Lots of Maverick’s regulars out. Plan should probably be to double or trap Luka to get the ball out of his hands and make someone hit a shot. Can’t just let him be open and shoot shoot shoot.
Helps us get into our offense quicker. I get where you’re coming from though, it’s pretty aggravating to see him drive into traffic and get it stripped by a guard 5 times a game
Well it means he’s the one who grabbed the rebound which allows 4 guys to get out in transition and leads to quick looks and sometimes coast to coast buckets. It’s kinda the rare thing from him among NBA centers that allows us to build our offense around him.
I don’t believe we’ll lose this game because it is my deeply held belief that the Mavericks stink and are one Slovenian away from being the Detroit pistons but older

I guess that’s one way to hold Luka under 50… just have Keegan block every one of his shots!

Mavs’ commentating crew has been very complimentary about the Kings, from Keegan’s defense to the footwork of Domas to the great chemistry between Domas and Monk in their two-man game.
Good way to end the half. Holding Dallas to under 50 and stopping that little Dallas run. Keep it up…you know the Mavs are tired from yesterday so go wear them out and get the win.
Only time Luka felt comfortable on offense was when Mitchell was on him. Avoid that matchup in 2nd half and push to extend this lead. I was on board for trading Barnes, Huerter, Mitchell, and picks a few games ago. Now I’d be okay with trading Mitchell and picks for a defensive wing like Finney Smith or a better backup PG like Caruso or Tyus Jones.
Kings need a backup PG just as much as they need a defensive oriented wing, maybe even moreso. If Monk or Mitchell could just run the offense without sparking runs for the other team with live ball turnovers the Kings would have at least 3 more wins than they do now.

Seems like the extra rest between games lately has rejuvenated Fox.
Monk needs to tone it down. Loose handle, bad passes, out of control, getting blown by defensively, and helping when he doesn’t need to and leaves his man open in the corner.
No it’s not. He picks up dumb fouls every game. Doesn’t hedge properly or close out well. Worthless at the rim. Caught in no man’s land constantly. Etc.
He switches well, is always communicating, always is in the right position, stays vertical, works extremely hard, and always secures rebounds. Most defensive statistics say he’s an average, if not good defensive center. He doesn’t have the length and athleticism as McGee to get highlight blocks, but he’s about as smart and reliable of a defender as you could ask. He also is constantly covering for the mistakes of the perimeter defense.
Another question. Why does De’Aaron feel like he is obligated to shoot the final shot in a quarter? He doesn’t seem to have a very good percentage in such situations, and you would think there has to be someone open once in a while.
They just completely forget what they’ve been doing all night in the final minutes. Fox winning clutch player of the year may have been the worst thing to have happened this offseason – we just go to ISO ball rather than play our game.
Jesus, that game did not have to be that stressful. Of course a win is a win, but god damn, they were giving Dallas every opportunity to come back and win.
When up 20+ in the 4th the only way for teams to get back in games is the 3 point line. Just don’t understand how shooters are wide open from the corners every possession. Monk is a huge part of the problem. So volatile. Needed to win and did, but again, Mavs were down multiple key players. Won’t happen vs better teams in the West. Got to keep winning. On to the next. Trade still needed.
Looking ahead, the Grizzlies will also be on a SEGABABA when we play them, as will the Pacers when we go to Indy. That’s 4 games out of this 7 game trip where our opponents will be playing on zero days rest. We only have the Bulls game where that’s true for us.

And make him play defense so he can’t rest on that end of the court.
Need a Kings fan to yell at him from the stands!
Throw a $100 off coupon for a treadmill
Three in a row. Go Kings!
OT: Dave Joerger spotted with Doc Rivers watching the Bucks!
Barnes Linsanity run is over.
I may have spoken too soon
Is there one good reason or benefit that is realized when Sabonis insists on dribbling up the court?
Helps us get into our offense quicker. I get where you’re coming from though, it’s pretty aggravating to see him drive into traffic and get it stripped by a guard 5 times a game

So why aren’t they trying to get the ball out of Luka’s hands? Press him and make his out of shape ass work
I don’t believe we’ll lose this game because it is my deeply held belief that the Mavericks stink and are one Slovenian away from being the Detroit pistons but older
Doncic asking for a time out because he’s tired in the first quarter
Mitchell never puts back to back solid games together.
Is it me or has Mitchell’s defense regressed significantly. I’ve never seen him get blown by so consistently.
Good final defensive possession, already got Luka whining. Tech by halftime, ejection by midway through the 4th!
Every missed shot by Luka is a complaint to the ref for a no-call.
I wonder if Dallas fans get tired of all his bitching. I know I would.
Gotta go see a show, I’ll be stressing over the box score. Go Kings!
If they keep playing like this, there’s nothing to worry about.
What up folks? Happy Saturday to you! Let’s go Kings!

Wow it worked! But I went ahead and resubscribed to Cornrows. I’m a ride or die now.
Great work on the final possession of the quarter. Made Luka work hard to chuck up a prayer.
It’s crazy how much this team needs Luka to singlehandedly defeat entire NBA teams. Perhaps not as crazy as the fact that he does so regularly.
Great. Luka will now complain about calls even more after scoring 73. He’s a real annoying watch.
They gotta make Luka work more, even just taking the ball up court. Played 44 minutes last jight and isn’t in great shape.
Murray has blocked Luka 2-3 times already lol ????
Keegan with great D on bitchie Luka!
I guess that’s one way to hold Luka under 50… just have Keegan block every one of his shots!
Mavs’ commentating crew has been very complimentary about the Kings, from Keegan’s defense to the footwork of Domas to the great chemistry between Domas and Monk in their two-man game.
Could see that T coming from a mile away. Luka is just something.
Was it Keegan or the ref that Treadmill just called “motherfucker” right before the commercial break?
Funny stuff.
Williams travel right in front of an apparently blind ref.
Williams with the hippity hop and then some. lol.
Keegan is a totally different player from last year. He has a swagger and aggression now that I’ve never seen before. He knows he belongs.
Keegan’s defense impresses more and more each game.
Murray’s defensive game is getting better with every game.
Keegan dunks, then gets to the FT line, then draws a charge.
I LOVE THIS KID!!!
Keegan is absolutely clamping Luka wtf
Against some teams, the Kings can simply choose whether the game will be competitive or not, depending on how much effort they put into it.
The Kings are trying, so they’re up 13, and it doesn’t look difficult for them, either.
I wonder how much Luka’s weight seesaws from beginning to end of an NBA season.
All you have to do is run against the Dallas Chonks. They take twice as long to convert.
Ref called that foul and they couldn’t even see Fox’s hands and yep not a foul.
I wonder if Luka complains about imaginary fouls in his sleep.
Somebody needs to pick up Hardaway.
Fox posts up, then goes glass. That’s new.
Fox is doing whatever he wants tonight
Mavs commentators: That’s a shame.
Color: Just a step slow tonight.
Play by play: And another block by Sacramento.
Luka may have strained his neck with the head flopping.
Good lord, how was that a foul on Huerter?
Halftime thoughts: Keegan must have been so proud when his son scored 73
Good way to end the half. Holding Dallas to under 50 and stopping that little Dallas run. Keep it up…you know the Mavs are tired from yesterday so go wear them out and get the win.
“A rare miss, he’s only missed five times.” – Mark Jones on Fox’s last shot there to end the quarter. Wut?
I guess you don’t think 10 for 15 in the half is noteworthy.
Kings average four blocks a game. In the first half, they have nine.
Kings have 9 blocks. When’s the last time we did that. And it’s only half time.
Big change of perspective after just a few games!
Nice start!
Kings are to Mavs, what Pels are to Kings.
Keegan evolving into an all around player on both ends of the court. What a great acquisition.
Blocked Luka twice in one possession late in the first half. Lovely.
Can’t believe Kidd played Luka 22 minutes in the first half after 45 minutes last night.
Hes all they’ve got
Cmon Kings just gave up an 8-0 run.
Correction 13-1. Damn.
Good challenge
As Jerry Reynolds might say, Fox has some shitbird in him. He’s not afraid of confrontation and he enjoys messing up your day.
HB is a new man!
They are calling low post iso plays for him, among other reasons, with Domas staying in the high post and charging the backboards with HB shot.
Very nice! I like!
Such beautiful basketball the past 3 minutes. Really nice ball movement and lockdown defense.
Another right hand basket by the “Zero
Calorie Sabonis”.
Along with complaining until he gets foul calls, Luka also travels quite a bit without getting whistled
Kings bench is absent again.
Monk showing why he’s a bench player tonight.
Monk is out of control.
Monk is an absolutely terrible decision maker 60% of the time.
Monk has had a mediocre couple of games
Richaun Holmes sighting
Very light contribution from the Kings bench tonight scoring wise, but with how well the starters have been playing, they don’t really need it.
Edwards looking tough!
It has rejuvenated all of us, really, especially Miller’s cornrows.
One more quarter to go. Let’s keep up this play and finish the job.
Don’t let these guys back in the game.
Mavs’ commentators are talking about their favorite foods to find at the state fair, so they’re waving the white flag.
Does monk ever make a normal pass? It seems to be over the top when that’s not needed.
Monk faked the P and R and drove down and passed to HB. That was sweet!
Malik means “king” in Arabic alert. LOL
If the Kings had a player named Reyes, would Mark Jones be as informative?
C’mon Monk, stop turning it over.
Damn Monk, get him out of there.
Monk needs to tone it down. Loose handle, bad passes, out of control, getting blown by defensively, and helping when he doesn’t need to and leaves his man open in the corner.
What game is Mark Jones watching?
Domas might be the worst C in the league on defense
False
No it’s not. He picks up dumb fouls every game. Doesn’t hedge properly or close out well. Worthless at the rim. Caught in no man’s land constantly. Etc.
Difference between worst in the league and not good.
Fair. But he just gets too many dumb fouls.
Yeah, sure. He is far from a smart defender. He fouls out way too often.
He does get a few offensive fouls, mainly moving screens or running through defenders, lol. Bulls them over
What in the Air ball F%$5$ was that?
Barely hit net
Two challenge wins for Coach Brown tonight!
Probably losing this challenge
Dubs Lakers going down to the wire
Curry juked AD!
Back to Kings game
Please don’t blow this game. I’m having flashbacks to when we blew it against Phoenix.
Another question. Why does De’Aaron feel like he is obligated to shoot the final shot in a quarter? He doesn’t seem to have a very good percentage in such situations, and you would think there has to be someone open once in a while.
Why are the kings so bad at leaving the corner 3 open?
Oh no, not again.
No ball movement
STOP LEAVING THREE POINT SHOOTERS OPEN!!!!
Kings are atrocious at closing out games. Completely unacceptable.
Just goes straight to iso-ball.
Timely bucket by Fox
Make your free throws and we’re good.
Mavs made it interesting, but they’re cooked now.
Oh Kings, why can’t we just put this away without making stupid mistakes this late….
They just completely forget what they’ve been doing all night in the final minutes. Fox winning clutch player of the year may have been the worst thing to have happened this offseason – we just go to ISO ball rather than play our game.
Should have been a foul called. Sheesh
Grant Williams is getting a bit too touchy feely with Fox.
Of course Luka hits a 3 after all that talk about him not hitting one. Anyone else having PHX PTSD?
Fox is so disrespected by the refs it’s freaking silly.
Now PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE just make your damn free throws.
Non clutch monk
When he missed the first one I just knew that second one wasn’t going in.
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME????????????
Wtf?!?!?!?!
Monk has forgotten how to shoot FTs
Again…this is why Monk is a bench player.
Monk needs a mental game coach. Dude is in head.
He’s either on fire or burning down the house in his head.
Monk officially has the yips. Chuck Knoblauch level yips.
Yikes
Wtf
Stop playing Monk in late moments. Like wtf are you doing?
Especially when he’s not on.
Something about 22 point leads……
There was no reason for all the pass around that last possession. Just had to hold it.
Why so many Kangz moments this year
I feel like I’ve seen this film before…like the past 4 games in the fourth quarter on repeat.
At least it’s more like last year. LOL
Please don’t airball another free throw, Harrison.
Great…threw it to the man who airballed a fucking free throw
Luka for the buzzer beater no chance to win brick!
Thank you HB.
I’ll take it, but the Kings need to be better in the fourth and stop giving up. This isn’t going to fly in the playoffs.
Nice win. Go Kings
Jesus, that game did not have to be that stressful. Of course a win is a win, but god damn, they were giving Dallas every opportunity to come back and win.
It’s a bad trend. First the blowout losses, now the “giving away the lead late”.
Corner defenders sag too far to the paint to help, which always leaves the corner shooter open. It happens on almost every drive against the Kings
OT: Lakers and Warriors going into double overtime, 130-130. Crazy.
Looking ahead, the Grizzlies will also be on a SEGABABA when we play them, as will the Pacers when we go to Indy. That’s 4 games out of this 7 game trip where our opponents will be playing on zero days rest. We only have the Bulls game where that’s true for us.
