I’m a huge Keegan Murray fan boy and if anybody paid attention prior to draft I was all in. I’m a ecstatic with the way he’s playing but been trying to figure out why his rebounds are so low. I didn’t expect him to be at 8 or 9 but I figured he’d be closer to seven. I’m trying and the only thing I can think of is offensively they have him playing pretty far from the basket which will limit offensive rebounds and I think it’s the style of switching defense and help defense the kings do…
Pretty much this. Domas does most of the rebounding and it’s up to everyone else to leak out for the outlet pass. If he were posted around the basket he’d probably get more rebounds but he wouldn’t be optimized as a transition/shooting threat.
Kings so much more fun to watch when a PG moves the ball around, gets others involved. We have shooters. Hope Fox is paying attention. And the team also takes on more of a defensive identity with both Davion and Delly — they inspire through effort. Though I will give Fox credit for working more on his defense at times this year.
He’s been a great scorer and done better w/shooting. But when one player basically takes the score first mentality an entire game, the rest of the players get stagnant sitting around watching Fox go at defense. They know he’s not going to pass. But my main issue w/Fox is his uneven effort on D and his terrible decision-making, especially at the end of games. Very predictable. Look at how everyone gets involved when we move the ball around.
This is a well played game by both teams. Fun to watch. Ball movement is good for the Kings. A lot of effort on D. Competitive. Monk making an argument to be the first off the bench in every game.
Yeah something has been wrong with him for awhile. Like he lost his confidence. He used to play with aggression. Now he just seems to be going through motions. Needs to get back to where he was 2 seasons ago.
Definitely a mental thing right now. He had a terrible year in Sacramento last year with injuries, off court drama, and getting replaced by Domas. He’s uncertain of himself and his role.
Thing is, I think he could be a superstar backup for Domas getting 16-18 minutes/night if he just brought the energy, hustle, defense, and BBIQ that he was a couple years prior. But idk if he’d be satisfied with that. May just be time for a change of scenery.
Buddy too. Hali and Buddy got Richaun the ball just where he wanted it to make the push shot. Doesn’t seem like it would be too much trouble to get him a few shots from his favorite spot.
I rather enjoy Eric Reid the more and more I listen to him do games. I used to not, but I guess hearing other announcers makes me appreciate the skill and effort he puts into his craft. Broadcasting is not easy.
Always, his D has been a surprise to me, he is really putting in the effort to stay in front of his man. What your thoughts about that side of his game?
I think he was billed as solid on D. And I agree. He doesn’t make stupid mistakes, works the angles. And its hard as hell to keep moving like he does on offense and still stay in front of your man on D.
I’m impressed by his whole game.
No Fox. Heat revenge game. This one feels challenging. Would love to see the team step up and steal one though.
No Jimmy Butler either though…
And Herro has a blurred eye
Take out the other eye
Then he could be a referee!
Kings firing on all cylinders early

what do y’all think!

Domas getting away with more contact tonight than before. Not only is it nice as a Kings fan, it’s just more fun basketball.
Davion back to his normal play this season
Barnes, too. Holmes is the last guy to find his rhythm.
Consistency is key.
Huerter…Man
Love the range
Murray has taken 3 shots so far….
Helluva pass by Murray to Sabonis
And now a smart defensive play to draw a charge.
Refs continue their crusade of trying to give Sabonis bogus foul calls. Fortunately, that one was an easy challenge to overturn
I’ve been pretty satisfied with the officiating tonight tbh. They’ve been letting them play on both ends.
Fun half!
Start the steal and win these next 2 quarters
With Orlando coming up, we could be .500 after the stretch everyone was dreading….
Don’t do this too us
NHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! DONT SAY THAT!
Regretted it the moment I posted it lol
Keegan short on 3s. Go cut to the hoop
Malik is funnn when he’s on.
MALIK GODDAMN!!!
Domas 3 – why not?

I couldn’t ask anymore out of Fox this year. A complete player. I take the point on ball movement though.
He’s been a great scorer and done better w/shooting. His D has been fantastic this year. His assists near his norm.
True but TO ‘s very high .

I was an early doubter of Monk and I am happily chomping on my crow
Definitely a hot and cold guy but at least he doesn’t dribble off his legs or space out on D
does richaun know what’s going on? Guy looks lost on both ends

Not having someone like Bogi or Hali to help set him up has him looking lost out here.
His game always seemed to be predicated on hustle and energy plays. He doesn’t even look like he’s hustling.
Buddy too. Hali and Buddy got Richaun the ball just where he wanted it to make the push shot. Doesn’t seem like it would be too much trouble to get him a few shots from his favorite spot.
Is it 8v5 time?
If that is a flagrant, my comments on the Refs will violate ToS
What’s up with Keegan? Looks lost
Miami night life is undefeated
He isn’t drinking age and they kept him on a boat.
Dude is 22
I just assumed as he is a rookie…
I mean he is a rookie
Go Kings, can’t let Deadmon beat us!
NBA League Pass is trash. Lags, freezes, volume is inconsistent. A multi-billion dollar industry can’t get their streaming shit right. What a joke
Absolutely agree!
I mean, there are many other streaming apps/services that get it right.
True
Hobby, I have the Heat channel on Direct Tv and the play has been good, and the announcing very fair save for the Keegan flagrant.
I rather enjoy Eric Reid the more and more I listen to him do games. I used to not, but I guess hearing other announcers makes me appreciate the skill and effort he puts into his craft. Broadcasting is not easy.
I really enjoyed Reid’s game call tonight. I only noticed the one groan when a Bam shot rimmed out. Really a good listen.
Much better than Kings talkathon . But who isn’t ?
Love when everyone touches the ball
One thing is certain: Whoever agreed to get Red Velvet go in Atlanta was a grade A fool. Dude can ball. Every time he shoots I think it’s going in.
let Red Velvet go, that is …
Always, his D has been a surprise to me, he is really putting in the effort to stay in front of his man. What your thoughts about that side of his game?

Big run by the Kings here. Monk been clutch this whole game providing them that spark off the bench
He has been great hasn’t he.
Yikes. Kings already in the penalty with 7 minutes left in the 4th
If we can get this kind of basketball from the Kings consistently, it’s gonna be a fun season.
Mitchell in for the close.
God dammit. Huerter leaving with trainer to the locker room
Phew. He’s back
2nd chance opportunities….
Uh oh missing a closer
Monk
Need someone to take over and step up.
On D against herro
Tyler Herro got the memo
Tyler Herro is what the Kings wanted Stauskas to be.
That pick still doesn’t make sense years later.
Wonder what Bill Simmons thinks of mitchel now lol
Simmons is a clown
Red Velvet time
Big bucket by Huerter
RED RAIN!
Heat announcer about Heurter…”He’s been an assassin out there beyond the arc…that’s a big basket for the Kings”
He’s the executioner
Monk got some dog in him which we really need a couple of if not a 3 dog might
where the hell are the parents of those kids screaming in the background?
No doubt
Those brats should be ejected from the arena.
Think they dropped them off at the game and went home for some quality time
It’s Miami so high on coke.
Shit was unbelievably annoying throughout the entire game
I’ve got headphones on – someone needs to remove the children behind the Kings announcers. They’re screaming their heads off.
Poor defense and a bad turnover leads to a quick 7-0 Heat run. Monk has had a good game but that was too much iso ball there by him
These feel like hometown refs. Ticky tack fouls on Sac, then Barnes gets brutalized a couple times, no call.
Out of control down the stretch, Monk, Barnes
Still don’t understand that play call for HB spin cycle to nowhere
We def lost
did you take the under on the Heat?
Small lineup. We’re gonna get killed on the boards
WTH .. not sure I would’ve taken Keegan out — I’d have him in for Barnes, he recovers well on D and scores better.
Ugh, Domas gotta finish that at the rim!
How can you miss that
Well damn. Herro took over down the stretch
Wow Dellava with a hellava pass… just to the wrong person
Bad loss
Wow what a game. Tough way to lose but what an incredible shot by Herro.
I think this team could be a title contender in the very near future
Just don’t watch the games if it makes you so miserable?
I’m too big of a Kings fan to stop watching them this early in the season
Weren’t you the guy that wished an injury on Fox a couple nights ago? Quite the fan.
Yes cause I don’t think this team is going anywhere with him around anyways.
Herro travelled right in front of ref.
Never ever wish an injury on anyone, it’s just a game satdawg, we all want them to win. All of us. Me. You. Everyone here.
Game over, review, ridiculous
I’m fucking pissed
You’ll be back.
26 lead changes. A little too out of control moving the ball with about 2 mins left. Three possessions, no shots.
The Kings need drastically improve their defense. Every win is going to be close until they do so. Need to get better at rebounding as well.
When a team spends sixteen years simply trying to keep games in range and win a few, closing out games is like putting humans on Pluto.
Close games we need Fox
And his D that he has been playing this year.
Barnes and Murray combined for 19 points on 19 shots. That is not going to cut it if the team wants to win
Oh Herro travelled last 3. SOB. Thanks refs
Brown is passively aggressively calling out the refs for two “blatant calls right in front of guys”
Now Mike drops the passive….
You can easily use AI cameras for this. Human idiots are not needed
Watching it again now.
Travel.
