Looks like they got a steal in Markannen, too. Sexton is also a fine piece for them to either build around or sell to a contender. Ainge has done a terrific job being stubborn as ever on all trades. He has a roster of young, cost controlled talent, tons of picks, and valuable veterans ready to ship. Great position.

I firmly believe this team is at its best when the bench is clicking. One or two starters may disappear, but when an engaged bench brings it, the opposition has a hard time recovering from the onslaught at both ends.
They can definitely improve, but I like knowing you may have TD or Malik go off for 30, or Mari or Davion carry them through a stretch. Not to mention the defensive intensity we see in spades.

Honestly he hasn’t been given a fair shot to play the back up cemetery role.
I disagree. Coach needed results and played his best guys. Holmes simply didn’t know where he should be offensively nor defensively to start the season, and maybe the coaching staff didn’t either. Now he’s caught up with the system, and the staff is giving him his opportunity.
This is just good, meritorious coaching imo. If he can look this comfortable in the backup role, idk why he can’t still be a rotation player here.
It also makes trading him to a team that was thinking he was completely washed up easier, too. There’s lots of benefits to him playing well.

It’s been great to see his 3PT shot being automatic again after a bit of a rut.
Part of the game where your stars carry you to the W. Domas and Fox both delivering on those last few possessions. Just play sound defense and keep riding your studs to the finish line

This is the second Kings win in a row that you’ve called a loss, so you’re on a streak.
Guerrero hits some big shots for them, even on nights when he’s not shooting well. But I feel he tends to shoot it too much near the end of games. Seems like Sabonis should be getting some of those shots

Fox’s rebounding efforts against Markennan when the Kings had three offensive rebounds was a critical play as the next King’s shot was Huerter’s winner. Give me that kind of “fail” any day.
he also brick city’d that same exact shot, not to mention the shot before that, so he should be fighting his ass off to get the ball back. That’s usually an easy shot for him and it was shorter than a midget

They blew it last week but they salvaged the homestand with these last 2 wins. Was hoping for 4-2 at worst or 5-1 considering their opponents, but after starting 1-3, I’ll take 3-3. Even better is they won vs the Jazz, a team who may or may not be a threat for one of those 7-10 spots. Huge for tiebreaker scenarios

Michael Mack wrote a short, simple and impactful comment in the last post game thread. In essence he noted that he looks at the Standings the next day and there are only two columns in Standings. Wins and losses.
By far, by far, the most important column is the loss column. At any point in the season you may trail other teams in “winning percentage” who have several more wins because they have played more games than your favorite team, and yet a team may only trail in the loss column by a single game. Players in all sports always look at the Loss column first.
Kings are in great shape in that regard so far this season.
What a fun game to watch.

Domas 28 points on 100% FG% is the most by a Kings player since 1978, and he’s doing this with a broken friggin thumb
Holy shit, Kings are now in 2nd in their division. I had not even paid attention to how much Phoenix has been struggling. Booker still out for about a month too right?
Really fortunate that the hand injury is something that Domas can play through. West is such a clusterfuck that you just cant afford having your stars missing chunks of time or it’ll bury you.
I think the best game Phoenix has played since October was in Sacramento in that late November game. Seriously.
