Yea ! TNT broadcast . Less mute during game .
Harlan makes like every call like it’s a finals game 7 game winner for his favorite team.
Oh Billy Billy Billy… this is a Biggie.
Zach Charbonnet of the Seattle Seahawks signed to a 10-day contract to play for the Kings tonight against Jalen Brunson.
Knicks have lost three straight.
Randle had season-ending surgery …
Nice of Kevin Harlan to let is know that Keon took the place of Malik Monk.
Every other Tiktok in my feed these days has some chucklehead predicting that the Knicks are going to win it all.
I can’t swipe away the idiocy fast enough.
This almost makes we want to support a TikTok ban
These Knicks look stinky.
Or are the Kings just playing the best basketball of the season right now?
I had that meme of that Asian or Hispanic girl shrugging and saying, “Why can’t we have both?” but I had a brainfart about posting it.
And there is it anyway lol
Okie dokey then.
Neon Keon is ready for Primetime and the Big Apple! Let goooo…
Keon looking like an absolute stud right now
Looking to outscore Malachi Flynn!
I was gonna work on my side by side tonight but after checking the score had to watch.
It’s funny how our doomers doom. This season, it started with “The Kings can’t win a SEGABABA,” till they did, then it was a half-dozen other things–you all know, you were here for it–but the latest one is “The Kings play like ass on nationally televised games.”
If the Kings win tonight, let’s see what they doom about next.
doubling Brunson at half court is not working.
and they did it again. dude, the Knicks look like they want that double team there …
Davion feeling it. D and O
Wow Kings with suffocating defense. What is happening
Would’ve loved that 3 from Fox’s there.
“15 points means almost nothing”but it’s 15 points more than the other guys. Let’s keep up that defensive intensity.
Great quarter.
Keon gets a lot of credit for the leap in team defense, and deservedly so, but guys like Fox, Lyles, and Len have really stepped up the defensive intensity. These guys are playing on a string and absolutely SWARMING the Knicks right now.
You ain’t lying. And I agree with your other point too.
The Kings are peaking right now, and it has happened through defense.
Several of us said in previous months we don’t need Monk O but we need more D. Could be start of something exciting
Sasha is a smart player but I feel like he is not being aggressive and shooting as much as he should could…. We are going to need him confident going into the playoffs. it also seems like Fox never looks for him, and I think part of it because he’s been passing up shots
Agree. I wanted him to sling that s*** in the two man game with Fox so bad.
Len is a joy to watch. I love that the Kings have that Ukrainian on the squad.
I have always liked him and I wish he would’ve gotten more run last year
Knicks may as well head in for halftime now.
Aggressive. Davion is a good Davion., I’m glad he’s looking for his shot
One of the most consistent joys in life is seeing the Knicks lose at Madison Square Garden.
I love New York City, but the disappointment of a Knicks fan comes second only to a Lakers fan.
That Vezenkov air ball was the best air ball I’ve ever seen. Looked good until the very end. Keep shooting!
The first one or the second one?
Sasha is way off today.
is the pick n pop something new for him?
And he had a facial tic and seemed to be talking to himself.
Not the most confident look.
nice cut by Keegan
We’re lucky it worked out with Keon, but always found it baffling that we let DiVincenzo walk for nothing.
when they signed Monk that offseason, I think that explained it.
Refs are about to let this game get real physical. That was a foul on Brunson.
Aggressive double teams, quicker recovery, the occasional zone defense, far better point-of-attack defense.
Credit to the coaching staff for all of that.
Anyone know who the Knicks are playing tonight? Not sure the broadcast crew has mentioned it yet.
And, I have been checking the obituaries in the NYT because I believe Monk may have passed.
Not even a single mention of his name and his importance to the Kings.
They did mention Keon having replaced him in the lineup at the top of the game.
NBA should just do away with charges. They seldom call them anymore.
I didn’t know that TNT stood for The Nicks Talk
So, the Kings came with a clear defensive strategy. Aggressive trapping of Brunson.
Not saying that Thibs is the most over-rated coach in the NBA, but I wonder when the Knicks are going to think about making an adjustment.
Knicks ain’t worried about the double team on Brunson at half court …
And that’s the problem.
Hopefully, they continue not worrying about it.
eh, the Knicks are carving it up
*Checks scoreboard, checks box score, immediately gets confused*
this is playoff intensity basketball right now and the Kings are not shying away
Fxxk throw blues
Man that Knick ft defense…
Annnnd *checks watch* Davion forces an offensive foul with that screen right on schedule.
It’s become very clear that he needs to specialize in covering the shiftiest and craftiest small guards in the leage. JB, Steph, Kyrie, etc. Nobody else in the league frustrates those guys like he does.
Gotta get these FT under control.. ugh ????
Apparently VanGundy was told there would be no math, as 16+16 now equal 34
Gotta say, the halftime analysis starting with Fox was great, and then Shaq’s take on Sabonis was as braindead as usual.
De’andre Fox?
That’s Shaq, naturally, and they just called him out on it.
I don’t know how Shaq ever gets on TV.
He doesn’t enunciate worth a damn.
Get more shots up Keegs!
Thibs’ perpetual strategy is to try to play his best players for as close to 48 minutes as possible.
Hartenstein got mugged! No call. I love it.
Keegan straight up shoved him lol
didn’t the Kings have a nice lead on the Knicks in the 2nd half of last game …
Harlan is so damn good at his job.
Agree to disagree. Rough to listen to a crew completely ignoring one team.
It’s too bad you missed the halftime show.
I saw it. Good to see them give props to De’andre Fox while saying Sabonis wasn’t playing hard enough.
We must be watching different games.
He gives that feeling to everyone.
Where is Len?
gotta protect the ball. Knicks trying to get going with scrappy play, swiping the ball in the paint, knocking bodies around and fast break.
DHO seems to take forever
Bigger bruiser – Boogie or Domas?
Vonzonkov? LOL
TNT “greatness”
Harlan.
this game is a slugfest
Fox with his pateneted sloppy passing.
So glad Lyles is back
Trey Lyles put up no resistance on the Josh Hart layup.
Kings losing composure. Settling for deep shots, getting sped up by Knicks defense. Very similar to last game.
Tale as old as time.
yeah, Knicks have become the aggressors – same as their last matchup around this time – and the Kings? still trying to learn how to play in a physical play-off type atmosphere.
Let’s go Keegan 4th. We need you
If close, I don’t think we’ll see him until 4-5 minutes left in 4th.
Wow he’s back
Hope he gets more shots. 3 or drive to rim
Domas 11-7-6 heading into the fourth.
Tie score heading into the fourth quarter.
How many points will the Kings win by?
7
Sounds good. I’m going to go with 7 as well.
These Knicks can’t handle playoff-intensity basketball.
Thibodeau’s career playoff record: .431.
He’s a regular-season coach.
Kings playing scared, Knicks playing to win.
They gotta stop doubling Brunson. They’re playing 3v4 every time he makes the right pass, which is always.
Trust Davion.
Some BS calls going the Knicks way
These guys have been beating the hell out of each other all game and now suddenly the refs wanna call ticky-tack nonsense
Blitz ain’t working MB.
momentum-wise, this game is torture
Knicks have been winning for the entire 2nd half
This game was there for the taking, but in true Kings fashion, they went into cruise control and pissed away the win.
Kings missing lots of wide open shots.
It’s over.
Knicks own the Kings
The Kings merely adopted physicality. The Knicks were born in it, molded by it.
Larry David sighting.
just chucking threes jfc
Mike Brown’s entire offensive scheme.
Do we lead the league with most 20 point leads given away?
of all challenges that one took that long?!
Live and die by the three and this is what happens when you go cold unfortunately.
Yep. I think that the vast majority of the Kings threes were wide open.
Didn’t fall.
It happens.
dude, 5 minutes left – will the Kings get aggressive or go out like chumps?
Gotta play defense and make those open 3s
Yeah, the Kings have missed a half-dozen wide open threes in the fourth.
The story is as simple as that.
Kings have only taken 10 free throws. Knicks – 23
But we’re chucking 3s
Isn’t that the main idea?
1st play – HB gets the ball stolen from him
0 pts, 1 board, 3 TOs!
With Monk and Huerter out, this team is gonna have a tough time winning when HB goes missing.
Death, taxes, and the Kings shitting the bed on national TV
There it is! Everybody drink.
No, you’re right. We’re on the verge of a comeback win….
The drinking game is that everyone does a shot when a doomer complains about the Kings losing on national TV.
Whether we are ahead or behind at the half we would all be drunk off our butts
I apologize. Let me try that again. Great game by the Kings, they really played great tonight.
We all already know what you’re going to say, that’s all.
By all means, keep saying it.
The drinking games must continue.
On the bright side, at least I’m as predictable as the team, I suppose.
Seems like every time in the past 3 or 4 weeks when the kings have a chance to get in to that 5th or 6th seed, they have one of these types of games
I mean c’mon, you’re letting professional basketball players take wide open 6 footers every time you blitz Brunson. Wtf do you think is gonna happen?
And he’s still got 32! You’re giving his teammates easy shots and not even slowing him down!
Double Brunson, hart gets deep in the paint, bucket. Rinse, repeat
Kings outscored by 7 in the 2nd, 8 in the 3rd, and now 12 in the 4th. Villanova beat the Kings tonight.
Out coached. MB keeping his Brunson double
I don’t about out coached tonight. Turnovers and cold 3point shooting.
Yep. If the fourth-quarter threes fall instead of the cold streak, everyone is talking about how MB outcoached Thibs with his trapping scheme.
A good coach has a backup plan to make adjustments. We have Mike Brown.
I agree. The Kings would be far better if we had last year’s unanimous coach of the year instead.
Probably not. He wasn’t making adjustments last year either. However, he had the fact that nobody was prepared for it. Until the playoffs that is…and we saw how that went.
Agreed. In-game adjustments are MB’s achilles heel. He is too stubborn with his gameplan. Kerr coached circles around him in the series last year. Thibs smoked him after the first quarter tonight.
With all due respect, that is incorrect. The whole league knew how the Kings played after 20 games last year. Their O and D was schemed for by that point in time. The NBA does not get surprised for too long. To suggest that an NBA team was not prepared for the Kings in an 82 game season is a little beyond the reality of the talent in the NBA
Common occurance this season.
10 straight made baskets.
Lol, I was told the Kings had finally figured out their defense.
Brunson is who Fox thinks he is
From up 21 to down 14. Boston tomorrow. Yikes.
play-in team
For one game, anyhow.
Up by 20 to a blowout. Hope Monte is satisfied with the one and out as a 9th or 10th seed he built.
Why do the Kings coaches have such a hard time making adjustments defensively? The entire quarter doubling Brunson has been a nightmare, but the strategy remains the same.
The staff needs to add coaches who have a proven reputation for coaching up defense. We don’t have that currently.
Kings stopped being aggressors – entire 2nd half. It was such a drastic shift in energy from one half to the other.
They got gassed. Thibs runs the Knicks into the floor on defense every damn day. They are built for this.
death, taxes and fox is inefficient (11-26, 1 turnover)
Not to mention Sabonis’ lack of impact against mid bigs.
Nah, Sabonis was playing 3v1 in the paint every time he touched the ball. The problem is the Kings have no plan once he’s taken out of the game.
Sabonis also had no plan. He’s allowed to have poor games like this, but this offseason he needs to work on a plan B other than continuing to try to bully through the triple team.
Unfortunately, tonight is going to look like a tremendous team effort when compared to the hammering we take tomorrow.
First quarter had me convinced that we were on to something. What a sucker.
Lucy pulled the football, yet again.
21 point lead at one point and lose by 11. Sigh.
Tomorrow’s pretty much going to be a loss. I’m not optimistic about how this road trip is going to go.
At this point, I’ve made my peace with it. So I’m just looking for 1 more win this season. Everything else is gravy.
So I tuned in for the 4th quarter Kings losing the foul game to NYK by over double. Was it crappy reffing or Kings not taking it to the hole?
Don’t collapse against Milwaukee, Phoenix and Chicago, take care of business against Charlotte, Portland, Washington and Detroit and we are all shrugging our shoulders from the 4th seed right now.
“Take care of business”
That’s something this team doesn’t do.
How many guards are better than Fox now? Seems like the Kings play a team almost daily with one. Brunson tonight, Tatum tomorrow, Doncic and Irving last week.
I meant Brown.
Well……….that seems simple enough
Fox needs another scoring star to help him out. I refuse to blame Fox. Sabonis is not a scorer. Where was Barnes tonight? This team is locked into the play in and most likely will be eliminated and not make the playoffs.
i guess there’s no time like the present to start another record streak of years without a playoff appearance…
