Mavs know that keeping your star players out of the lineup is how to guarantee yourself a win against the Kings ????
Domas has to finish those against Powell all night for the Kings to win. They need to establish him inside tonight.
Domas missing 2 bunnies inside. He needs to keep taking those though.
Geez, make some shots guys.
Draper is such a fckin nerd
Kings defense getting carved up
Ellis yea!
Hopefully your better half shows out!
I’d hope so…. This is looking really out of sync right now though
Sadly yes.
I’m unsure how a team can be so bad at rebounding
Wake the fuck up Kings.
Trying too hard to make things happen against this Dallas team. They aren’t sticking to what they do. Thinking too much out there. Was a problem against Indy and New Orleans, too, to a large degree.
Plus Dallas is hitting their shots and the Kings aren’t sticking to their game plan. Getting lost too often in scramble situations as well.
Yikes…..and this is without Luka playing
Davion has to get that rebound at the 3:50 mark in the 1st quarter. enough of the goose eggs in the rebound column
we need a new backup pg, davion ain’t getting it done
that’s your culprit for the team giving up 45 points in the 1st quarter? weird.
Christian is laying the Wood on the hapless Kings.
Christian Wood really just owns the Kings
Good to see De’Aaron trying to get to the line.
This is some bullshit by Dallas. They ain’t this good.
The real problem is Dallas is beating you by 8 in the paint. The 7 3’s happen, but you can’t let them score inside, too.
Kings are finding out that being on top puts a target on your back. Teams are bringing it to the Kings early and the Kings seem to fail to show up early.
Pels game all over again. ANother West playoff contender mopping the floor with the Kings
Caw caw caw
Ok……Row Jimmy I’ve seen you put this up at least 3 times. Is Caw Caw Caw the sound a Black Falcon makes because if it is I have to say it sounds more like a crow to me. And that’s all I have to say about that and possibly about this whole friggin’ game.
Barnes got fouled twice on the original take and the put back. Let the foul bandit shoot 4
Damn it Barnes
Can’t keep letting them score in the paint. That’s a guaranteed way to lose.
Sigh, we got the out of control Monk tonight. Just a disaster with the ball in his hands
Smart challenge. Regardless of how it goes for you, you need to change the tone of this game and fast.
And now Monk is on the line for 2 FT’s. Maybe not having that challenge will hurt later on, but Brown was right to use it now. At the rate they are going, there won’t be a game to worth using a challenge on.
And that’s the 3rd PF on Powell. Might not matter now, but it will at the end of the game.
3rd foul on Powell and on team. Keep going to the hoop.
How the hell is Domas 2nd in the league in rebounds yet any big putting in a sliver of effort easily overpowers him?
Just checking the box score after the first quarter. If this team thought they were just going to out-offense other teams to victory, hopefully this is a wake-up call.
The offense and defense is just not there right now.
Wonder if the Mavs can hit 80 before the half.
3 on McGee and Powell now. That’s good news.
Cmon boys! Nice defensive sequence!!! Get back into it!!!
Mavs one of the worst teams in the league at OREB and are up 7-2 on the Kings on that regard already
Every time this team is poised to make a push, they then shit the bed multiple possessions in a row. No rhythm whatsoever, it’s clearly frustration more than anything else with these guys. Gotta find something that works, and to a degree playing in the paint is where they have the advantage. Domas needs to be down there for most of the game, no more 20 footers dude.
Damn, just split it tomorrow
Come out and win the next two quarters and see if you can eke out a win. Starts with stops.
The Kings have been playing with energy and appear to be trying hard but the Mavs are breaking down their defense like a practice squad.
23 assists on 28 made shots. Not the iso-Luka Mavs right now. They look similar to the early season Kings that surprised the league.
At least the Mavs didn’t make it to 80 before the half.
It really is the dog days of the season ????
True but for the last 16 years it’s all we’ve had
Did anyone else think that the Kings appeared a bit too anxious to start the game?
Yep. I thought they were trying too hard in a lot of respects.
Somehow, only being down 18 at half after that showing feels like a blessing in a way. Horrid defense + Mavs flamethrowing shooting from 3PT while the Kings can’t hit anything
Kings are scrambling on defense. Hopefully a few more players can stop their heads spinning and make some plays.
Guard the Kings on the perimeter, and you’ll completely lock up their offense.
On the bright side, Plumlee and Thybulle wouldn’t have done a thing to make this game more watchable.
I’m also starting to tire of Magic Monk.
Any stop we get is immediately ruined by boneheaded plays on offense
Can’t string multiple shots and stops together.
No. Rhythm. Whatsoever.
Keegan 3’s!!!!!!
We need the rookie to dig us out of this mess.
I’ll shoulder some of the blame for this. The Kings are 2-7 in games where I’ve sold my tix.
Don’t give anybody on this site your real name or address. Hope you don’t have a wife or kids. There is no telling what some “fans” would do considering you’ve cost us 5 wins.
It’s my cross to bear.
Bare it quietly
too bad the bench decided to suck right after the deadline.
Davion needs to take that midrange.
yes, I agree
If this team could put together even a 8-0 run, they’d be back in this game. No flow or rhythm to this team whatsoever right now.
doesn’t help that the Mavs have been making everything all night
Yep, that’s certainly true. It’s been a mix of things, really. For all that’s gone wrong, the Kings are only down 14. There’s still a shot at winning the game…although you’re going to have to an amazing job on Kyrie down the stretch if you do. Nobody’s betting on that.
Kayte’s points aren’t long enough I want five possessions at minimum.
If TD gets hot, the Kings have a much better shot at getting back into it.
Dallas has gotten all the breaks and bounces tonight, it feels like.
Yup, the second we got a little momentum, Javale McGee became a paint god
Don’t disrespect Javale, he’s a better player than you think
Great, now Malik’s down.
Watching Davion come up the court with this dude ????
Never thought I’d say this again in my life but Javale McGee turning back the clock
I wish he’d turn back the clock to his Wizards days and help the Kings a bit.
Watch the Kings win 3 quarters and Lise the game.
Throwing away our improved defensive intensity by chucking threes and making boneheaded passes
Two Fox misses from three in a row. Is that what we want here?
Kings not taking advantage of these opportunities.
it Looks like Reggie bullock has turds in his hair
From several different animals, too
Very sweet move by Fox
Pardon my language, but goodness gracious why can’t they play defense like this for more than just fleeting moments at a time.
Neither the horses nor the energy to do it for 48 minutes. IMO.
I’d be happy with 4 to 8 minutes.
It starts with stops. Keep it going fellas
Fox is in a deep state of Perfectenshlag, for The Office fans out there.
I’ve seen Keegan make 4 x 3s and a couple of 2s yet they have him with 8 points
NBA.com has him at 16.
Anybody else think kyries gonna dash for LA this off-season.
I don’t give a shit…. Wait which LA
good question, most likely lakers
That was not an offensive foul.
I love how smart Keegan is already.
I love the way he’s playing tonight. Even though everything he tries to do doesn’t always work out he’s doing the right things on both ends with a new sense of energy and confidence and I’ll go out on a limb and say strength as well.
I’ve gotten more excited about him as the season has gone on. You can just see how fast he learns; Defense, rebounding, making reads in the offense as a passer, etc.
My guess is he’s gonna add 10-15 lbs of muscle over the next few years and become a 20-8-3 guy like Jerami Grant.
And that 20-8-3 is exactly what this team really needs. He’s better at creating his own shot than Domas is, IMO. That matters a lot.
It’s over.
Fox misses two feee throws then let’s Kyrie get an offensive rebound
Then KH smokes a FT.
Not yet.
too big a margin
they have won before this season after you said that so …
Never! LOL.
Nonetheless, Gallo del Cielo doesn’t especially like our chances.
Kyrie took more than 8 seconds on those free throws.
Just blowing chance after chance to get some momentum with stupid plays.
yeah – when the Kings had the chance to cut it down, they missed open shots, free throws and had turnovers and offensive fouls
If they hadn’t let them drop almost 50 in the 1st, we’d be in good shape.
Didn’t Kyrie just travel?
Which time?
I was going to say, Kyrie travels a lot.
OMG… Fox on that last full court play.. that was just incredible.
Domas fouls out. Reckon that’ll do it
That and trading baskets for the last two quarters…and not taking advantage of the opportunities.
Kings are terrible at trapping ????
I thought there was a clear path foul on Red Velvet in the first half when he threw it down a dunk but..didn’t quit
Pardon my language – fuck you, refs. Obvious agenda by the NBA against the Kings, as always shown in the last 2 minute report.
Well don’t let the opponent throw down 50 in the first quarter.
LOL. You can’t pin that one on the refs.
until a late flurry of take fouls, we had 34 FTs and they 18.
We shat the bed all by ourselves.
45-27-27-21
Points by qtr for Dallas.
So first quarter points matter, too?
Yep. They all matter, last I checked. LOL
Jaden Hardy came into the game as a 28% 3pt shooter and he hit 4-5 in this game. Felt like Dallas got really lucky at times when the Kings weren’t shooting themselves in the foot. It was just a combination of things, really.
We hear a bit too often that [random bench player] got unexpectedly hot against the Kings.
I suspect our lack of D may have something to do with that.
Several of Hardy’s 3’s were contested. It’s a combination of things really.
The other point is that this run actually happened when Fox was on the bench and when Sabonis was on the floor. It was 19-13 Dallas when Fox left, and 35-19 Dallas when Fox returned.
The bench was absolutely out-played tonight aided by some incredible luck for Dallas (Hardy and McGee).
And, it really was when Wood and Hardy came into the game, too. The Mavs were up 19-17 with 5:15 to go in the 1st.
Wood scores all of his 13 pts, Hardy hits that stepback 3 to end the quarter. As bad as the outcome is, I’m not incredibly mad about it. It felt just as unlucky as it was poor play on the Kings part. They did plenty right to win the game.
A tale of two benches…. wtf?
Kings have got to stop coming out flat to start games. Outscored the Mavs in the 2nd/3rd/4th quarters but didn’t matter because of how poorly they came out in that 1st
How come Mo and Matt aren’t in front of the fans on the ground floor?
