What I like about Brad Daughtery is that he’s both excited for the Cavs but offers thoughts and analysis about the other team for the fans who may know less about the opponent than their follow fans.
Daughtery is one of the better former player analysts out there IMO.
One bad quarter, one good quarter for each team to start this one. Keegan gotta make sure he doesn’t pick up his 4th foul early in the 3rd…offense really missed his that 2nd quarter. Need more from both Monk, Huerter, and especially Davion on the offensive end if they’re gonna pull this one out.
Kings are really struggling to generate clean looks. It’s amazing what happens when you miss a guy like Fox in this circumstance. Especially on the road where that type of play is more valuable.
In case you wonder what the full Domantas Sabonis experience is, just watch the final 9 minutes of this game. That pretty much sums it all up, good and bad.
The Domas effect is a powerful one. You saw it in full force to end the game. Plus the Cavs aren’t that good of an offensive team without Mitchell. This was how they lost a lot of their games in the 2nd half last year.
Kings shot poorly at the FT line and had 17 turnovers and still won on the road vs a very good opponent. That’s the beauty of playing good defense, and the Kings defense continues to trend upward
Not gonna lie. With about 6 minutes to go down 8 or do, I thought the Kings were lose it. Never saw a 19-0 run to finish the game. Has to be the most impressive win of the season. Wow.
Wow… Road win against a good team when you shoot 18-30 from free throw line is great and a little lucky. Kings were the aggressor during crunch time. Cavs do a good job of disrupting the other teams offensive flow which is why the kings assist numbers were so low.
It was a very physical game by both teams. The Kings absorbed all the grabbing, palm pushes, triple teams on Domas, moving picks and body blocks…as did the Cavs, but the Kings didn’t falter. They dealt it right back and went on an 18-0 run.
When is the last time the Kings were at .500 on the road, 6-6, moving toward Christmas? Really, it doesn’t matter when that last time was.
That was then and this is now.
They are playing without any fear of losing. That is history also….

The Rick Adelman era. I keep saying that alot in response to these, but that’s what this is starting to feel like to me. The beginning of that era. Except there isn’t a wackadoodle kamikaze 50 game blazeathon to kick it all off.
Brown: “I hope I am not saying this too soon. (Long Pause). But, when you win a game like that on the road, I hope I am not saying this too soon….we have a pretty good team.”
Listen to his interview if you can. Makes you proud for all the times you weren’t, if that makes sense.
A quarter of the season has ended, and the Kings are 14-10 and the 5th seed in the West. Been a Kings fan since the Bagley trade and was just gutted when we missed the playoffs that season. Now with a better GM, coach and culture I am elated and super happy on what the team is currently doing.
Also, the Lakers are 10-14 with LeBron and AD playing, currently at the 13th seed and have a 50% chance of making the play-ins.
All’s right in the world today.

Gallo del Cielo likes our chances.
Let’s go Davion.
Good start. Can’t expect the Kings to keep shooting like this, but the ball is moving and the team is defending well.
Very impressive first quarter. Seven for nine from three? Murray four for four? His slump is over.
LOL Monk is so sick.
Questionable blocking call on Murray followed by two missed Mobley free throws. Ball don’t lie.
Pretty safe to say that this Kings defense is much improved since the first half-dozen games.
yeah Sabonis. He’s on my team .
Cavaliers color guy ALMOST makes me want to listen to Kayte.
Almost.
I like him. He’s actually being honest about how good the Kings are now.
Brad Daugherty
He more like a guy sitting next to you at the bar who is emotionally invested in the game.
Yes
What I like about Brad Daughtery is that he’s both excited for the Cavs but offers thoughts and analysis about the other team for the fans who may know less about the opponent than their follow fans.

This is exactly why I miss Jerry. He would’ve told us about Lamar Steven’s game. Not some pseudo coaching soliloquy from Kayte
Love how Domas goes straight into the chest of this Cleveland frontcourt.
On paper, the best defensive frontcourt in the league. Sabonis says, “prove it.”
Yeah, the aggression is impressive.
Hopefully made baskets or more drawn fouls come out of it.
Davion taking on Goliath and effectively & repeatedly boxing out Mobley from getting to a rebound there. Crazy.
Damn. I was hoping to see a bigger offensive showing from Davion today.
That lead evaporated pretty fast. Didn’t expect for the Kings to outrebound Cleveland in the first half, though.
me so far laughing at the Sacto FB group people who thinks Kings are better with Davion starting lol
For a guy who has never complained and always been the best player on the team, Fox gets a truly bizarre amount of hate.
For real, Fox should have alot to say for the past 5 years of not having a team until now
He is not the best player on this team . Best scorer only .
He got the hate long before he became the second best player
Is Bill Simmons in the group?
Think I saw him pitch Fox for Russ + 2 LA firsts the other day and was reminded that the national media doesn’t know s***.

Monk taking too many off the dribble shots. I’d like to see the ball move more and see if we can’t get a catch and shoot instead.
Yeah, the ball movement suffers when the second unit is on the floor.
He’s trying too hard to be “the guy” without Fox in the lineup and needs to let the game come to him
Agreed.
Yeah he’s been a little too erratic.
That Davion three was a relief.
Keegan needs to get more than 4 shots up.
well now he missed
and got a foul.
Foul trouble ruined his rhythm, and now he just picked up his 4th
Yep, unfortunately.
As expected, I guess, Cavs miss Donovan more than the Kings miss Fox.
Garland has quickly become one of my favorite non-Kings players in the league. So shifty, so lethal as a shooter, but always makes the right decision.
We are going to need Malik Monk in order to win.
15/23 from the FT line. Can’t have that on the road, especially against good teams
Hmm, that might be it for Huerter.
Couldn’t really tell what it was but hopefully it’s nothing serious for Huerter.
Sabonis is going to have to get better at protecting the rim. layup drill
Monk? Where are you?
You called?
ha. Go get them Malik
That was a seriously stupid ridiculously brilliant move by LeVert.
Free Throw issues….Feels like the early 90s
Great, Domas is missing his FT’s now. Just lovely.
It just feels like we aren’t going to get it done tonight.
Having said that, I am happy to be wrong.
Hey Malik, there you are!
Riding the elevator up!
Damn Fox looking Foxy on the bench today with that wardrobe attire
This is the house that Delly built!
Delly quietly having a big impact on the game
Indeed
So sound defensively
Terrible Thread Jack: https://nypost.com/2022/12/09/us-soccer-journalist-grant-wahl-dies-while-covering-world-cup-in-qatar/
It really looks like a Soccer journalist was murdered in Qatar.
This world cup has been a complete disgrace for FIFA, Qatar, and the world.
That rejection of Lyles was one of the best plays I’ve seen in a while.
Down 1 with 12 minutes to go. Value the ball, move the ball, defend without fouling. Let’s go!
Both teams playing well without their stars. Great individual plays on offense and defense.
These teams look like they’re equally matched.
Fun game to watch.
Well put.
5 on Jarrett Allen. Huge call.
Guru you’re right. Daugherty is pretty good once I got past the initial cartoon character outburst.
Stop the unforced turnovers!
Delly passed up a shot he really should have taken. Unfortunately Lyles gets called for the foul on Osman.
The downside of Malik Monk is on display tonight.
Erratic tonight.
Looks like Huerter is out. I wonder what the Kings’ closing lineup is going to look like.
Happy to be wrong lol
Kayte said may be a shoulder re-aggravated. Hope not serious.
Phew. Huerter back in!
Heurter back in
Kings just trying to force things too much offensively, which is playing right into this stout Cavs defense hands
About time for Barnes to come back in for Monk. Game starting to slip away a bit
Feels like the Kings need to run a really good offensive set this next time down. The offense hasn’t been there.
Kings force a turnover just to throw the ball away right after. Killing themselves at a chance at coming back
How many turnovers in the 4th so far? Feels like 8-10 already
Kings are really struggling to generate clean looks. It’s amazing what happens when you miss a guy like Fox in this circumstance. Especially on the road where that type of play is more valuable.
Keeping it close but running out of time. Cannot keep shooting themselves in the foot. It’s go time
14-0 run by them immediately after this
Saboner pass
I’m amazed the Kings are still in this game. It’s felt like the Cavs put it out of reach.
Team has done well all year punching back
DEFENSE!
DOMAS SHOT BLOCKING DEFENSE AT THAT!!!!
Sabonis with the D!
Saboner block
Saboner steal
Beautiful beautiful beautiful
This has been a wild mood swing type of game. I hope the Kings are up at the end. LOL
Keegan!!!
K33GAN!
THAT’S. MY. GODDAMN. ROOKIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Donovan Mitchell whispering to Darius Garland: Oh man, you guys are gonna lose.
Wow game of runs my friends
The Kings couldn’t run offense. Now the Cavs can’t. I love it!!!!
Schedule loss.
For the Cavs.
Schedule win for Kings my friend.
Tremendously impressed by the mental toughness of this team.
Absolutely no fear, Heurter was really impactful when he came back on the court. Hit a 3 and Keegan immediately hit another 3 and the Cavs puckered.
Really holding the Cavs scoreless for the last 4 and half minutes of the 4th quarter. Wow!
Utterly amazed by that. I really thought the Cavs had the game.
17-0 run. It is written.
Love the defensive effort in crunch time. That is the key for us to taking the next step.
Goddamn you Davion. You’re not allowed to miss FT’s. EVER.
What a win! Kings getting it done on D.
LIGHT THE BEAM!!!
LIGHT THE BEAMS!
&ct=g
Saboner win!
LIGHT THE BEAM!
LIGHT! THAT! BEAM!
In case you wonder what the full Domantas Sabonis experience is, just watch the final 9 minutes of this game. That pretty much sums it all up, good and bad.
The defense at the end was nice. Couple blocks, gobbled up rebounds, fancy passes.

Kings win, Lakers lose.
The universe is slowly regaining its course.
Hopefully this is prescience. Phone says they went into overtime.
Not gonna lie. With about 6 minutes to go down 8 or do, I thought the Kings were lose it. Never saw a 19-0 run to finish the game. Has to be the most impressive win of the season. Wow.
Mike, only the second loss of the season at home for the Cavs. Quite a feat.
reminiscent of that Utah v Warriors game two nights ago. Sort of.
Can’t wait for the next game. Let’s do some damage on this road trip.
It was a great game to watch. Domas so impressive. He is an All Star for sure. And Davion locked down Garland in that last half of the 4th.
Silent Night, Holy Night. Ha.
Put the league on notice!
Love it are guys play hard, play aggressive, and never give up. Opposing announcers start the game skeptical and at the end it’s all praises.
Wow… Road win against a good team when you shoot 18-30 from free throw line is great and a little lucky. Kings were the aggressor during crunch time. Cavs do a good job of disrupting the other teams offensive flow which is why the kings assist numbers were so low.
19-0 to en the game
Keegan stringing good performances together the last handful of games. He’s so back
What I find astounding about this team is that Kevin Huerter led the Kings in FGA tonight with 15. LOL
6 of 8 from three. Big ones down the stretch.
As much as I loved Haliburton, tonight proved the trade was the right move. Sabonis is just such a rock. Now practice your free throws.
Just got home… was listening to The G-Man in the car…. This is some great shit! I’m definitely watching this game at 11:00

I am not sure I have ever seen anything quite like those last 5 minutes. At least not from the Kings
