I’m seeing the Kings as 3.5 point underdogs.
Go Kings and all, but the Kings have to be bigger underdogs than that.
I hate national TV games. I can’t watch them on my NBA TV subscription. Plus, I’d much rather listen to Kayte and Kyle then a bunch of national media talking heads who haven’t seen a Kings game since Webber. They only ever care about whichever big market team we’re playing that night anyway.
But I especially don’t like that the Clips are probably going to win this one, while the ESPN crew slanders Sabonis all night for having fake triple-doubles or whatever.

Feels like they need too many things to go exactly right. Health, team chemistry, matchups, good v. bad nights, etc. For this team to have a chance at a deep run it needs 100% optimization and I just don’t think it’s going to be there reliably enough.

That is simply negligent analysis by Bob there saying that the reason Sabonis gets the double doubles and triple doubles is because the ball goes through him so much.
Does he say that about the Joker and his triple doubles.

It’s bad announcing, unprepared, no more and no less.
He did lead one of the best dynasties for a decade, so he has a pretty good amount of experience.
I don’t deny that part of his career. But, here is an example of being unprepared or not calling a game his eyes are seeing. Bob said four times when Fox went to the bench “where are the points going to come from without fox?” A decent announcer would say from Monk who is one of the better 6th men in the game, or Harrison Barnes, an excellent iso down low shooter who came in when Fox went out. He did not. He kept saying where are the points going to come from, and the Kings, as Beth noted, actually extended the Kings lead.
Bob has gotten a bit quieter since that Sabonis dunk widened the Kings lead to 17

Your post re Westbrook’s use of his off arm and elbow did not go unnoticed. All, I have to say it again, All of his shots had a push off, or a high elbow across the bridge of the nice or a shoulder push as he bowled his way to the basket. His best days are behind him, I think your post made me realize how much I am coming to loath the free arm push, or the two hands on the defenders chest push off that Steph uses regularly. He’s a great shooter, the best over, he doesn’t need to do it, but it’s a big part of his game.

Yes, troll. The point was beating the last place team in the West (Spurs) shouldn’t get you all excited. As a good team, you should expect to beat a bad team. Not worth celebrating like you won a playoff series, like what you were doing. I even stated that Sundays game vs the Clippers would be worth showing some excitement, since they lead the division and handedly beat the Kings the first two times (double digits both times). Kings have 4th toughest schedule remaining. More work to be done. Tonight without Jimmy Butler, this is a game the Kings need to capitalize on. Still a good team without him, of course. Nothing wrong with being an objective fan. Still need either Murray or Lyles/another bench player to start giving consistent value on the court. Good to see Huerter has been playing better the last couple weeks, but still need consistency from another starter and bench player to remain above the play in line. Not sure another bench player we currently have is capable of that though…however, Murray is capable and needs to hit his stride by early March. Go Kings! Don’t be a troll, who tells half the story. I agree Hobby, Lowe has some really great podcasts that I really enjoy listening to, it’s a little oriented toward eastern conference teams but that is ok. He does really decent analysis and has interesting guests.
