God, the difference in talent is stark.
I’m really not trying to get ahead of myself with Keon. He could just be an unscouted player who’s having a nice stretch, after all. But oh man does it really feel like the Kings got something here.
If it feels good it’s probably good. The proof is in his play and he’s playing great. He’s been heading upward slowly since he transferred in college.
Also trying not to get ahead of myself. But Keon’s maturity and progression feels like it’s unlocking this entire team right now. He’s becoming what we wished the Kings would trade for the past two seasons – a defensive stopper who still can operate within the flow of the offense and score if absolutely needed.
Also, while I wish Huerter well and a quick recovery, I can’t help but think that he’s been officially Wally Pipp’ed now. (Those who aren’t students of baseball history, Google is your friend).
