If 3’s are falling then try making some shots in the paint. It’s a pretty easy adjustment.
Let’s get out of this shooting slump and hit some threes.
On a scale of 1-10 how much will Kayte talk today
If Ten is as high as possible than it’s a 10 .
So far I’ll give her about an 8, not as chatty as she can be
Disagree. She’s rattled on too long a few times already.
My device comes with a mute button, but I paid extra.
This could be a huge game for Terence Davis.
Give Lyles minutes to KZ please
Raptors do the same damn thing on every possession.
Waiting for Kayte to tell us what we need to know and what we don’t understand.
Oh come on Kayte…
GD even Trey Lyles runs up the floor faster than Fox.
Bunch of nice guys, no hard fouls in paint
We have turned into a bad team
LOL
road trip from hell. 3rd straight dreadful performance
Jeeze just turn off Draper’s mic.
Beauty Fox assists
Keegan Murray is very uninspiring
Impressive play by Murray.
Keegs box score looking very sad. No points on 0-for-everything shooting.
And Murray gives us the lead.
Letting VanVleet get to the rim way too easily that entire half
Kings minus Huerter seems better than Raptors minus Anunoby. Kings slept their way to a 16-point deficit, but ever since then, the Raptors look outclassed. But Scottie Barnes is incredible.
Haven’t been able to watch. Can someone give me the halftime report?
Kings started slow, fell to a 15-, 16-point deficit. Terence Davis started for Huerter, who hasn’t played. Once the second quarter started, the Kings have been gradually cutting into the lead until Keegan hit a three to give the Kings a lead late in the first half. But VanVleet has been driving to the hoop a lot for a game-high 19 points, and the Raptors are up 3.
Do we have an answer for Siakam or is he just waiting to wake up?
I honestly haven’t noticed him much.
Should have been an offensive foul on VanVleet for using his off hand to shove Fox and instead its VanVLeet going to the FT line
5 points gifted to the Raptors
Dirty fricken refs, what the hell I didn’t realize we are playing the Lakers.
I like that coach Brown got himself ejected. sometimes it’s good when a coach does that.
Especially since he’s a respected and level headed guy, when he blows up it really shakes an officiating crew.
All right. Kings down by 5 starting the fourth quarter. How many points do the Kings win by?
Oops, still in the third lol
Huh. Thought they’d win by more than one, but one point is as good as 12.
Enough threes….F^$$#!
I cannot believe those last few misses by the Kings. Halfway down and out on every one of them. Talk about shitty luck
time for Fox to turn on the jets?
Richaun!
How do these zebras get nba jobs
They follow orders
These refs are blind inconsistent morons.
They are very consistently doing as they are told. They are not blind, they are cowards.
VanVleet really gets more respect from the refs than Fox.
He really has more FT attempts than the Kings do as a team. This crew gotta be relatives of his
Kayte stop! Please!
Kings are playing with their food now.
New ballgame, but they have had zero answer for VanVleet all game and gotta think he’ll be coming back in any moment now
I feel like he’s gonna be making some big shots down the stretch here
Leave and die with the 3s. Go Kings
Man if we could pull out a win…it would be huge
125 first wins game ????
I disagree.
Kings 106
Raptors 99
NBA Refs 5
I got a good feeling
Sabonis is going to finish this.
Best player on the court today. KEep feeding him and running the offense through him in crunch time here
Or Fox bricks?
if they don’t overturn this..
Yea, Sabonis stripped the ball himself, what a joke
Can’t get over the fact that it really should be 114-105 Kings lead right now. This officiating crew has been a disgrace
Jump ball?
The unmitigated gall of these officials
Will we ever be free of Kayte?
Play defense, make your FT…..lol jk the refs won’t let them get any FT’s.
Kayte just plz resign and not re-sign
Ugh….make your damn FT’s!
Omg. Fox was leveled.
yeah, it looked like a hockey check
Slow start for the Kings, and home court advantage played a role for the Raptors, but really, the Raptors were just outclassed in this one.
Really fun game.
Slow start? More like slow 42 minutes.
We saw two different games, I guess. I was watching the Kings-Raptors. From the early 16-point deficit onward, the Kings’ advantage was steady throughout.
Hilarious finish. VanVleet gets away with another offensive foul but justice prevails. What a gutsy, gutsy win for the Kings. 3rd game in 4 nights all on the road vs a well rested Raptors team and they had to overcome playing 5 on 8 the whole night
Damn, that was 5 vs 8 the whole time. Still, we pulled it out.
I lurk on other team’s sites and podcast because I just love basketball. Every single fan base feels the same way about their team.
But we have evidence
Everyone’s tweeting it, even the media.
great win
Man, what a game! Eff the refs, seriously!
2-3 in this road trip, we need to win that Pistons one to stay afloat in the West. Thank God we have a very easy schedule after this.
LIGHT
THE
BEAM!!!
We gave van fleet a wide open look. No defender near him but luckily he rushed it. Now beat Detroit to go 3-3 and we can salvage this road trip.
HE tackled Fox to get that shot
This time I agree with u
Wowee woo! A 1-point win!
Domas really should be a lock for the All-Star
How do you feel De’Aaron stacks up at this point? I agree about Domas, FWIW.
I thought the way De’Aaron finished the game with his eye cut was impressive. What a warrior! Great win!
After two stinkers they return to form, beat a decent team on the road.
As always, De’Aaron is probably an Eastern All-Star but simply can’t be argued as better than Steph, Luka, Booker, or Ja.
MAYBE he’s the 5th man on that list, but more likely than not fans will vote for a Lillard or Paul before him.
I don’t think Lillard or Paul should get in but they’ll get the coaches vote due to history ahead of De’Aaron. I think, if anything, he’ll get in as an injury replacement as a snub. Sadly.
Boogie got in as an injury replacement and that seemed to open the door for his future consideration. Despite the Thunders’ record Shai seems like a lock to me. Very realistically if De’Aaron gets in, the injury replacement route may be his only way to his first All Star game.
You see it as a snub but I see it as an opportunity. If..if he makes it in as an injury replacement in a few years nobody will remember that he made it in as a replacement, they will remember that he’s an All Star and if in future years he continues to grow his game it will make it all that much easier for future voters to vote him in on his own merit. IMO.
Oh, plenty of guys have been snubbed and made the game legitimately as injury replacements. De’Aaron would be just another in a long line of players deserving.
Think he’s on the fringe. The injury affecting his play the past 2+ weeks hasn’t helped and the guard spot is just so insanely deep in the West. SGA having the season he’s having isn’t helping either, as he may force his way in despite the Thunder’s overall record
I’d agree about the biggest impediment to De’Aaron making it at this point is the depth at G, not necessarily his play first and foremost.
Ok….just for shits and giggles when I miss a game I read down about 80% of the thread trying to figure out from the comments if we won or lost. Tonight honestly……I can’t tell. On one hand the majority of the comments are shading gray like we lost and there are a few rays of sunshine indicating maybe we were heading towards a victory. Gonna look at the box score now. Crazy optimist that I am I’m hoping we won.
If you got the game DVR’d BJ, I’d watch the whole thing. A boxscore doesn’t really tell the story of a game like this one.
Thanks bud. Don’t have it DVR’d but it will probably come on late night. Looks like a gritty win and after the last 2 miserable games I’m happy to see them win another game on this road trip. I actually didn’t lose any faith in our guys during those losses. Great to see Fox ballin again. We won’t go far without him. But…….Domas…..Domas is a god
I was thinking something like that–something like, if you erased a quarter of the most positive comments and read the rest, you’d walk away sure the Kings had lost.
But really, it’s just three or four of the same names over and over who tend to lose heart/faith whenever things don’t go right . . . or just to see the negative in things.
I’m sure that most genuine Kings fans are happy with wins and can even say so.
Yakshi, you’re right. I’ve been participating for over 15 years in the game threads here and at the other site. We used to have to switch threads at halftime because the original game thread post couldn’t handle any more input. I have a very good idea why things have changed so much. Even in the midst of our mediocrity the game thread would often exceed 1000 comments.
I’m old but the major difference I can see is that in the old threads you could actually follow the games progress and if someone couldn’t watch the game or had just entered the thread they could follow the progress of the game (or not) thru the thread. I don’t really see that here anymore. And you’re right, many times it’s the same people reiterating the same attitude over and over again.
Lastly my friend, it’s not like the old days were perfect. There were many games where Kingsguru and I and a handful of others would be the only people on a game thread and at the end of the night might be lucky to hit 60 comments but there are beautiful plays made in losing efforts and at the very least…..even if you had to squint you could usually follow the what was happening during the game by working your way thru the game thread.
Jordi Fernandez with a better presser than Luke Walton ever had—and he didn’t even have to watch the tape!
It sounded like he actually knew what happened.
