 guys in double figures by the time it’s all said and done, more if it’s a blowout. Rockets might have 4.
That’s generally a good sign, Green’s 25 points not withstanding.
Sengun flopped so bad he hirt himself.
If the Rockets can ever get a proper point guard to play next to Jalen Green, watch out. They might be the one tanking team that would be better off with Scoot Henderson than Wemby
Good call on Scoot.
Fox shoots in Green’s face, draws the foul, and hits the free throw. Beautiful.
Sengun’s flopping is already elite tier
WTF? Defenders can’t do that…
Did Smith just hang on the rim on defense?
That might be the weirdest play of the whole night
They aren’t calling the goaltend because… I guess because the shot wasn’t up? That still seems like it should be a technical
Sengun is quite the flop show.
Challenge that. That’s an and-one.
DOMAS BLOCK?!
As expected, Jalen Green is now shooting the Rockets out of the game.
Love that Terence Davis bounce pass assist to Lyles
I love just how much energy Domas plays with.
Ho hum, another double/double for Domas.
Sabonis has been hilariously short on both of his 3 attempts tonight
Rockets players were more focussed on a guy shooting a halfcourt shot for $10,000 to charity than their own huddle
Did he make it?
He did. Got $10,000 for his charity.
Green has -12 because shooting….. Sengun + 6 because flops
TD is such a chaotic player. Either he’s doing great or he’s a complete disaster. Getting the great version so far this quarter.
And they need all of it as well.
Davis plays full court defense, a turnover results, and a Fox three on the other end. Nice.
Kings offense is so damn good that they can just blitz you with a big run at any moment.
you guys ever tried raki?
Team mates gonna let HB hear it from them on that missed dunk lol
How did HB miss that dunk?
Take a picture. The Kings are playing good defense right now.
And just like that…..the Rockets aren’t quite out of yet. Only down 11 now. 101-90 Kings. Ay ay ay.
The last few offensive possessions just haven’t been great.
Finally getting some separation. Domas one ass away from triple double.
viviendo = living
for Mark Jones who asked
Triple double.
Caw Caw Caw
Gorgeous ball movement by Sacramento
Back to 17
Barnes with the death blow.
Lyles owns the Rockets
TD has 3 steals… He is really a good basketball player…. he is just so slow to rotate and respond as a defender. I know that’s kind of a contradiction but……
I’ve noticed that a lot of mediocre or flat-out bad defensive players manage to get decent steals numbers
He has an absurd athletic profile and is a pretty good shooter but doesn’t really have the best instincts on either end (though he’s better offensively than defensively)
Mitchell three. Love it.
Mitchell block of that three. So sweet.
17/15/12 for Domas
In three quarters
ALL. STAR.
GG.
Sabonis is the King
Might get some Keon Ellis and Delly time tonight (and PJ Dozier and Richaun Holmes)
Jalen Green: 27 points and a +/- of -24.
He can play on my team.

I’d love to see that happen.
Davion was locking up every Rockets player in that 3rd.
That was Davion’s quarter.
Domas is an all-star, I don’t care what the votes say.
Rockets commentators agree with you. Repeatedly.
He’s gonna be in the all-star game. The question is whether he starts
I’m convinced he’s a lock to make the roster. I think Fox misses the cut but makes it as an injury replacement since Booker is likely out
Fox is as good a backcourt player as any guard in the Western Conference and, his clutch statistics put him in a strong position to make the team. He has played, so far, all but a few games in the first half of the season. That tips the scale in my mind in his favor over others who are equally impactful players for their teams.
Right. Fox matters when it matters more than anyone else at his position right now.
I agree with you guys but we already know the All-Star is always just about popularity and the Kings have gotten no respect league wide forever(their history the past 16 years not helping them) and are never on national tv to showcase themselves. Yep, I don’t think Fox will be an All Star.
Matthews is a baby
Matthews trying too hard to be a villain. Dude’s laughable.
Ha! That white boy lost his temper! Lol. He nailed Monk. So did Sengun.
