The Sacramento Kings take on the Dallas Mavericks at 12 PM PT. The game will air on ESPN2.
The Kings will attempt to move to 4-0 in Summer League. The Mavericks have yet to win a Summer League game this year.
The Kings will finish Summer League on Tuesday, and the league will use a variety of factors to determine which team is the Summer League Champion. The Bee’s Jason Anderson provided a breakdown of the criteria:
Las Vegas Summer League tiebreak criteria
1. Two Teams Tied
• Head-to-head matchup (if applicable)
• Point differential
• Random drawing
2. More Than Two Teams Tied
• Point differential
• Random drawing
* Kings currently one of six unbeaten teams; fifth in point differential https://t.co/zl43vnkFD6— Jason Anderson (@JandersonSacBee) August 14, 2021
Remaining undefeated obviously would help the Kings odds of winning it all and adding another Summer League banner into the rafters of Golden 1 Center.
Go Kings!
The Summer League: The opportunity for Kangz fans to get deluded for 16 yrs straight. I like Davion as a player. But, when he has to face REAL competition… That’s when I’ll watch. Watching G Leaguers, Cast offs, and a couple decent players per team really doesn’t tell me anything.
But according to Vivek, winning Summer League means the first step towards winning the NBA Finals.
Ok
Thanks for stopping by….
You’re doing it all wrong. This is the time of year when you should enjoy being a Kings fan, because hope will soon be gone for the season. The draft, summer league, first month of the season, its our time. If not, just become a Dubs fan and tune in for the playoffs.
I know that it’s still the off-season
And being pessimistic now is almost treason
So I wrote this little ditty
I know it ain’t that pretty
But to honor Jman was my reason.
(Folks, doing a limerick is not so easy. Doing 82 a season is HARD!)
Think you did pretty good, FWIW.
Purpled!
Doing more than 82 a season is even harder, if you’re posting them on a Kings blog!
Rhyming treason with reason over the bridge did not go unnoticed.
4-0 after today with the ship in site on Tuesday.

Summer league championship banner awaits ! Who says Vivek can not build a champion ?
Got it start somewhere….Name checks out.
Metu is showing a bit too much Bagley with bringing the ball up and going one on one off the dribble only to have it knocked out of his hands. Pass it to your guard, big fella.
Metu!
He thinks he’s still on the big squad where nobody’s going to stand up for him. Good job, Metu!
He’s already learned that nobody will stand up for him, not his teammates, the refs, the league…I doubt anyone undercuts his legs again anytime soon. It’s unfortunate, but I get it, it makes me like him even more.
Agreed. I hate seeing punches thrown in games, but this was one of those rare times where it was absolutely necessary.
Good on Metu for not only understanding what he needed to do and why, but for actually doing it and being willing to face the consequences (which will probably be more severe than they should be in order to “set an example” or some such BS).
King’s fans been clamoring for toughness and nastiness, enter: Metu.
He may have just gotten himself suspended for the next game.
No, anything but that!
Is that you, Vivek?
Guess Chimezie learned something from the Valanciunas incident.
Hell yeah
Can’t fault Metu at all there.
Save some of that for Valančiūnas, Metu!
Its rare that I am happy a player swung back
Go get ’em, Chimezie!
Kinda neat to see Gary St. Jean’s son coaching the Mavs SL team.
I knew his last name reminded me of someone.
METU AIN’T NO BITCH!!!!!
GO KINGS!!!!
At least Louis King and Woodard is pushing Metu back.
I don’t want to overr-react, but Mitchell at least should show some support to Metu, Mitchell is just standing at the corner, really like the JV’s incident, our guards let standing, and did nothing.
Thump up for Metu, King, Woodard.
Kuminga looks great.
So offense vs defense for the championship… sequenced.
