The Heat’s grit, physicality and experience might kill us in the end. But if the Kings come out and set the tone with some speed and toughness of their own, I think they can pull this one out.
Coming out strong would be nice. Here’s hoping they got plenty of sleep last night and saved the partying for tonight’s post-game celebrations.
If they stumble early and try to play catch up rest assured Jimmy and Bam will punish them for it.
Jwalker you were 100% right until you got to……But if the Kings…..They didn’t. They had a nice little run. Keegan rocked….Domas for another Trip/Dub…..Fox and Monk went walk about….probably reminiscing about their time at Kentucky. This team doesn’t look like last years team in the slightest.
Go Kings!
Let’s dream big and cry hard with 7 game road sweep and then lose to Detroit for home game before trade deadline lol
Trivia Question (easy): Who missed the shot that led to Fox’s game-winning putback dunk in Miami in his rookie year?
I instantly thought of someone (and was wrong), I had to watch the video on the pre-game page to see who it was.
Bogi?
Winner!
My first thought was Hield
I miss Bogi
a subplot of this game is what I’d reckon is the battle for third best center in the league
Is NBA Pass down? It sucks bad at best of times, but I can’t get the game going at all
Great energy and effort. Good to see from our first unit. Hope Monk is rested and ready to bring the same with the second unit. But if any one could find the flu on a Tuesday night in Miami it would be Mr. Monk.
it’s quite amazing the transformation Kevin Love has made through his career as the game evolved
so the Refs didn’t give Fox the call when Rozier made minor contact with Fox’s body while he was in the air…lets see if they stay consistent
Monk with his stupid passes again
he was fouled
edited: at least on the 1st one 🙂
Kings players have to get ready to receive crazy passes from Monk, else auto TO
On the errant pass that went from one side of the key, cross court and Mitchell couldn’t handle.
Nice Hurter
Ok Monk we see you.
Kings bench terrible yet again.
Richardson is 3/3 from the left wing 3, don’t let him shoot from there.
Heat have shot poorly while opponents have shot lights out from 3. Opposite happening tonight. Predictable with kings in town. Jrich looking like Steph right now. Might want to cover him.
meant to add that heat have been shooting poorly over their 7 game losing streak.
I can’t really criticize anything about this game, because it’s a textbook scheduled loss. It’s a city where the Kings have only won 5 time in their history, against a team on a long losing streak game, after said team held a player-only meeting.
This is pretty much exactly what I was expecting to see.
That said, I’m a bit sad to see Sabonis end his dub-dub streak.
Need to stay close in 4th to try to steal one
What are some things that are more interesting to watch than the Kings tonight?
Weather Channel?
Keegan Is The Answer
Herro hooked Davion and Davion got called for the foul. This is by many miles the worst season of officiating I’ve ever seen.
he absolutely hooked him
That’s what I assumed they whistled. I was confused when they called the foul on Davion.
Nice defense there, the switch between HB and Mitchell on Butler was done well and then Keegan with the block
Luckily the Kings have Keegan and Domas
Nice take Davion! And 1
Too busy to see the first half, but I can see by the comments that this is a scheduled loss and that Domas’s double-double streak has ended.
So in other words, it is nice to hear that the Kings have won and the double-double streak will continue.
They finally put the clamps on defensively in the final few minutes of the 2nd and closed the 16 point deficit to 4.
Nice! I’ll see the replay on the app later tonight.
no dub-dub for Domas…he’s on pace for a trip-dub instead
No clue what was going on earlier, but the Kings are looking pretty good right now.
Missed 3s, turnovers, leaving 3pt shooters open. Typical reasons kings get down early
And there’s the Domas double-double with 8:55 left in the third quarter. 😉
The Heat have one of the better broadcasting teams of the league and they´re not even doing anything special. All it takes is not trying to be all that spectacular, giving the opponents credit and not be blatant homers. Ours could learn a thing or two from them.
I hope Keegan gets some shots off 4th Q
Paging De’Aaron Fox. Hey we need you to show up!
Domas, another triple-double.
Malik is really burning through that half season of goodwill from the fanbase
Well it doesn’t help that our former All Star max contract PG gives up the ball to Monk so Monk can drive into a 1 on 3 scenario.
I have seen enough of Monk tonight
You want to see more turnovers?
This team with Domas and Keegan on the bench just isn’t the same.
They’re going to reverse the goaltending call.
Fox needs to drive on those.
Fox just standing at half court. LOL
I’m starting to wonder if his lack of engagement and enthusiasm the past month is also a matter of him having been passed by as the leader and face of the team by Domas?
Me too. He played this way with Hali as well which supports your point. Just giving up the ball and not even trying. We’ve seen this before.
that was when Domas arrived, not now. Domas was a higher mvp candidate last year
Take Fox out already JFC. He’s literally doing nothing.
Yup. So passive. Hopefully not earning an all-star causes him to play with fire. Sheez!!!
I think the only way he makes it is as an injury replacement. He started the season hot, but his production has taken a downturn since the 1st of the year.
So has his EFFORT.
holy cow how did Bam get to that oop
the Kentucky boys are losing the Kings the game tonight
This one is over. Kings can’t make a shot or get a stop. Can’t get in 18 point holes and expect to win games.
Monk has 6 points, 2 fouls, and 3 TOs in 14 minutes. No other stats
Is your team in a shooting slump? Let the Kings help you break out of it.
Frustrations aside, can we take a moment to appreciate that beautiful alley-oop from Herro to Bam? That’s the kind of play that reminds me why I love to watch the NBA.
Forth quarter Fux!
Stop taking 3s Fox. Drive or shoot the mid-range for fucks sake!
Our “AllStars” not looking so good
LOL. Fox 1-8 from 3.
Just saw that…yep, but hey don’t complain about him – you’ll be branded as a “hater”
Passive fox before, now dumb shots fox.
So everyone is going to take a shot EXCEPT our leading scorer??? Get Keegan the ball!
He’s on the bench for some reason.
He’s still on the floor. He just fouled Butler.
They ain’t catching up tonight. Unfortunate, but unsurprising. This team is just off. Even the win streak was meh. Hate to be the team that let another team end their prolonged losing streak, though.
“It’s effort based stuff with Domas” – Kayte. What is it with Fox?
The pony is dead dude
Scroll past if you don’t like it. I’ll keep commenting, thanks.
Didn´t expect or demand anything else
Does fox not like Keegan? Seems like he never passed to him.
Fox is playing like a punk. He’s not even trying.
No more 3s for Fox. If he wasn’t 3 he can drive and get the foul.
That’s the problem when you don’t give Keegan touches. No rhythm.
8 days and some change until the trade deadline. Tick tock, Monte.
Feels like Fox saved Mike Brown’s dog that Keegan tried to kill with the leash lengths and playing time they’re each getting.
Would’ve been happy with a 4-3 road trip, ecstatic with 5-2. Still very achievable.
It feels strange, but yeah definitely can come out of this with a nice record on the road trip. Efforts like tonight just won’t cut it though.
Fox stinking it up…but he’s the only way we win this one. Needs to go off.
Josh Richardson is tonight’s scrub turned all star
He’s a good player! Not a scrub! LOL
…when facing us
Just let keegan shoot 3s every time
Give him 8 more and give Fox 8 less and we probably win.
Don’t find Keegan until 2 min left in the game, who then proceeds to make back to back 3’s to keep us in.
It was a textbook team meeting game for Miami.
Who is that behind Coach Brown…oooooohhlala!
If you’d told me before the game that Keegan would have 33 and Sabonis a very strong triple double, I’d have assumed a win. Huerter was good, Barnes disappeared and Fox just couldn’t shoot well.
I may write my local representatives to see what they can do about never having Duece and Mo paired up on the pre/post broadcast again.
Why, were they that bad? I only listened a little but have tended to like them.
The Kings need a backup PG so desperately. Monks poor play at the position has made me think about being okay with trading him. When all that needs to happen is for him to play more off ball and create for himself, moreso than others. He doesn’t value the basketball and it causes way too many live ball turnovers. Backup PG and a defensive minded wing are a must to even be considered a threat in the West. Yet, it seems they are dead set on pursuing Kuzma. Whatever the plan is, just execute it and don’t stand pat. Just a hair over 7 days remain until the deadline.
