Update: 4:45 pm
The Sacramento Kings defeated the Dallas Mavericks at home Saturday 113-107. The Kings racked up 32 assists and only had 11 turnovers. Sacramento forced Dallas into 21 turnovers and scored 28 points off those turnovers.
Keon Ellis started and finished with 21 points, 3 steals and 2 blocks in 32 minutes. Not bad, not bad. Russell Westbrook finished with 21 points, 9 assists and 5 rebounds. Maxime Raynaud had 19 points and 6 rebounds in 27 minutes. Nique Clifford scored 8 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in 20 minutes off the bench. Doug McDermott played 19 minutes and had 9 points and 3 rebounds. Dylan Cardwell provided great energy off the bench and had 8 rebounds, 4 points, 3 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal.

From Earlier Preview:
Everybody’s favorite basketball team is back in action tonight following a short break for the holidays. Let’s get to it.
Who: Sacramento Kings (7-23) vs. Dallas Mavericks (12-20)
Where: Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, CA
When: 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET
Watch: NBCSCA / League Pass
Keegan Murray sustained a mild calf strain in Sacramento’s loss to the Pistons on Tuesday. He will be reevaluated in one week, but for our purposes here, he’ll be missing todays game against the Mavericks along with Drew Eubanks, Zach LaVine, and Domantas Sabonis.
Between Murray, LaVine, and Sabonis, Christie is missing his three best players right now. And for a Kings team that already has the worst record in the Western Conference, that is bad news. Or good news, depending on what you care about.
At 7-23, Sacramento is just one win ahead of both the Pacers (6-25) and the Wizards (6-23) for the worst record in the league. The tank is firing on all cylinders.
At 12-20, the Mavericks aren’t much better, and their injury report is just as spooky. Kyrie Irving is out. Dereck Lively is out. Anthony Davis is questionable.
A loss is more beneficial than a win for both teams, so, enjoy the Saturday slop fest.
Prediction: Kings 115, Mavericks 109.

Imma watch. I know they’re going to lose, but I hope they win, but I hope they lose, but play well. I hope the younguns show some flashes. Just like all the previous years but one. I need a meeting. Sheesh.
Though the start to his season was rough,
He’s now showing he has the right stuff.
While the Mavs raise their Flagg,
We continue to lag.
Time to shove Vivek out on his duff!
+1 Challenge Flagg!
I read this morning that the Hawks have serious interest in acquiring AD, and it does not involve giving up Tre, but rather Risacher. What the hell are they thinking?
That would be ridiculous. The Hawks need to go rebuild if anything which means move Trae and be happy with a high draft pick this year.
Texas teams do well in the lottery. We need to learn how to do so.
Everything’s bigger in Texas, including luck, apparently.
And franchise altering big men.
Hakeem, Robinson, Duncan, Dirk, Yao, and Wemby. It’s kind of wild when you think about it. How many generational big men have been drafted to Cali teams? It feels like we are a guard state.
Boogie could have been one if he hadn’t been such a headcase.
Not a Pervis fan then 😉
Looking forward to watching Kings rookies and Cooper Flagg. We need one of those Flagg type rookies .
All of these games right now are important, it’s a close race with a lot of season left to go. We’re one win out of 1st/2nd place but only 2 wins ahead of 5th/6th place. We need to minimize those wins! Let’s hope Deebo has a quiet game tonight and the ROY has a good one.
Good audition by Keon for his next team I suppose.
It’s so funny that all the “good” decisions by DC are “decisions” that he got forced into.
To our unknowledgeable fanbase,
We the management team like to put on our Friday night music before the game: Montell Jordan’s “This is how we do it” – because it is Friday night, and we feel all-right, and the party is here on the West Side. These good vibes obviously propelled us to a big victory tonight, and showcased we made the right pick with our tall Frenchman with the funny name. We forget how it is pronounced, but it looks like Rayman from the classic video game; so we just call him Rayman.
Tonight’s effort was the new standard and proved this winning streak is for real. We no longer sit in last place in the conference and there is nowhere to go but up! Except, also down – but that would require New Orleans to win. What you don’t understand is that we have solved the formula of winning. Haters will continue to see the purpose and drive of this team – and no trades are necessary. We will dominate with these champions!
If anyone would like to join us in the revelry, we have many empty court-side seats we end up giving to our c-list celebrity friends who cannot find an excuse for somewhere better to be. We would love to have some passionate fans sit with us so we can educate you properly.
Sincerely,
Management
