Last season (October 2022) in Charlotte, the Kings rallied from a 15-point halftime deficit to win by six.
The Hornets play the Kings pretty well.
In December of 2022, Charlotte came into Sacramento and won by seven.
With all of that said, I’d be stunned if the Kings don’t win this one by at least 15.

Lookin like Brown wants somebody to do a better job of limiting Rozier. Him and Bridges are the Hornets only scoring options with everybody else out and yet they were able to combine for 18 of the Hornets 25 points in that 1st quarter. Rozier with 10 alone

Kings seem to be taking this win for granted, as if they just need to put together one quarter of good basketball.

“Hornets aren’t a good 3PT shooting team” so naturally they’re shooting 44% from 3PT so far because of course they are.
Kings shots not falling, Hornets making shots they normally don’t, and the lead is swinging back and forth. Good sign.

The Hornets used like 80 percent of their remaining energy after last night’s game to try to keep the game tied midway through the second quarter lol.
Pretty soon their threes will start clanging off the front of the rim.
The Hornets were tied 49 – 49 with Denver at the half last night. The Nuggets outscored them 40 – 17 in the third quarter to put the game away. Looking for something similar to happen tonight.
Both the Kings and the Hornets finish the half shooting 38.1% from the 3. What do you think the Hornets are going to be shooting as we get into the 3rd qtr? BTW I hope you’re right
They’re on a SEGABABA, so if it was even money that the Hornets would shoot lower than 38.1% from three in the second half, I would happily bet on that.
But they’re got bigger issues than that, imo.

Yeah, Fox is 2 for 11 now. If he keeps shooting threes instead of adjusting and driving to the hoop more, that’ll be disappointing.

I don’t know whether I like Duarte in the starting lineup more than I like Huerter in the second lineup, but so far this season it’s my favorite Brown decision.

Yeah. Kings played pretty badly, Fox didn’t hit a shot and had 1 point until around the 4-5 minute mark of the 2nd quarter, and the Kings are still up 5. Time to put this thing out of reach in the 2nd half

The broadcast team sure pushed the narrative that CHA is a bad third quarter team. Stats that support this narrative go out the window when you let them get hot in the first half and take the game for granted. This just shows how lackadaisical and care free the Kings are.

They do. I made a bad mistake right before the season started and got in a pissing contest with Xfinity and cancelled my subscription. Been getting used to following the G-man. Dumbest thing I’ve done in recent memory. Got ESPN’s box score, the G-man and the game thread going.

Only two of those four players is a center. It’s no guarantee, but it’s highly likely that Jokic and Domas will be All-Star centers this year.
He may or may not get in. Jokic, Sengun, KAT 50/40/90 5th in Defensive win Shares, Durant, Kawhi, Lebron, etc. He deserves but it’s not automatic.

Keegan had that disengaged look all night. Watching the ball rather then getting it-loose boards etc
He deserves to be benched as much as Red Velvet does. The difference would be that, if Vezenkov or Lyles cannot fill Keegan’s offensive role, then Keegan can earn some minutes back. He gets blocked at the rim and doesn’t seem to want the ball in his hands. His demeanor is very neutral and lacks intensity. I am now quite worried about him and this team after a low-level East team out hustled them. Maybe we need Barnes on the bench and Monk starting so that we can start the first half with better leads. It’s that or reducing Keegan’s minutes when he’s in a funk with low energy.
I am by now means putting this horrible loss on Keegan, but 4th quarter just pissed me off. I see this as the Domantas and Fox show, where Domantas has to do too much work and turns the ball over way too much in the process. Fox has to take 3 point shots and take over in most quarters, while the rest of the team does little to nothing. I am even saying that Duarte is improving on defense and offense more than the rest of the team, and deserves more as many minutes as Keegan until he get his game right. Holy crap!!
