After beating the Miami Heat in Miami for the second year in a row, the Kings won’t have any time to celebrate: the Orlando Magic await their chance to pull the Kings back down to a paltry .500. This game won’t just be the second night of a back to back for the Kings, it’s the middle game of three contests in four nights. For a team that has been lauded around the league for wearing teams out in second halves with their speed and high pace, the Kings might need to rely on what has been one of the weaker aspects so far this season; the bench!

 The Happiest Place on Earth: It’s a bit strange to consider that the Kings are going to leave the month of October with a record no worse than .500 for the first time in quite possibly forever, and while almost all optimism that I’ve seen is heavily tempered for the eventual fall from grace, it’s nice to once again hear the whispers of something good brewing in the Capital City. Tonight’s contest against the Orlando Magic won’t temper that enthusiasm at all. Coached by Steven Clifford, the Magic are currently the lowest scoring team in the league at a hair over 100 points a game, and give up over 111 points per game. The Kings are going to want to get out and push their pace; the Magic are 26th in that particular area. All of these little things spell out a nice opportunity for the Kings, if they have the wherewithal not to look past the Magic to their match-up on Thursday with the Atlanta Hawks.

The Orlando Magic bring three guys to the table who really have the ability to hurt the Kings tonight. Nikola Vucevic is having a very nice comeback year and is averaging 19.2 points and 10.2 rebounds on 58% shooting from the field. Aaron Gordon, the heart and soul of the Magic franchise for a while now has under performed so far this season and is only averaging 15 points and 8 rebounds a game on 42% field goal shooting. Lastly the Kings have to keep an eye out for Evan “DONT GOOGLE HIS LAST NAME” Fournier, who comes into tonight’s contest in a rut himself: averaging 16.2 points on 39.4% shooting, and only 29% from deep! Two of the Magic three best players are slumping something hard, which puts them at their most dangerous for a team like the Kings. Any moment they can come out of it, and the Kings want to be far ahead when they do.

Tuesday night will also be Kings fans first look at Mo Bamba, whose length and three point shooting stroke gives him a rookie profile unlike any other in the draft. Marvin Bagley might have a rook who wanted his spot at numero dos, so lets see what kind of action those two might create tonight.

Prediction

I’m missing this game, so yeah, Kings will take it like they’ve done 100% of the other times this season.
