It feels like they’re shooting 3’s for the sake of shooting 3’s, not in the flow of the offense.
Problem is they don’t half a half court offense outside of the dribble handoff and Fox iso. And they absolutely live and die by the three. Pels are not allowing a lot of open looks and the they aren’t taking advantage of the ones they do get.

Fox is trying to put this team on his back. But they just don’t have many reliable scoring options outside of him. Domas will get you 18/12/10 a night, but he’s not gonna go off for 40. Need a reliable third option outside of those two and they just don’t have it.
I wouldn’t even call Domas a 2nd option. He not built to score like that. Need an upgrade in offseason
He’s a walking triple double. He’ll rebound like crazy and set guys up to score, but he should really be a 3rd scoring option. You can run the offense through him, but he can’t carry the scoring load. They need a consistent scoring threat out on the wing.
Ideally Keegan Murray is your 2nd option. Loss of Monk is a killer.
My pregame dread was that Keegan would come out cold after being on fire against GS. Dread confirmed and then some.
Down 9 and shooting 5/20 from 3. If those start falling, it could be close.
This team lives and dies by the three. If they want to win this, they need to shoot 50% or better from deep in the second half.

Maybe Davion is just making bad decisions? He has been good the past couple weeks, tonight he looks sped up.
he played well the entire 2nd half of the season. but he changed his shot selection in the Golden State game. it was obvious.
The problem with this team is that there are too many guys who don’t show up when the pressure is on. They were fantastic against the Warriors, but the only guy who really showed up tonight is Fox (and Barnes), and that’s not enough.
Fox, Barnes and Domas. But the rest stunk, so far.

I’d argue that Sabonis has shown up. 4-6, 10, 9, 4, 3 steals, and a block. What else do you want from him?
