Greg, please don’t boo.
Greg ruined booing
Everything seems to be against them tonight…from the All-Star snubs and current general disharmony throughout the team to the SEGABABA (in DEN! no less); I want to see how the team responds to the downward pressure.
Hey did you guys know the Kings played last night?
I can’t remember
Fox just busted his freaking wrist. Great…
oh boy. this one might be over early.
This game is over. Didn’t even want to watch this one and that hasn’t been the case for me all season.
Keegan has to be more aggressive. I like what I’m seeing so far. Keep it up.
how about putting Davion on Gordon
So he can go for 50??
HOW THE FUCK IS THAT NOT A FOUL AGAINST KEEGAN?
I do get what you’re saying
You do?
Since you asked……I’m not sure
I have no idea what you’re talking about. Keegan drove the lane and was nailed and no foul call. Are you watching the game?
Come on Brown, just give Fox a break tonight.
Kings going into the all-star break like chumps
Mine as well give Jones some quality time.
Kings have zero free throw attempts after 1
Well, just got home and it didn’t sound good from the G-man and I’m sure it didn’t look good either.
ISO ball isn’t fun to watch.
So glad to see Len in there playing basic basketball as opposed to JaVale doing whatever it is he do
Are we sure Trey isn’t still ill?
Monk throws a lazy pass to Len which get picked off, ends up pouting on the offensive end while the Nuggets go on the break. The vibes around this team are vile.
They’re already in vacation mode.
I by no means think they are past the point of no return morale-wise, but these guys seem a little sick of each other. A vacation honestly sounds pretty timely.
I think the expectations of winning this season has gotten to them all, even the staff.
I remember reading that Mike Brown was telling guys to call each other out to instill ‘accountability.’ Domas said at one point that it was good for them and guys know to not take it to heart when someone chews them out. Idk if I believe that. Players look a little fed up with Brown and each other. I don’t think everyone responds to that kind of coaching, and if anything, being yelled at for mistakes doesn’t make you learn it just makes you uncomfortable. Just one theory, but I think Mike Brown may be mistaking ‘tough love’ for a ‘hostile work environment.’ Compare that to last season when there were no expectations and Brown was running sprints on the sideline and yuckin it up with players and reporters. It’s what made them such a lovable team. They were loose then. Things seem tense now.
He taught the guys last season, and this season he just seems to be pointing out what they did wrong. Idk, something is off with these guys.
Last year Brown was all about learning and improving, and constantly mentioned the process and the journey, not the destination. This season its been about “we are a contender” from preseason, and it seems to be lots of pressure for everyone.
Agreed. A lot of pointing and yelling and fewer of those teaching moments that we loved MB for last year.
big brick at the FT line there
I’m shocked the game is this close!
ISO Fox creating his own stat line while his team is losing.
Not really…is he? 7 points on 286% shooting?
Exactly…he is leading in the stats…not in the game. He doesn’t care either.
Keegan is asleep out there.
smoke ’em if you got ’em
Kayte’s comments on the rotation are hilarious. Mike Brown is going to see if he can find what he’s looking for with Keon Ellis. All-righty then.
“all-righty-then” like Ace Ventura 2 in the Himalayas? or like the first Ace V movie?
Oops, I was off by an hour on the game.
You can easily imagine what you missed
Kings were too
and you might find yourself … driving a car, asking how did I get here?
Great, down 15 to 5 back up to 14
Kangz bball!
Hey at least we’re like, what, 20th in defense this season? LOL.
Worst part of a game like this, is that Kayte talks even more than usual.
Did Brown find what he was looking for with Keon? Asking for my friend Kayte.
Found an over paid G league player.
Damn.,,,,surprised again.
LOL
I could speculate but that always makes my head hurt
Look guys! It’s a real basketball team!
What do we do?
Dont know….just stay out of the way.
Fox’s inability to create players for other in like 50% of the games is terrible. He’s not a point guard half the time.
That level of effort isn’t there. Not fun and he stats suffer.
Remember…..snubbed again.
Kings need one of those team building exercises, like a Ropes course or some shit. This is tough on the brain.
yeah, a wilderness retreat, some coastal cleanup, Bingo at roundup, river rafting, cooking classes with foreign chefs …
Trust falls, lol.
How about pizza and watching tv.
Smoke and pancake? Bong and a blintz?
Pretty much the always acceptable fall back. Maybe they need some pizza……but what type?
Pineapple, jalapeño, olive.
They’ve been on the road together for 15 of their last 19 games. A little time away from each other may be the best therapy.
it’s not too late for Festivus
No. Put them in an escape room until they find a way out.
might turn into the thunderdome real quick
That’s the only way we can score…dunk it.
Wide open 3’s. Half the team standing around in the paint.
Joker deserves another T. Kick him!
I like how Michael Malone gets himself T’d up backing his players. he did that with Cousins a lot.
These players are soft. Jokic was barely touched and decided to kick and scream. Weak ass generation
If you were Eastern European or Slavic, a suitable explanation for his natural affinity for flopping and whining and whining and flopping would be, “He’s Serbian.”
That’s a terribly unfair generalization, and I’m sorry to non-whiny Serbians for that remark.
I’m confused. The Kings aren’t getting slaughtered. They are actually . . . trying?
remarkably, this game is not over.
Friendly Zebras tonight
Frank Vogel must’ve hooked up Mike Brown with the guy who makes the drops…
Uh, the Kings are only down by six. A steal isn’t outside the realm of possibility.
Which dimension are you referring to?
Three point game on the Domas hammer.
I think the Kings have found one of the only teams that is softer than they are.
Another tight game. Maybe the Kings can close this one out, and not fold. Hit their free throws.
12 minutes left for Kangz or Kings?
Chris Duarte? WTF Brown? LOL.
Shit, meet wall.
“Let’s start the 4th with Duarte.” HAHAHA….Wut?
He’s a freaking foul machine.
flagrant on Braun
Denver is so soft that Braun is their enforcer.
Davion apparently was in the game when the Kings made that mini run to end the 3rd. He literally had no impact. Did nothing offensively except bring the ball up court, and defensively just stood in the corner on his man…
We need a real backup point guard.
That was not a foul on Monk.
The 1st one was. He had his hand on the back and kinda pushed nudged the nugget guy
That was a beautiful play by Fox. I was positive he was taking that jumper, and then he dishes to Trey Lyles for the easy dunk.
Yeah it was! More playmaking from Fox please!
This team is so confusing.
So is life
I am surprised to be impressed with Duarte’s limited minutes, especially his revelation that he can play active defense without fouling.
He hasn’t defended that well has he?
I think so. We’re allowed to disagree.
We are. I guess he has. I didn’t think so at first.
Damn did you know TV market-wise, Denver is only three spots bigger than Sac? I didn’t know that. I should’ve known that.
Uh oh!
Uh oh!
Monk versus Jokic jumper. Monk has to be the favorite.
Need someone to get hot.
Jokic’s nose gets more read as the game goes on.
Please, no turnovers.
these are very similar teams in terms of style, strengths and weaknesses
Just turned on the game….wow. Didn’t expect it to be so close. Let’s go get this win.
We were down by 16 a few minutes ago.
Entertainment wise, I was expecting this game to be about as interesting as a rerun of Home Improvement. But this game is definitely in The Office territory.
Uuugggggghhhh??
I assumed a loss, so in my mind, this game is a free roll.
I don’t think so Yakshi.
Too stressful?
Just quoting Home Improvement
nice shot by Duarte …
Duarte is the head of the snake.
I just typed that to make myself laugh.
then he bricks the next one, shot off the catch, moving left
I’m so used to them falling apart at this point in the 4Q
Reached the point of a game worth watching but this Draper idiot is killing the vibe.
TV on mute.
He is so bad.
They’re both awful!
For sure. Wish I could listen to the G man here in Tennessee, but I don’t think I can
I’m sure you can. You can google just about any radio station in the world. Anyway, I hope so.
Tried in the past, but sports don’t come in. They go to something else during that time. Must be a contractual thing.
I think HoustonJP has mentioned being able to tune in from there.
Just saw this JMan. On Sirius tune in to channel 905, that is the Kings dedicated game channel, and you get Geroud. You have to have the Sirius package that Carrie’s the sports channels for MLB, NFL, and NBA. Then you use the tv remote to pause the game for Gerry’s broadcast to catch up and it works well.
You can on Sirius XM Hobby. Synch up the broadcast on the radio by using the pause button on the tv remote and it works pretty well.
See JMan’s comment below. A little more detail their. One more point. Sirius will give you a year subscription very affordably. Negotiate. Get it for your car, then you are permitted to put it on all your phones or tablets and that is how I listen to Geroud while watching on TV. Kings game channel is 905.
Kayte at least understands basketball.
Now if she could just work on her whole won’t shut the fuck up thing.
Denver tv keeps their stories to one possession and I’m in heaven.
Solid minutes from Duarte. One good three, one bad. One block.
I say this with the opinion that Sacramento is probably Duarte’s last stand in the NBA.
That was a total flop
I’m surprised they made the correct call on that. I thought for sure Jokic would get it.
Fox. ISO. step-back. three. clank.
ISO Fox is Fox.
Fox was unstoppable one on one there.
Need some Denver misses, and some luck.
We might have to be shooting free throws late in the game..
De’Aaron Fox!
Call a timeout, Mike Malone.
Back to back buckets by De’Aaron! Please get some stops and let’s win this!!
Yeeeaaaahhhhh Booooooy!
WHAT A STEAL!!!!!!!!!!!
Loving Jones enthusiasm coming off the bench each timeout
FOX IS UNSTOPPABLE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fox just decided that the Kings were going to win this game, and that was that.
Holy shit, what a comeback!
Don’t celebrate yet.
I have already turned the game off.
Ball game.
This Fox guy is kinda clutch
FOX HATERS WHERE YOU AT
Busy afternoon, just tuned in. This looks pretty good! (Assuming we don’t brick 7 straight FTs)
The funniest picture this year in the NBA: after Fox’s steal, Jokic actually *tries* *to* *chase* *him* *down*.
L O L
Foxy!!
Fox wanting the feel good win going into the break.
Seriously, they gave that to Jokic???
Definitely going to be coming down to free throws….
Our two All Stars really came through for us.
JESUS CHRIST THAT WAS RIDICULOUS
Excited to lurk the “Fox had a good game but, but, but…” bs the comment section of the site has become.
JFC! The Joker needs a flopping violation.
I saw that. Fell to the floor after shooting those three’s, trying to get a call. Ridiculous.
Yeah, he hit the ground hard that last time. He’s going to flop himself into an injury.
Huge win. Enjoy your vacation, boys.
Fox around and find out!
Denver has no more timeouts. That’s game.
Fox with the imprint
I heard he was just padding his stats and didn’t care if the team won!
Wow, can we please face Denver in the first round?
Nuggets or Mavs would definitely be preferable. Kinda funny how we own Luka and Sabonis+ (operating on the logic that Domas is Jokic Lite)
That was a fantastic Fox finish!
To be the champ you have to beat the champ four times
You can just stop the clock if you’re the home team?
Amen. What the hell was that all about.
Good win fellas. See you next week!
Huge win. SEGABABA at a mile high altitude against the champs.
Light the beam!!!! Glad we got that win before the All Star break. At least we went 2-3 in that five game span when I thought they’d go 1-4.
What a win. LTMFB!
Fortune favors the brave.
good ugly game.
Hyper slow game. Ugly game bro. I still can’t quite believe we won this funky game. Alternative dimensions must have impacted the final score. Fox has no idea how they managed to get the win.
I think we all need a break
Kings stopped the turnovers in second half. The worst being Malik on the inbounds to a retreating teammate gets it stolen by Aaron and boom. However, there were very few in the second half and the Kings transition D was good in the fourth qtr.
Fox’s steal stripping Jokic and getting two deflated all the Nuggets…except Jokic.
An ugly game no doubt. Win.
Felt like the lack of TOs directly correlated to Fox taking the ball at end of the game/4th rather than Monk. Monk is a TO machine when he has the ball too much/too long.
He really lacks urgent/awareness. That inbound steal. Monk constantly loses focus.
I would say he tries too hard sometimes, entirely too much. Silly turnovers… a la the bounce pass to Len, he should have made the pass but up high. The inbounds steal…that’s another possession lost. Each possession has value in the era of then 3 point NBA game.
He has urgency coming out of his pores. He is also essential to their success. This year and beyond.
Good to see your posts tonight Houston JP. Always a pleasure
Yours as well Blue.
This Kings team has a winning record against the best teams in the West.
Fox with 15 points in the 4th qtr.
imagine that.
Kings finished with some great defensive effort in the later quarters and hung through the game. Yeah sure the Nuggets aren’t the healthiest or at full power but a win is a win nonetheless. Fox those pick steals nearly back to back is showing his hunger to actually wanting to win which is refreshing to see again,
I surely hope the all star break will give the team enough time to rest up and re-spark the energy they had coming into the season that we’re not the team that’s on the outside looking in for a playoff spot, I’ll be happy if we finish around 5th or 6th seed when the season’s over.
We were on the same level of thinking Russ, You said it much better than I did below. Just read your earlier comment. Spot on. The transition D was good and the Fox steals were the tipping point.
